    Yes indeed. In Virginia we have nothing but 2+ story houses and rinsing with a bypass is a time saver! Rinsing is the most time consuming of a job and water flow without a bypass is super restricted. Also good job explaining the simple process of flushing out the injector. I typically turn the little three-way valve when I'm doing my final rinse of something small while keeping my injector engaged. This ensures the injector and injector hoses get flushed at the end. It's part of every job process and keeps me from buying 5 injectors during a season.

    Knowledge is everything. I may not have a pressure washer with high gpm or even a bypass injector, but found this info very informative and will even watch it a few times to fully understand it.
    Years ago I was watching random videos that were recommended by RUclips, unlike now it's more who I've subscribed to just bc of the time to watch them.
    What I'll say is some out there may do things the way they were taught or know what works. Having knowledge of why something do what it does is key I feel. That way when an issue arise, not only can you repair it, you know other ways to get the job completed too.
    I'm with you on being able to control the pressure with the tips as well. Very informative video. 👍🏽

    Gotta say I'm a big fan of x jet. My situation is a bit different though. I do a LOT of remote location work. pumping creek water kind of remote jobs. It's just easier to pull the hose. I'm one of those guys paying 4.65 / gal for 10% I site mix and give a spot option for scent cover. It sounds odd, but can really help to close tough sales in a "difficult" market. I do keep a downstream injector set for 2%. That's good enough for most bulk jobs in Oregon. Great points for folks getting into the business.

    Early early on when I was watching videos online, I noticed that not everyone use the same terms.
    SH = Sodium Hypochlorite = Chlorine = Higher percentage bleach. Which it really varies, I have seen some use 12.5% 10% or even gallon containers with 8%. But I didn't realize there was such differences in prices for the same product, so it make sense depending on what someone can get at the best price to get the job done at the part of the country they are in. Make total sense now.
    Even knowing surfactant is soap, everyone says it how they know it.

    Hey Cliff, awesome content! Couple of questions if you don't mind. Is the downstream injector adjustable or fixed at a certain ratio? So the SH tank is full strength either 10 or 12.5% right? I've heard of the bypass before, but this was an AWESOME explanation of how it works in real life! Thanks again.

    • @PinkFlamingoPowerWash
      @PinkFlamingoPowerWash  Год назад +3

      There are downstream injectors that are adjustable but No you would never reach full strength. Downstream injectors are meant to cut the sh down to 2% and below. Only way to achieve above that percentage is to have dedicated softwash system like a 12v pump, gas roof pump, or air diaphragm pump.
      downstreaming is the weakest form of chemical application that's why it works well on basic house washes, pool cages, fences, and pool screens. Most of the time that 1-2% mix will clean whatever you got lined up.

  • @Carternc8
    @Carternc8 3 месяца назад +1

    For the bypass injector. The plastic valve you have set up. Do you need to run some kind of pump in order to pull the water or chemical to the system or does it feed itself fine without it? I plan on just running braided hose like you did into my tanks but wanted to make sure I don’t need anything else in between.

  • @Americanoutdoor120
    @Americanoutdoor120 23 дня назад +1

    I have a question maybe it was answered. I want to set my pressure washer downstream like that with the three-way so I can rinse my injector. I’ll have one line connected to my water tank one line connected to my downstream injector and then one line connected to my bleach tank, but it will only be SH in that tank. I don’t put surfactant in the tank only because I don’t know if I will use the bleach in time and it will go to waste? Do you put surfactant in your tank or are you just pulling SH?

    • @PinkFlamingoPowerWash
      @PinkFlamingoPowerWash  23 дня назад

      Yes correct. 1 to water 1 to sh tank tank and one to the downstream injector.
      I mix my surfactant with sh and it doesn't go bad that quick as you would think. It would have to be sitting for weeks on end in the sun to start getting weaker. The surfactant is sh stable to nothing will happen to it.
