Character customization!!!!!! Randomly generated is not immersive. I want to create ME so that I’m more careful with choices and staying alive. Just being actually invested in my character really.
More attachments for guns. Sucks that I have a .357 rifle but no scope and all I can add is a silencer. Need to be able to add more attachments like scopes, flashlights, range finder, under barrel grips, stocks, mag sizes, and paint schemes.

Its funny that I play on the regular level yet the spawns around my base safety zone is flooded with like 4 Juggernauts, 6 ferals, 8 bloaters, 7 screamers and 5 hordes.

It’s also funny that you’re in a farmland area yet there’s a NY city population of zombies. I would love to decrease the numbers but have sliders that increase their deadliness. Make them like 28 days later infected. Not many around but you don’t even want to encounter one.
I want the ability to base up anywhere you want. Have upgrades be more custom to each different base you choose as opposed to the same basic linear base upgrade we have now regardless of where you go. I want those massive base building improvements above all.
Same here. Give me a temp base & permanent base. Temp base upgrades can be taken down & Perm base upgrades can’t. All with realistic build & takedown times. We should be able to fortify any building we can enter if it’s stable. If not we should be able to fix it.

I’m ready for it. State of Decay 2 was definitely a prodigy and not a lot of people were able to experience it
I got on in 2020 and was blown away. Even the updates since then are lit

@@lordcerrousVI do not think it is that bad. But it could have been much better. especially for such a game they should have focused more on multiplayer. The game could have worked so great as a service game or mmo like as GTA online or project zomboid and spend longelivety. I really wonder why such a brand was never considered as a game of a service and instead they came up with arcane studios making one. While SOD is such a perfect brand to make an awesome social hardcore survival multiplayer out of it.
Love the game but my experience was massively flawed.. I haven't played it for a while but it put me off.
I just can't wait for sod3 to have a relationship system. I hope it will make us more attached to the characters and even the community. Just to be able to see in moodlets if say one of your characters done like another and they die. Instead of the typical negative moodlet, it may be a positive if they were fighting for leadership, and so on.
For me, it's the building of the community and expanding the base. A flaw with Sod2 was the premade bases you have with some customization. Now skills I wish there were more skills to play with as this can have a lot of impact on gameplay. Also, I Wish we have an open world for Sod3.

Maybe 2025 is the year they release the third game and 2027 is when the game is polished and ready to be truly experienced.

@@luccacareem4991 they will release a game that’s not finished. It will be playable but contain a lot of bugs and the story and gameplay won’t be fleshed out. It will take a couple years of ironing out the bugs and getting a better identity of itself.

@@niahcyan5 like i said. this game will be a hard fail... 100% agree with you... because nearly every studio release a pre alpha game as finished... my guess: 10000 bugs/glitches. less content than sod-2 and multiplayer will not work. i would bet all of my money on that.... because who the f is making a trailer for a game where is 0 work done... a trailer before they starting to work on a game? it will fail so big...

aka pre alpha... and waiting another 3,4 years to be a 1.0 version that still have 1000 bugs/glitches... less content than sod-2... and multiplayer errors...
being able to make a base out of any building/location would be such a big upgrade. Also hoping they do include the undead animals too

i wanna be able to home down in a place of my liking, like i would strive to have a trailer park as a home and for more survivors, the ability to enlist more than one survivor for your travels, to have survivors actually live in homes, like, if you are driving somewhere, you can find people living in homes, to be able to join a group/enclave, and more choices for clothing
I'm most wanting for improvement regarding survivors as well in these areas. Though I would say more of a system that makes outsider survivors more dynamic would be a big improvement as well as what literally every one has said at least once, an exponential increase to populace capacity.

