🫢 UR REACTION IS EXACTLY HOW I FELT WHEN I DISCOVERED DECORATIVE FOILS! My Soul jumped out & had a dance party & did back flips!!!! It’s not easy to find people covering different application methods. Most use the nail glue or UV Resin, so thank u for stepping outside the box & trying ur own method, it worked better & brilliantly!🎉 Ur reaction truly made my day, I thought “Someone else gets it, THEIR FLIPPIN PURE MAGIC”! I wish I had a recorded loop of how excited u got, so anytime life gets me down, I could play it on repeat! It would be impossible to stay in a funky mood! That genuine happiness could fix the whole Universe! ❤
I already knew these worked but you did a great job demonstrating how to use them. In my opinion, the real stars are the translucent holographic (both patterned and plain) nail foils because even just putting them in clear resin makes the piece beautiful on both sides, but putting translucent colored resin on top, especially marbled translucents, tint them so beautifully. Honestly, they all work great. Don't even really need the glue, you can just wait until the resin is mostly set but still tacky, gently place it down and smooth it on, then wait for the piece to finish curing before peeling the clear plastic off. Actually, for easy shapes, you could cut it to fit the mold, or just a bit shorter leaving a bit of a frame/border around it, and not even really need to peel the clear plastic at all since you'll be clear coating/sealing it in anyway. BTW, another nice trick is using a paper embossing machine on plastic sheets (plain or holographic, clear or colored) to embed in resin. Gives a whole new look, especially if you tint/paint the embossed plastic with alcohol ink and let it completely dry first. 👍
Sky's the limit with designs n nail foils! They make sssssooooo many different kinds. I'm sure u could encapsulate the whole thing if need be. I've done it with acrylic and hard gel
I am a nail tech who just started resin crafts and this was an idea I had with my very first craft. I am so glad they work because I have tons of these foils.
I tried this experiment with nail foil. I did it differently and mine came out wrong. I didn’t know you could pull off the foil like that. You are amazing! I’m so glad I didn’t throw away the rest of my foil! Thank you for this video
These foils are so versatile and reasonably priced. This was a project with them I hadn't seen. They looked great. I love the effect doming has 😍 Tfs Steve & take care 🦉🎨👋
Smiling from ear to ear while watching this video .. I was excited as well 😆 I'm not getting much done except binge watching your videos 🙃 I'm having a great time.. thank you
Very cool. You can also put the foil on the resin in the beginning and pull it off when it has cured. I would wait until the resin is sticky but won’t move so you can press it but you won’t have to press it very hard.
OMG, I love these. I am sat with my ear plugs in watching this and I just shouted out “oh my god”, scared the husband to death he thought there was something wrong 🤣 then tutted and shook his head when I showed him, he just doesn’t understand 😂
I love the nail foils, I use them also with clay which is another media I have started to do besides resin. I can't exactly work with resin while at work (work from home) so I went to getting clay and so far have made a few pendants that I dome with UV resin (JDiction is the BEST). I have noticed that there's more styles coming out with the nail foils almost like they realized us resin makers are wanting to use them in our stuff too. Love yours though, they came out perfectly!
I'm not sure what I love more yr experiments or how u get so surprised n excited when it works 😁😁.... don't ever stop Steve we all need some fun in our lives xx
Cool! I wouldn't have guessed gilding glue works even better than the traditional nail foil glue. I do know there is a UV cured form of nail glue that works well also. It also works for sticking on powders and stickers and such. Nice video~
Steve have you ever tried to use UV nail polish molds but more importantly the the polish itself in molds. It's already colored and cures with a UV lamp. Could make some great things.
WOW is right!!! These turned out absolutely beautiful. I'm in love with the red bookmark and the ones for pendants. Such a different look at a very small cost. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
UV resin works really well too paint on a thin layer, place on nail foil press foil lightly and position it cure under uv light peel off foil and voilà x
I have butterflies nail transfers and they won't transfer. So I tried nail polish and let it dry out and still not transferring. I have to cut mine out to put them in resin. But I have to be super careful or the transfer comes of in the wet resin. I think I got duds or im doing something wrong. They don't require water that I do know, lol. Love the bookmarks. Pretty and cute at the same time ☺️. Have a good day
Hi Steve,, it's so pretty, love it🤩😍 i'm a new crafter, i've bought some nail foils, but i don't know how to transfer it to resin so your video helps me so much😁 so.. Could you tell me, do you put some transfer nail gel or maybe uv resin before transfer it? Thank you..
Great video. I’ve been using foils for years, both in rock painting and in resin. They make great backgrounds too, eg Night sky with stars and moons layered on top; or green foliage type foils with flowers on top; or for sunsets or jungle scenes in dioramas or simpler things like dragonfly wings. Foils are amazing. My next project is to use in a snow globe base.
Omgoodness, I bought some of these before a long while back but struggled to use them, but the glue is the key!!! Im digging them back out again, thanks for all the answers!
Love this. Just what I needed to see. I do nails as well so I have tons of nail foils to use among other inclusions that I use for nails. Fimo slices, glitter, just loads of stuff
I always end up binge watching these videos because the ideas are terrific. I think I will try some of my other nail art embellishments with this. The rhinestones and charms would go well in pendants as well
Hi Steve,,, I've made pendents,, but cutting the foil to fit the inside of my rectangle pendent mould and it worked nicely,, as sometimes I've noticed that it don't always peel off uniform, then it means to have to match it up a bit, I made a template of the pendent mould and the foil fitted great, but the pieces you done are perfect and realy beautiful,, just wish mine turned out that well, so I use the cut and place technique and pour in the resin. And cure with uv lamp. Very wel, done,👍
I absolutely LOVE this effect and I have a ridiculous amount of nail foils to try this with. The only "downside" I see to doing it this way is that the foil will be on the **bottom** of the piece (like if you are doing a coaster or a tray or something. I think I will do my pieces as usual, then apply the nail foil to the top of the piece after demolding, then apply a thin coat over it to seal it in. This is a fantastic idea and opens a ton of ideas! Thank you!

I also love how giggly you get whenever you mention the subscription bell! 🤩. Love it!
I love using these foils too, fun video thanks!
Love these!!! what a fantastic idea! And as a nail tech, I can say that the foil glue is the exact same stuff as the "nail art" stuff.
Love how excited and pleased you are with the nail foils. Love them, going to have to give them a go 😊
I’m a new crafter and I’m so lucky to have found your channel! I’m learning so much from you!

best of both worlds!!
I do my own nails, love foils & resin!
i really like the foil prints!
I ADORE your reaction!

You can buy them foils in A4 in arts and crafts on amazon for really cheap. If you buy them in the nail department they're much dearer.
Just received mine today but don't have anything to glue them up
Omg! I love you!! 😂 you always make me smile 😊

You can use UV resin in a thin layer to transfer those foils too :)
I like the 2 images I wish you would do that all the time
These are brillllliant love it

UV resin works really well too paint on a thin layer, place on nail foil press foil lightly and position it cure under uv light peel off foil and voilà x
Just so you know, you could also use clear fingernail polish if you don’t have the nail foil glue. But your work turned out absolutely beautiful.
How fun! Thank you!
I've been doing this for ages, it's so fun!
