I am comiing at "Beginner" bikes from the opposite direction. I am in my 60's. I started riding at 16. I sold Triumpphs in the 90's and 2000's. My Honda CB300R is my "Retriement" bike. I wanted a "goofy 250" beause they are so much fun to throw into corners. At 286cc's, I didn't overshoot by much. However, I eneded up with much more motorcyele than I expected.
Started with a suzuki gsx s750 and loved it! 6'2 240lbs so to me the weight of the bike being 470lbs wasn't noticeable! Just loved the I4 sound with a full yoshi! Loved the fact there wasn't too much technology! Lot of bike for the $$$
I'm a 6'1'' skinny guy, thinking about getting my first bike , have thought about Honda CRF300L Rally or a 500 Rebel. I want something light and simple where I can learn the fundamentals really well. My plan is to take as many courses as I can to learn as much as I can.
Keep your budget low. You’re gonna drop it, not once, but twice at least. My first proper bike was a VStrom 650 with 50,000 miles. Bought it for $1200, dropped it, crashed it, customized it. Still riding it. Get a KLR since you’re tall. The Honda is pricey
You cannot out grow a bike unless you mean getting to fat! The second you think your good please understand that you suck😂 Go to a track day to understand this, love what you ride peeps. Great video fellas.

Triumph speed 400 doesn't get a mention but a cb300r does ?
Beginner adventure bike and no mention of the cb500x/nx500?
People who buy the nx500 don't care for other brand bikes
