  • Crowds packed a historic stadium in Forest Hills for a music festival Saturday, but residents say the music is just too loud, and as CBS2's Kristie Keleshian reports, now they're taking legal action.

      It was the site of the US Open, a tennis venue that became a concert venue. It should have never been allowed to begin with. It’s a residential neighborhood. An expensive one at that. It’s about time FH sue them.

    Maybe all these NIMBY rich residents of the Gardens can get together and pool their money and invent a time machine to go back to 1913 when the Gardens sold this plot of land to the Forest Hills Tennis Club. These concerts are summer only, and 30-something days of the entire year, happening mainly on weekends and beyond adhering to noise and time rules, should be left the hell alone. The precious Gardens wouldn't even have their bougie tennis club had it not been restored and brought back to life from a literal dump that was rotting into the ground.

      @@sct4040 tell me you know nothing about this stadium or the stadium's capacity without telling me. This venue isn't even 1/4 the size of MSG, nor does it bring in mega performers. The residents weren't crying about the stadium when they hosted Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Ben Folds, Hall & Oates, or John Melloncamp, it was quite interestingly when Chance the Rapper was announced that these blatantly racist, entitled, and arrogant Gardens members started losing their fucking minds, clutching their pearls about the "hooligans" and all the "crime" it would bring. Because the stadium no longer caters to the 65 and up crowd, they want to end it all. Put the pieces together.

    • @94champs
      @94champs Год назад +1

      30-something days of the entire year is 30-something days too long. How about I blast music outside your window for a month and then tell you "It's only 1 month out of the year, brah! Like deal with it, brah!" would you like that? No? Then keep quiet.

    • @mycatvelvet
      @mycatvelvet 8 месяцев назад

      I'll take that deal! Now I just need a time machine to go back to 1913. Not sure how big this stadium is but Fenway Park was built in 1912 I believe. Still doing fine. Old stadiums have a lot of character like Fenway, Wrigley, etc.
