- We made it to NEW YORK and are having so much fun! We went dumpster diving at some retail shops and found some great donatable items and food. I love that we have found so much food on this trip - it is really helpful in saving money and in reducing the amount of food that ends up in our landfills. The eggs were delicious and we've already eaten most of the cinnamon bagels lol

From college: Eggs Retch
Saute onion. Slice potatoes and cook, I add a bit of water and cover for the steam to cook the potatoes. When cooked add eggs beaten with a bit of milk. Stir in for scrambled eggs. You can cover to throughly cook the egg. I like a bit of garlic powder. Husband uses pepper.

Yay 😀 i have gotten Little Caesars before and domino’s during very cold 🥶 temperatures and when they leave they put them on top and their still hot !!! Never gotten sick, knock on wood. I love 💗 that bread 🥖 from Little Caesars!!! Judy would drive and I would look to see what was available. It was absolutely INSANE that amount of pizzas 🍕 they throw away !!! Little Caesars!! Can’t wait for colder temperatures and cold 🥶 food
Hi Kelly & Alex..thxs again for taking us your divings,fines on your anniversary we've been to an Airbnb house and shared with other couples .but,having your own private place is better.have fun in that cute Airbnb house.
I was watching another diving channel & their neighbors were downsizing & sent over a box of VHS tapes saying they could sell them if they wanted. Feeling that wasn't fair she said she'd do consignment & split the profit with her & delivered hundreds of dollars to her after they all sold. The star was a VHS of the Nightmare Before Christmas with the original Touchstone Animation on the box, the division Disney made thinking it was too scary for a Disney mark but later changed it to Disney when the film was a huge success.

Husband and I started using Air bnbs about ten years ago rather than hotels... mostly because the majority accept pets and if our dogs cant go..we dont (we do have people come in and tend our ducks and chickens..lol) We have a couple that we use at least once a year...love the place so much, one in TN, one in NC...I tell people all the time, it is cheaper and way nicer... We are now working at turning some of our rental properties into air bnbs also ...simply due to our area...(sarasota)...and seeing so many has helped decorate decisions

Hardboiling eggs makes a good travel and hiking snack. On road trips we used to hardboil a dozen or more eggs and snack on them, prevents snacking on junk food.
I usually take boiled eggs while traveling

I get so upset when I see all that dog food waste especially when the “co’s” and the “smart’s” for pets never let anyone check out without soliciting a donation to “save animal lives”…….😡🙄😤
They could do so much good if they just donated all the kibble that they slash and destroy on a daily basis! I never give the stores a donation but I do save what I can that they carelessly discard and I make the donations for them! 🤦🏻♀️🤯

I've seen ppl at food shelters ask for dog or cat food a lot. Everything is sooo expensive, *if* only one employee could just bag it & call someone to pick it up outside on the downlow.🤞🤞 Elderly have pets for companionship & would appreciate any donations.
Sometimes it's recalled things that are destroyed. Or items with mold in them. I would never feed my babies loose food from anywhere.
Plus wouldn’t they get critters in their dumpster.
@@grammiecopper9024 I used to do that when I worked at PetSmart. One tear in the bag, it gets written off. I'd tape it and bring it to a shelter. Plus, they had coupons "buy X and get Y free" and most people didn't want Y so I would convince them to use the coupons and donate the rest. My manager hated it, but he was a thief so who cares lol
I work at Wal-Mart and they don't throw anything away in my town. It's either donated to The Humane Society, a place called Loafs and Fishers that's a battered women's shelter, other produce and meat food that starts going bad gets sold to neighborhood pig farms .

So great to be able to save food from the dumpster. We got eggs a couple times. They were perfect for hard boiled eggs. Couple years back, we got quite a few pumpkins. We gave several away. We've had lots of fruit and vegetables that we fed to the chickens, ducks and geese we take care of. Also lots that we are ourselves. My favorite food find was the spiral hams. I’m not sure where your path is taking you after Buffalo, but Albany NY is one of the neatest areas for free food pantries, some of them are refrigerators that are painted beautifully. Also, it’s not free, but if in Albany you would have to try Cheesecake Machismos, the cheesecake is so good that they typically sell out within a few hours after opening. We don’t live there but our son does, such a neat area to visit! Also if you come across Wegmans they donate all of their food that they take off the shelf to local food banks, I think many of our grocery stores in the state do, but I know for sure Wegmans does. I do like the free food banks however because I think many people are finding things tight these days, and some may find it difficult to ask for help. Thank you so much for all that you guys do, such a blessing to so many!

Hello so glad you visit our beautiful city I was born and raised here in Buffalo, New York and yes buffalo wings were invented right here in Buffalo New York at anchor bar the original place is right here on Main Street ..... We have many old houses and buildings in our city which makes it ideal for movie settings several big movies have been done here in our city.... Houses that are more than 100 years old I think the oldest one we have in our city was built in the 1700s....BTW ... We are also home of beef on weck so try some as well.... With a side of fries..... We also are close to the Canadian border with the Peace bridge that takes you from Buffalo, N Y. to Fort Erie, Canada....

I love armchair traveling with you guys! I get so upset at all that food waste! I work in the nurse’s office in the schools in my town and I see a lot of families that are hungry. It’s so sad😢

Came to our neck of the woods. Welcome! As a WNYer I am glad you enjoyed the area but know that Anchor bar wings are the not the best in the area only tourists eat them. Duffs wings are way better, Franks red hot sauce is the best and all any of us local people eat on our wings. Not anchor sauce. I recommend getting some Franks red hot chicken wing sauce and taking home with you or getting the regular hot sauce and add melted butter and minced garlic then toss wings in it. Dip them in Rooties blue cheese not ranch. Also try Bison French onion chip dip it’s the best dip. :)
you could take some of those eggs and boil them over your next campfire. hard boiled eggs are delicious

There is much better coffee in the Buffalo area... skip Tim Horton's you can get that anywhere. A couple "OverWinter Coffee" locations in Buffalo -Elmwood Ave, Genesee St; Caffe Aroma- Elmwood Ave; Three Stories Coffee- Elmwood Ave; Spot Coffee - several locations - Elmwood, Main St. Williamsville, Transit, Hertel Ave; Remedy House- Rhode Island St; Underground Coffee- Seneca St; The list goes on and in the surrounding suburbs you will find loads of them. Just do a search for Coffee Cafes near Buffalo....you will not be disappointed! Would love to dumpster dive and travel like you two are doing. Have a great time... Are you heading to the Rochester, NY area? We also have great coffee, dumpsters, great places to explore.

wow you guys were up in my neck of the woods I live 20 minutes north of Lake george. I'm sure you have made it to Maine by now. Sorry you are seeing the leaves when they are past peak. last weekend they were beautiful up here. Sorry about the campgrounds most of them close Columbus weekend. We know of a few other spots that are free and not listed anywhere but they are filled with hunters right now. It looks like you guys are having a fun trip, I can't wait to see your next video.
