Well honestly I hate it and it looks ugly tbh. I’m not sure how much of a help it really is either. Especially that I live in Miami… I also don’t think it helps with Performance at all if it did, then all the M cars would have it as well but they don’t so I just choose Performance over half a gallon of gas or whatever it helps with. Just personal preference.
Living in utah it helps a ton with heating up. It helps with mpgs at highway speeds. if that aint you, then deleting makes no difference!@@thebettersweetlyfe7060
@@M40iGarage if someone can show me the actual differences and benefits of it then I’ll think about regretting my decision, until then im loving how it looks! 😍
Well I haven’t removed them yet but I got the check engine light and found out it was the kidney grill and this the P05B0 I’m definitely gonna remove it and it looks way cleaner
Why would you disable the grille? It helps the car heat up in the winter and saves gas. It's there for a reason.

@@thebettersweetlyfe7060im with you on this one. I doubt the active kidney grill does anything

@@thebettersweetlyfe7060 for real man!! Just did it with my x3 m40i. Cut it right out haha
i believe the bm3 app also removes the check engine light for the grills when you delete them. car looks so much better without the active grills.
Correct, it does. But for those that don’t have BM3 they can do this
@@thebettersweetlyfe7060 is it the removing the black piece from the motor of the grill that doesn’t cause the check engine light ?
@@kingdomkon4906 I believe it is. Gotta leave the active grille motor hooked up

Multi Tool and a screw driver ftw with mine

@@RobertInoa-t3f did you turn the car on with it disconnected? You could just delete codes
Any updated ? Has any light popped up ? Does it actually work
Yes it does. No light at all
Thank you, I’m definitely going to do it
@@ernestogonzalez3969 cool! Let me know if it works for you too!
I’m going to do that, if you really get rid of the check engine light.
@@ernestogonzalez3969Any update, does it work for you? I’m about to the same. The check engine light gets on my nerve.
Update? Has the engine light turned on? Going to be trying this over the weekend
No it hasn’t, go for it! Let us know if it also works for you!
@@thebettersweetlyfe7060 appreciate the response 🙏🏼 will do
@@germanb2790 anytime!
Do you know if this is the same for 2021?
Yes, it should work the same way as long as you have the motor in the same location. But I haven’t tried it myself.
😂👍👍
