Good video. I have the same exact awning and Iove it! Everyone is always impressed when I deploy it. I am not too crazy about the welds however. Talking about where the arms meet the central hub. I am not a welder but it almost seems like even I could have done a better job. How do the welds on yours look?
This video was perfect. Im looking into this awning for the passenger side of my FJ cruiser. Just need to figure out how im going to mount it on the factory roof rack.
Got this awning from watching RUclips videos such as yours. Thanks for posting. Depending on the type of your roof rack, the OVS hardware that came with my 270 awning may or may not fit. My roof rack is from UpTop. I did a slight modification and the awning works 👍 great.
@@OneFlewOver1776 The UpTop awning brackets are available on their website. However, I used the brackets that came with the OVS awning utilizing carriage bolts to fit into the UpTop load bars. It’s functional and strong holding up the OVS 270 awning. Deployed the OVS awning a few times now and it’s looking pretty darn good providing decent amount of shade.
@@mango4064 I also have the uptop rack and looking at this awning. What carriage bolts did you find to fit the track system? Would you be willing to share a picture of how you mounted yours- thanks in advance!
Good morning. I've been searching for deals on this awning. I can find great deals on the passenger side awning, but the driver's side awning is always full price. Can you help me understand why most people want the driver's side over the passenger side?
One treason is if you back into a campsite, the picnic table is usually on the passenger side. Also if you pull off to the side of a trail your awning will be on the forest side, not on the road side.

Can that system be mounted forward more on the vehicle so there’s not a gap between the awning and the back of the topper?
