I think its the best Disney villian backstory so far. It explains everything why she turned evil as age went by & how she ruled House of De Vil during 90s
And what about why she wanted to kill the dogs in 101 dalmations? and in the original movie she didnt even know what dalmations were. Asking Anita why they had spots. So its a good back story for how she became Cruella and how she got her empire, but explains nothing about her lunacy in 101 dalmations.
Can we just all admire that John (the butler) is an amazing human being with a heart of gold? He tries to get Astella out of the lion's den so to speak when he realizes who she is in the beginning of the movie. And he also saves her life twice and helps her bring down the baroness. He's legit one of my favorite characters because of his quiet heroism. John is like the quiet chivalrous man who holds open doors, helps out the elderly and is generally kind when no one else is looking.
As evil she thinks she is... Her realself is actually very loving and caring person who has a very big heart and by doing her step mum justice and actually embracing her new family.... She is someone who is Loved & Cared for by her new family and is happy.... She is Cruella who's Brilliant, Bad and a Little bit Mad.... She is a very Creative Mad Scientist who gave a new Life into the fashion industry, She's a Genius!!!!💋💋💋💋
@@nemi-mout1874 Yea and she had half good side from her Dad and half evil from her Mom. so she just embraced her wicked side since it was better for her.
Cruella can be eccentric and sadistic at same time but she's still a human keeping a place in her heart for the one person she always loves - Catherine, her adoptive mother
For those of you who are confused about how Estella is "dead" and Cruella is alive, what Cruella meant was that she is no longer and orphan that works with a pack of thieves and that she is now a villain/fashion designer.
That is what though was the only problem her. It does explain why should should start to kill anything. If she has killed her biological mother and the dog you could argue she felt hate for both of them, but she didn't. She put her mother in prison but that for the mother who cared her.
No wonder Cruella despised dalmatian dogs so much. It's interesting to see how she met her two crime fellows at such a young age. Though I found it odd how it looked like if Jasper changed skin colour when he grew up.
I like the movie, but it still doesn’t answer the question of why Cruella Devil needed a background origin story of her own. The plot of the story is a big hit & miss. I think they did an outstanding job on the costumes designs. Emma looked great.
NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY CRUELLA DEVILLE WAS SO MESSED UP IN THE HEAD AND WHY SHE CAME TO HATE DALMATIAN DOGS IN THE FIRST PLACE EVERYTHING MAKES SO MUCH SENSE EVEN THOUGH SHE'S A VILLAIN I HONESTLY CAN'T BLAME HER FOR A LOT OF THE CRAZY THINGS SHE'S DONE BECAUSE SHE'S WENT THROUGH SO MUCH CRAZY EVILNESS WOOOOOOOOOW 🤯🤯🤯
I feel sorry for Cruella, she was abandoned by her mom then gets adopted by a woman who truly loved and cared for her but gets killed by a group of vicious dalmations. Then she gets a job where she is undermined. Not to mention she is rejected by society and was bullied as a child when she went a ptivate school all because she was different, all because of her two half hair colour. Finally she met a sociopathic woman who puts her down while she works at her industry and in the end that same sociopathic woman turns out to be her bio mom who then tries to kill her by pushing her over a balcony which she nearly died. All of that is just so harsh to go through 😢
Yea I have to say.. The whole movie was epic.. And I still watch the movie even if it came out months ago.. It all was shocking when Cruella was Baronesses daughter, but the end credits scene was so amazing it gave me chills. The part where Roger sang his new song and the most SHOCKING PART was Cruella giving the Dalmatians to Anita and Roger! See I cant wait for Cruella 2 because I know Baroness is going to escape from jail.. I just feel like she will.
This is one of my favorite movies. She was never a sociopath she was a physio path... She was simply pushed to fair... She's only doing exactly what her sociopathic mother was doing to her just a better job of it....
Now we know the backstory of Cruella. Well done with this movie recap. Can you please do a recap on Jungle Cruise? I'm so glad Cruella survived that push by her real mother. Proof that her mother killed her adopted mother and the Baroness gets arrested for killing Cruella. But at the end of the movie Cruella is still alive. Here comes another story ready to begin. :)
She gets arrested bc she has killed ESTELLA. So that finally CRUELLA can fully arise to kill the Dalmatians and becoming the irredeemable villain of them all.
This has to be one of my favourite movies,The ambition in Estella, her talent, her cleverness. I just cant put it into words but she really nailed that sweet revenge 🤍🖤
I'm ok with this not being the same Cruella from the animated and other live action films. While I will always love a classic, black and white disney villain, I like the change in direction they took with her here.
Yellow ring: "Cruella De Vil. You have the ability to instill great fear. Welcome to the Sinestro Core. Cruella: "Yellow? How tacky. If it's not Black or while, I don't want it." White Lantern Core: "She is not our taste." Black Lantern Core: "Fine... this part will be fun." Cruella: 💀
Reminds me of my daughter, a force of nature that I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side off. Funny thing my grand daughter is her clone, a real strong determined character, fearless.
Movie release: Cameron Boyce's birthday: May 28th One of the trailer is Queen of Mean: A reference to Descendants 3, Cameron Boyce's last appearance as the last character he plays Carlos De Vil son of Cruella
I did enjoy this movie, it was so great. Disney make this character good instead of evil. If they come out with a second movie I will glad to see it, this Cruella is more beautiful and had a spark so talented Emma.
Technically, the title of this video is incorrect. The Baroness didn't abandon her daughter, she tried to have her daughter killed the moment she was born. What's more is that the Baroness was unaware the her servant/butler saved the child by giving her to one of the maids, where the aforementioned maid raised her as her daughter.
That lil girl is beautiful she is a real blessing that's a beautiful kid apparently the mother has some serious psychological problems with herself not with her daughter but oh well, some people are too stupid to appreciate the beautiful people in this world including the beautiful things in life life goes on
Now I know why Cruella hates the dalmatians and wanted to turn them into coats. They were the once who killed her mother without a reason and her rage caused her to be obsessed of Black Spot designs on the dalmatians. I mean this was the dalmatians fault. They were the true antagonist. But I think this version of Cruella is more of an Anti-hero and Anti-Villain persona I think. Similar to the Malificent.
I hadn't watched this movie, but recently I did see a short clip of her talking to someone off screen. She talks about who she really is at that point in her self discovery, and that she loves whoever it was off screen. Turns out she was at the fountain talking to her foster mother, and from this video I now know she was dead. That particular video gave me goosebumps, and now I still have goosebumps, but also understand the context. Brilliant.
Hades we know the story Zeus mocked him and gave him the underworld to rule despite him wanting to get the olyimp scar and mufasa mufasa before mocked him and their father prefered always mufasa
*Unpopular opinion:* This film works so much better if you treat it like a reimagining (like Maleficent), instead of trying to force it into being a prequel. Cruella's character is too different; she's not the villain (in the end she does the right thing, and no puppies die), and the dognapping even happens in the film. It honestly seems like she hit a low throughout the movie but by the end she's recovered and grown into a better person. Forcing it to be a prequel erases the entire point of the film, of her grappling with her identity after discovering her mother's narcissism and coming to an equilibrium by both accepting it in herself and controlling it in order to keep her adoptive family. With this in mind I absolutely love this film! It's one of the best Disney has made in years. Edit: Also Horace and Jasper are the biggest dog people in cinema in this version. They literally spend the entire time film adopting and kissing dogs. Get out of here trying to convince me they'd ever kill one when they almost abandoned Cruella over organizing an illegal concert.
This was honestly not bad. I know people don’t really praise the movie that much but I think it’s a lot better than most of the live actions they have done and a solid movie on its own.
i dont feel like cruella is evil really, she is just tryna find her place in the world, and of course she waants revenge, the baroness killed her mother
Thank you for this fantastic synopsis! I never saw it but assumed it was one fun campy scene after another. It's really dark, much more so than I expected.

