I'd say having an extraction plan is a good piece of advice. I always feel that if you have it, you won't need it. Also love your closing comments about not putting it off. We're all running out of "maybe next years!"

Listening/watching in my kitchen, cooking a surprise dinner for my wife who has been overseas for two weeks, and am about to run to the airport to pick her up. As a very lucky rider who has ridden on three continents with my (now) old 2011 1200GS, I really enjoyed the conversation and topics...
I know these videos/podcasts can have a hard time taking off or getting the views/listens they deserve, just wanted you to know this was very well done.
Keep it up gentlemen, all the best - thumbs up!
    Erik

Easy for me to pick who I ride with. I ride alone since I don't care to ride with other people.

Some of my friends I’d like to ride on a trip with but if they can’t or don’t want to I’ll keep my own company and meet people along the way. It always works out.
This summer the boy will get to come along, he’ll be eight and has been on the back since he was six so I figure he’ll be fine if we bring the tent, snacks and don’t go too far between spots. Him, I’ll make allowances for and with any luck he’ll do the same for me in 10-15 years when he’s on his own bike.