As always great video buddy ...My absolute dream game would be SOD style apocalypse game but toss in some base building aspects from games like 7days to die or arc . Those base building games keep me ammused for hours upon hours trying to see what i can build . But keep everything else the same about SOD
it will be cool if they do a big upgarde the sandbox side with base management and better bulding with like micromanagement and more ...
If this game takes until 2027, im gone. SOD2 has only so much replayability, even with the constant updates that are slowly starting to lose my interest. After playing Days Gone finally, I kinda don’t really care to play State of Decay anymore at this point. I’d rather have a sequel to days gone than SOD…

Days Gone and State of Decay 2 aren't even comparable. They are two very different types of games. It's Apples to oranges.
i wasn't REALLY comparing them. aside from being "zombie" games, with multiple communities and lone survivors, looting and crafting, there's not much they share. But its close enough in the zombie genre that if i had to chose a sequel for one of them, it'd be an easy decision.@@werejustgaming

i want SoD3 to be better than days gone because we're not getting a sequel but i already know it's gonna be just another iterative copy paste, a la any studio xbox lay their hands on recently apart from Ninja Theory, the fact that they're gonna make us wait this long for it is just sad

Started playing this game for the first time a couple days ago , and man I have been missing out for a long long time , I’m glad that I can enjoy this game for a while until the 3rd one

What i hate about state of decay games is, during sieges, zombies just waltz in your door, i mean cant someone lock the damn dooor? I got the idea that siege should work as zombie defense, not an all out battle inside your base immediatelyy, all those base fortificayion for zombies just to walk in your doors.
also, sieges and hords just automattically know your location, and if you look on the map, they even go around buildings to circle back to the route to your base..
it's frustrating these Zeds.

Even if they keep presets for building, I really hope you can make a base anywhere you want rather than a set 6 based at most on each map
My wish list for SoD3:
- lack of resources actually mattering.
- more members of your community loading at the same time and ability to put them at your outposts
- more customisation to the base and more variety for it.
- a couple of more zombie types.
- an actual storyline. Maybe for certain characters maybe for certain maps or maybe as a separate gamemode.
- a map based in a city with skyscrapers like SoD1. Just let us visit the first floors c’mon.
State of decay is already an amazing and unique franchise. SoD2 was so good but I barely launch it anymore because I already did almost everything. Looking forward to SoD3,
While I have zero experience on making games and I get it games are much more complicated than they have ever been the whole releasing a trailer just to release it is just ridiculous. What the hell is the point of putting an announcement trailer in 2020 if the game is not even going to come out till almost a decade later. It’s just incredibly disappointing the way games are going where it takes 6+ years for a sequel.
Are you sure about your first statement because apparently someone who works at undead labs said the exact opposite. They said the trailer was pumped out BEFORE they had even got to the drawing board and it was just a vague idea.
Don't forget that Undead Labs are still adding to SoD2 with patches and expansions to this day!
Hey Sunny it's been a while!
I hope they make the survivors have more personality and talk more between each other. The costumizing character section should be much bigger and with many more faces, voices, hair, body types etc. For the multiplayer I have hope that when playing with friends we will all be able to at least select if we wanna allow friends to change things in our base or making a whole different system all together that make multiplayer much better, It sucks that the visitor player can't have access to a lot of stuff in the base and is only there to help instead of playing together as a coop should be.
I highly suspect that SoD3 will have a full-fledged base building system (similar to Fallout 4/76) as well as a more in-depth vehicle customization system. It seems a natural evolution, as the entire premise of this series has always been about resource gathering. I also suspect a more dynamic multiplayer (coop) system, where all players work together, building bases and sharing inventory.
I don’t think base building will be anything like fallout due to how the games are set up since the game has a certain formula.
I kinda like not having to build bases piece by piece. That can become a massive time sink, and these games are always pulling you in so many directions as is. It would be cool if the option was there for those who want that, but hopefully players can still re-purpose pre-existing structures too.
Love the other ideas though.

i hope they have a linar story mode and an open world game mode. And i hope that the camera movements becomes much more grouded like days gone. Also if there is mulitpayer focus i need splitcreen.

I jusy started playing this game on Series X two days ago. This game is, extremely addicting. I am excited for Stalker II, Metro 4/2035, Space Marine II and State of Decay III. Most of the come in 2024. I did notice they are constantly updating State of Decay II. I am waiting for my friend to play co-op just not sure how to invite.
I actually hope they take their time with this and give us a well-polished game

I don’t know man. Do you remember how long it took for SOD 2 to come out? And that was a regular game. SOD 3 will be online/ and i asume open World this is extremely massive and Undead Labs is extremely small, yeah even with the Microsoft purchase Undead labs is not a big developer. So 2027 to me sounds about right! If I were to guess I would t say that the game will come out late 2025, or mid 2026.

