    I'm very pleasantly surprised- it's a premium economy product that actually looks premium! The cabin and seat look great and the main meal and its presentation is definitely a big step up from regular economy. The breakfast looked a little disappointing but I'd definitely consider flying on Emirates premium economy as a result of watching your video. Thanks for uploading this one!

    Been flying Emirates for 15 years (out of 33 years of flying) and can confidently say that Emirates, Etihad and Qatar have become the gold standard for innovation in aviation. They didn’t invent flying, but are perfecting it. They’re definitely worth the extra airfare across all cabins. Let’s see if the Indian airlines can follow Emirates’ example going forward. Exciting times ahead.

      @Travelsbydreamer  Год назад

      Yeah sure so, legroom wise they’re at 38 inches of pitch which is on standard with premium economy, up typically around 6 inches from the economy seats which makes a big difference. Recline wise, you’ll notice a big difference also vs economy with far more recline in the seats, the base of the seat also comes up to form a bit of a cradle type position for sleeping also. All in all, a big move up from economy, nice to have the additional seat width also.

      Tricky decision but for me, it would come down to price a little as to which one might be more cost effective at the time of booking. Qatar sadly still don’t do a premium economy so still quite a gap cost and experience wise with them whether you sit in economy for 20+ hours or enjoy business etc. Singapore are just so strong but for me, cost would dictate a little as the pricing between the airlines can often range significantly…

    Nice video as usual. Thank you! I must disagree with you though; You say there are other better PE products out there. This is not true. Emirates PE class IS the best one out there, considering the food standard, the seat with its 40 inch pitch (38 on most other PE products) and 19.5 inch width, the position of the cabin in the front section and the general service levels. The only other PE product that comes close is Air New Zealand (very good).
    For premium economy, BA, VS, DL, UA, AF, KL, JL, SQ are all very meh and middling. AA, LH and LX are crap. The only downside with the Emirates PE is the price point compared to the other airlines - it is quite a bit higher. If they could bring it down a bit, Emirates would hit the PE sweet spot.

      Great to get the differing of opinion. EK I found really smart but the service within EK for me is light years behind the best Asian carrier. Newer cradle style seat designs will also be seen by many as an upgrade, not just due to the extra pitch but lack of intrusion into the rear passengers space.
      Interesting point you make also on the pricing, it’s a shame to see PE getting so expensive. I’ve seen it myself lots of late.

    Did the ICE system on your flight have the ability to pair with passenger owned bluetooth headphones? The Emirates website says only some A380s have this feature, but I don't know how up to date that information is.
    I'm flying the JFK/DXB roundtrip route on premium economy soon and would like to know if I should get a 2 pin BT adaptor or not. I really don't want to use those cheap Emirates headphones.
    Edit: I just finished my trip with flights on EK204/203, and there were not any bluetooth capabilities integrated into the ICE system. Fortunately, I bought a 2 pin BT adaptor and was able to use my own wireless headphones.

      Rarely mention cost as really does depend on time of booking. This flight was £1,300 return from LHR - DXB but booked late. Booking well in advance, I wouldn’t look to pay more then £800 for this route in PE.
      Really good question on the other airlines. For me, the new JAL and Air NZ seats look far more interesting, adding way more legroom at 42 inches pitch and a significant amount more privacy. Airlines with higher service standards such as Singapore Airlines likely to be overall a better choice also. Didn’t go to heavy on it on this video but the EK crew are well behind service standards wise vs the worlds leading carriers.
