- I went through all 40 episodes of Donkey Kong Country, mashed together every line of dialogue from King K. Rool and no more, and spent weeks compiling them all into one video. Not to mention the extra four days of rendering and the other extra 8 hours of uploading it onto RUclips...

Besides, we may respect your opinion, but they’re gonna go with Hollywood actors, well known or partially known, to voice King K Rool. But if they suceed in creating a voice for the evil croc that is the same or better than in this show, then it’s a win-win for everyone. I personally think Brendan Gleeson would pull it off

I did really like his voice in DK64, but unfortunately we just didn't get to hear enough of it. Really bummed me out that most K Rool cutscenes don't have his dialogue voiced, yet he's voiced in the intro cinematic.

This show is honestly what made me love K. Rool as a character. It showed him as a conniving and nasty villain, but with an undeniable silly streak. Combine that with his genuinely excellent and hilarious writing and the fantastic vocal performance, and you get this absolute gem of a character. Game K. Rool is great, but I can't help but wish they would give him more of a personality in-line to this; undeniably nasty, but with a genuine silly streak. The closest thing I feel we got to this version of the character was in Donkey Kong Country 3, but because he was barely in it we don't see it fleshed out that well. Should they make another DKC Returns game and bring back K. Rool as the villain, I would love it if they portrayed him similar to this; make him humorous, but make sure to give him the nastiness that oozed from the character since his appearance in Donkey Kong Country.

Look at how much this character animates in comparison to the rest of them, his twitching and other mannerisms , and general presentation made me fall in love with the character. He’s a rare case of a goofy villain who is really nasty and has no redeeming qualities period.

This portrayal of King K. Rool is the reason why I love him as a character in general if i’m gonna be honest. While his other voice actors in the games are also great, Ben Campbell is the one that always comes to mind.

Benedict Campbell also voiced Papa in the Berenstain Bears animated series (the 2003 one produced by Nelvana and aired on PBS Kids). In that show, he sounds so laid-back compared to DKC where he sounds badass and terrifying at the same time.
He also voiced Crocodylus in Babar and the Adventures of Badou.

This is the best villain that ever existed in Nintendo history