I'll admit I'm new to SoD and I love everything about it. Just hope toy get to create a character next time and it's open world with more areas to explore and unlock. The whole game should be open world automaticly. If your friends have issues with players or npcs them your party will etc. If you play without your friends they'll be left behind and you'll have to meet up etc. Maybe it's already like that idk. Controls could be a little tighter cause I'm used to shoulder switching like Recon and Division but the game play is still amazing. Bigger world , more friends, more threats , more missions. If you kill off players you get a bad reputation and both players and npcs come for you. You die , you go back to the sancuary with nothing. Surely story mode will have your characters die off still but man this SoD has so much exciting potential ! Cant wait for SoD3

I remember when state of decay first came out. We all thought it was finna be a dayz on console
2027 sounds more like a worst case time fram then an actual time frame, and only coming from one person then that may even take in accounts of updates after the game drops. I know since the trailer dropped I can't wait to see if they actually added the missing element of wild life (I mean both games and none even dead at the side of the road). I mean old Fallout has had that since the very first one, and has made every survival apocalypse type game seem half done ever since.

There's a hole in your theory that there in planning stage that's been almost three or four years ago but research would show and dictate that people inside of game development studios usually bump heads and sometimes people are released from their contract early which means they have to restart from a certain point or scrap the whole production I think 2027 is very reasonable considering where they are currently 💯

The undead should have a smell system like how if you make noise near zeds they hear you them only having bad sight and okay sound is just too easy I want them all to have the same senses as ferals and upgrade ferals to be very hunter like and actively seek out the player and also as someone who can’t afford internet like that I really hope multiplayer isn’t part of the base game and I can play single player like in gta without internet

Yeah, I wouldn’t expect to see state of decay 3 release date between late 2024 or sometime 2025 and the latest I possibly think would be 2026 but it will be early 2026 but my biggest thing about the state of decay three is what other can make the story about because I personally think that they should make it more about building a massive world like twice as massive world very open world like a massive map and have NPC factions in game and you are trying to build a proper community like a proper city like rebuilding what is loss because again they’ve done it for nearly 2 games about trying to build survivor trying to survive, but it makes no sense for decay to still be zombie, survival apocalypse game and being is if you ever play the first game as well as the DLC’s, you realize is that the outbreak has been around for a long time now like for a few years by the second game, comes around it’s already been 10 years since the outbreak maybe a little less of the virus but again you also have to factor in that their zombies they’re still rotting flesh so, even if the world population was affected most of the first turn zombies with slowly start dying due to it being zombies flesh that’s rotting so again by the time the game comes out I think they should focus more on building, an actual civilization and have factions that you have to compete for resources and stuff and have like faction wars instead of just focusing purely on zombies because again and it’s kind of been built that way too in the first and in the second game is kind of been building up to this kind of thing in my opinion because the first game was about a group of survivors trying to fucking survive the second game was about you trying to build a community of survivors and actually trying to build something something you know that’s my biggest thing I hope it does make it more about actually trying to build a civilization instead of just trying to we build another community in my opinion, what they could do is have a two thing based operations where you have your actual community where you’re in charge of defending and then the population grows and they give resources out and stuff to you and you have like an outpost that is protected that where you are like the defenders and you have about 30 or 40 people you can control at once that has defend the outpost or the wall that’s called the wall and I think that will be a very interesting concept behind it because again virus would’ve stopped affecting a lot of the first born zombies because again they’re still flesh. A lot of it would’ve died even if it mutated, the problem is flesh can only last for so long before it rots so yeah and thank you for reading this and sorry about spelling

Given the direction of VR gaming if they wait too late then they're gonna be releasing a *_"Glorified dinosaur"_* Let alone if the game does not have VR capability then they're going to be literally *_"short selling"_* themselves. (Pun intended) ... For that matter if the existing versions were converted into (Playable in) VR, that would boost a lot of gameplay reloads!

Really wish for weapons to have damage numbers, as well customization that provides/changes like accuracy, recoil, sound suppresssion radius (silencer versions, regardless of caliber unlike 2nd one.) And etc.

people saying i want this or that.. what the game needs is a co-op where a couple can share ownership of a world instead of only joining someone and not being able to do much... and making your own person while also letting you swap to pre made squads.. then should focus on asking community about possible quality of life improvements and focussing on what the majority of community 'politely' asks for, mutal respect is the way to go including respecting the devs even if the game doesn't contain a feature you specifically want.