There's some interesting similarities to Little Rascals and a Shirley Temple movie where she hides in a food cart with a little dog, but the name escapes me. There's also a 'orphaned child' theme with all of these.
Great video. Now, I really want to see the movie. The one thing I don't understand is how she came to inherit the Baroness' fortune. If the Baroness pushed Estella over the balcony, why would she then name her as heir to her estate? And if Estella didn't even know she was the Baroness' daughter, how could she have a will that entitles her to the Baroness' fortune when the Baroness isn't even dead (she's just in jail).
well, i think they try to put it as because stella was discovered to be the baroness biological daughter -and the adoption by the maid was ilegal or never was put on paper- then she is her heir and if stella named cruella her own heir then cruella inherits every claim stella had... but that line of thought is absurd because the baroness is not dead just in jail and jailed people retain their assets unless a judge takes them away from being product of illegal activities.
She suggested that her and her daughter run her company together but then goes and pushes her daughter off a cliff why not just go along with your idea stupid woman instead of murdering your own child and losing everything and going to prison!
I think its the best Disney villian backstory so far. It explains everything why she turned evil as age went by & how she ruled House of De Vil during 90s
wtf? so many fucking contradictions. nvm ur not worth it

I love him and Artie too. Both pretty cool characters but Artie was iconic 👌

The original movies will have to be remade. Watching them now with the prequel in place they no longer make sense as Cruella has changed.
Its true.. She isn't all bad but she has a brilliant mind.
Ya
I do believe she had a darkside like her bio mom and let it envelope her (like her bio mom/the baroness probably did).

Her mother is the type that's born evil.
That was excellent. It turns cruella into the hero. I love it when good wins over evil.
The Dalmatians that killed her adoptive mother I think that's why she then later comes to hate them
