I just finished the course through Booming Bookkeeping, I paid $47 for the basic class and an additional $47 for VIP where I could listen to questions being asked, to ask questions it was an additional $97 so I just stayed with the additional $47. Then for his "mentorship program" that did include alot, it was 5K payable with a deposit of $497 plus one payment of $4997 or the deposit and 3 payments of $1997.

Intuit has classes for free. They are widely known and offer certification for less than 200.00, for the certification for bookkeepers, this is not Proadvisor, yes I am one too. These other places might be ok, but I have never heard of them and I work at an accounting firm with over 60 businesses in just my department. I asked my boss and owner they said they would not hire from any of those pass-by-night companies, you really need a major company like Intuit for certification.

Awesome information. I just got informed that I'm being promoted from a truck driver to an office manager/ bookkeeper position because I mentioned I had a degree in business, but I haven't looked at accounting since the late 90s. And back then we didn't even have quick books. I learned everything with the text books so I need to brush up. But you already have me thinking I can take this position for a while. Get really confident, and then strike out on my own.

Hi Morgan. I’ve recently started following your channel, and I am loving everything that you teach and all of the insight that you give. As somebody who just finished the keyboard rich program through Bill Von Fummetti, which is a small piece of the booming bookkeeping business, I thought I would let you know that his mentorship program the booming bookkeeping business is actually $5000 now. To be more specific $4997. Or if you pay it in three payments, it’s $1997 in three payments so it cost $1000 more for making payments. I don’t know if his mentorship program is different than just an offering of a regular program but just wanted to give you that insight that his $2000 priceis not accurate anymore.

Hey! If you are wanting to learn bookkeeping for your own small business, Morgan recommends Bookkeeper Launch. (sk293.isrefer.com/go/BLFAQ/ML82/)
Bookkeeper Launch is VERY thorough and starts at the beginning to teach you all about bookkeeping, debits/credits, accounting rules, etc. They give you a QBO subscription to practice on & hands-on experience. They have a very active, helpful community--along with email support for when you run into issues. It will go over how to start a bookkeeping business, but you can just skip that part.

      Hi Eileen!
It is possible to shift into a bookkeeping career without prior accounting experience, and you don't need any official certifications or training to be a bookkeeper.
Morgan created a great playlist for getting started in bookkeeping, which can help answer your questions on starting without experience and what you would need to do first: ruclips.net/video/2tZOoXoZC_w/видео.html
Bookkeeper Business Coach will help you get your business up and running, navigate QuickBooks, and start marketing for your first clients (and onboard them). It's a great place to begin. finepoints.newzenler.com/courses/bookkeeper-business-coach
Morgan also recommends getting the free QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification. The only other thing you need is to be willing to learn and grow in your bookkeeping skills! ruclips.net/video/H90PyiBJ8Kw/видео.html
We hope that helps answer your question. :)

Hey there. 🙂 I enjoy your videos, they have been helpful. I have a question for you. I am wanting to do freelance bookkeeping and I'm not expecting to become rich quick with an easy job, I honestly would be happy just making 30k - 40k. We suddenly feel called to move to a run down town with hardly anything in it. I am curious how this may affect my plans. I can see meeting with clients is necessary, but how likely do you think someone can succeed by moving to a small town and primarily meeting clients outside of said town, and primarily through things like Zoom? What about clients out of state? I overthink a lot and have a lot to be nervous about all the sudden, so I appreciate any comments. 😅

Do you see a need for a CPA license?

Hi! You do not need a CPA license in order to be a bookkeeper. If you are wanting to help clients file their taxes, then getting your CPA license may be an option for you.

I apologize if this is offensive. Do you received financial reimbursement from you advertisement of Bookkeeper Launch? The information you provide is invaluable but I feel this should be made public.
