- Comparing breeder boxes lokking at the positives and negatives. Having the wrong one could end up in a disaster- I know all about that. Hate when it happens, but thats life. Hopefully you can avoid disastre by getting some pointers in this video :) What is your favourite?

Arctic fish keeping can easily provide some challenges! Surprisingly it can also have some perks like special water conditions. This was very helpful. I've had repeated problems with water flow killing fry (and some house mates trying to 'help' by topping up the water with untreated water) and had considered getting the larger hang on marine breeder (as it is very good!) but, after watching, I think the net will suit my set up much better. I had trouble finding any reviews on different breeder boxes with pros and cons so it was lovely to see, thank you.
Awesome, thank you for speaking to all of the styles! I have some large Fancy Goldfish which are swollen and dropping eggs right now. I have never dealt with this situation before and am looking forward to trying to raise some fry, perhaps we will end up with some nice new fish to add to the big tank. I decided on the bigger box that hangs on outside with the air powered circulation pump. The Marina breeder box. That one looks like the fry can stay safe in for quite a long time as they grow. It also opens many options for different uses.

I love the Marina breeding box, it is the best for a targeted mating and for getting my dwarf shrimp into the habit ... a great rewiew keep it up
Great video. I am just getting into the hobby and my electric blue acara have already got wigglers. They have only been in the tank for 2 weeks. Was not expecting this to happen so soon. I have been struggling trying to decide what breeding box to get. This answered so many of my questions.

What was the second one you are using and I am wondering if I can use it for breeding cpds? It was the one right before the marina breeding box
Another problem with net breeder is when you do a water change in the main tank as water level is going down under the net breeder...

Why do you mark bereder net -as unsuited for corries?
I have eggs in the tumbeler.., thinking IT Would be Great useing net boks for startfeed (?)
I have the basket one for my fry and it’s great the only Bad thing about it is the fry can get stuck underneath the blue plastic bits and unfortunately pass away and be squashed..it’s a very aweful sight to see! HOWEVER my basket did come slightly broken so that may be why but apart from that it’s good!
My main problem with the the hang off, breeder tank, I've had from experience the fish fry can jump out and end up back with the grown fish :( it makes it so hard to keep all contained
Hello. :) Thank you for the great video. Lot's of information! I was wondering if you think I can hang the L Marine Hang on breeder box on a Juwel RIO 180. The RIO 180 isn't rimless so I'm curious about your thoughts on this. Thank you very much from the Netherlands. :)
Thats a really good question 🤔 I don't know if it will fit, so if you go for one the you could consider buying one with a refund option or see if you can find the measurements of the box and its hinges 🙂

Can you put shrimp in here? I have 2 pregnant ghost shrimp and not sure what to do
I havent tried with shrimp fry and Im not sure if it will work since they are so small and I dont know if they will get enough algeae to eat in there. If you try let me know :D Im curious about it

I use a medium hight breeding basket my fish easily jumb out from it and swim as it's way! Now iam going to alter it for that naughty fish!
It got one big disadvantage that the fry could stuck in the border of the net at the breeder box and die
I need to get one because my fish eat the fry
