    I'm very pleasantly surprised- it's a premium economy product that actually looks premium! The cabin and seat look great and the main meal and its presentation is definitely a big step up from regular economy. The breakfast looked a little disappointing but I'd definitely consider flying on Emirates premium economy as a result of watching your video. Thanks for uploading this one!

      You’re very welcome indeed! For sure a more minimal breakfast however, this was served literally 2 hours after the main meal service to was more for show in my mind than anything else! Anyone who’s feeling a sodden desire for breakfast at 02:00 UK time I just find a little odd…

    Been flying Emirates for 15 years (out of 33 years of flying) and can confidently say that Emirates, Etihad and Qatar have become the gold standard for innovation in aviation. They didn’t invent flying, but are perfecting it. They’re definitely worth the extra airfare across all cabins. Let’s see if the Indian airlines can follow Emirates’ example going forward. Exciting times ahead.

      Spot on! They’ve brought a new level in terms of consistency and standards for sure! Qatar had and shoulders beyond the other two in many ways I think also for me. Let’s see to your point who comes through next!

      @@Travelsbydreamer Air India have appointed a former Singapore Airlines exec as their new CEO, hired 9,000 new staff and are retrofitting 107 aircraft cabins over the next 2 years. Hopefully that leads to better service and a nicer travel experience. I’ve many South Asian friends where I live in Canada who only ever fly Emirates, Qatar, Etihad or Swiss to India, so hopefully the new management can turn that around.

    Great report, thank you. My partner and I are, hopefully, flying with Emirates next year. We have upgraded to Premium Economy so your film and report were very useful indeed. I still think PE is worth that little extra and certainly not as much as Business which seems to me to be silly money unless you are extremely flushed. I also am very impressed with the fact that Emirates PE has designated toilets which you don't find on BA, but I haven't flown on other airlines so cannot compare.

  • @kuzeyboy
    @kuzeyboy 10 месяцев назад

    It would be great if you could say how much it cost - perhaps I missed that but for me, that's the primary concern! You mention that there are better premium economy -- can you tell us which airlines?

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  10 месяцев назад +1

      Rarely mention cost as really does depend on time of booking. This flight was £1,300 return from LHR - DXB but booked late. Booking well in advance, I wouldn’t look to pay more then £800 for this route in PE.
      Really good question on the other airlines. For me, the new JAL and Air NZ seats look far more interesting, adding way more legroom at 42 inches pitch and a significant amount more privacy. Airlines with higher service standards such as Singapore Airlines likely to be overall a better choice also. Didn’t go to heavy on it on this video but the EK crew are well behind service standards wise vs the worlds leading carriers.

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah sure so, legroom wise they’re at 38 inches of pitch which is on standard with premium economy, up typically around 6 inches from the economy seats which makes a big difference. Recline wise, you’ll notice a big difference also vs economy with far more recline in the seats, the base of the seat also comes up to form a bit of a cradle type position for sleeping also. All in all, a big move up from economy, nice to have the additional seat width also.

      Tricky decision but for me, it would come down to price a little as to which one might be more cost effective at the time of booking. Qatar sadly still don’t do a premium economy so still quite a gap cost and experience wise with them whether you sit in economy for 20+ hours or enjoy business etc. Singapore are just so strong but for me, cost would dictate a little as the pricing between the airlines can often range significantly…
