Beautiful sticks. Do you sell sps or coral. Yellow tangs can be a hit or miss together. Either in time they get along or will fight. Adding another tang might work but where can you get one at a fair price. Maybe add a purple tang. I decided never to add two of same spices. Good luck. Enjoy your videos.
Yes, I sell frags locally. I think every reefer should be doing so if they can, helps to subsidize some of the cost of our expensive hobby. 🤑 I originally had the 2 yellow tangs in 2 separate tanks, but they all ended up together in the same tank after I got this tank. 😔 I've always wanted a purple, maybe sometime soon. 🤞
very nice update you should try dose some iron (iron gluconate, not chelate or other forms - Aquavitro propel) to beef up your macro and boost colour to assist your nitrate dosing. By the looks of it your greens are a little washed too. You will notice all corals including lps respond to this very quickly. Dose 1/4 of the recommended dose first, then bump it up to half.
You called it 420. 😔 I thought with 3 zebrasomas it would have been fine, but I guess its supposed to be 3 different varieties of zebrasoma. The situation seems to be calmer now so maybe they have reached an understanding. 🤞
Thanks Patrick! 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it! I had a ton of fun trying to channel my inner Jake Adams. Will be giving it another go with some videos down the road, more artsy style ones. 😀
Same thing happened to me but in reverse, first time I pulled Chaeto, second time I didn't; I had to get all new macro algae after that which ended up having aiptasia (but not the first time it was introduced).
Thanks for sharing Aquatic! 🙏 I'm really hoping that won't be the case here but possibly. Oh well I already have aptasia, not sure if there are many more pests I could potentially get from New macro. 🤔
Try to put a mirror on the end of the fish trap. Try to catch one of them with the lights off don’t matter what yellow tang you catch but I would try to get the bully out l.
Very curious what your water parameters are at? I just started watching the video so I'm not sure if you said but also your lighting schedule and why do you think your corals are so brown and pale?
Never mind I just saw you posted your water parameters. My nitrates were near zero and a lot of my coral had pailed out and didn't look that great, over the last two weeks I've boosted my nitrates to about 10 parts per million and noticed results in my LPS instantly and I'm starting to notice awesome results in my SPS now as well
Haha all right I watched the rest of the video now, keep dosing those nitrates :-) also have you been dosing anything like vibrant? The reason I ask is because vibrant and other products similar to it really deplete nutrients in your system. Looking forward to your next update
@@bobgutsch3134 I appreciate you checking out the video Bob! 🙏 Funny reading this comment chain. 🤣 Not using vibrant. Nitrates just seem to get used up quick in the tank. Yes I will maintain the nitrate dosing moving forward. If it continues to be used up at this rate I will probably hook it up to the doser. Thanks again! 👍
Thank you Leon. 🙏 I'll keep up with the nitrate dosing. Surprised at how quickly nitrates disappear in a bare bottom? Or maybe it was after I added a skimmer in January. 🤔 Thanks again. 👍
Sorry for the late response Shawn. I don’t normally test my mg in the reef crystals salt, but a batch I tested 3 years ago was giving me readings in the low 1300’s based on the salifert mg test kit. I understand that esv bionic 2 part contains mg in the calcium component, and my calcium tests pretty high as well. That is probably where the mg has built up. Plus I was dosing mg for awhile 1+ years ago cause I was really concerned with mg being too low. Thank you for checking out the video and your question. 🙏🏼
Unbelievable tank bro 👏🏽 before you put your parameters up I knew you would have very low nitrate due to the pastel pale looking acros. Keep it going man, definitely a subscribe
Sorry for the late response bro! 🙏 Thanks for the sub, appreciate it! I definitely missed something when I first started reading up on everything years ago. Nitrates are something amazing that I completely neglected. Ugh. 😔
Wait until night and make sure he's in the corner...turn all the lights off and use a red flashlight. Snatch him with a net. Two nets helps.. Tang caught
How to catch the HYT? Step 1. Take note of where he goes to sleep during the night. Step 2. Wait 2 hours after when its completely dark. Step 3. Turn lights on. And I mean bright lights. Step 4. Pluck him out. You can do this with your bare hand :)
Thank you for the suggestion and checking out the video Mac. 🙏 That almost seems too good to be true if I could do that. Would the bright lights momentarily stun it?
Thanks for the advice RRR. 🙏 I've considered this, but am currently on a reef spending hiatus because I recently realized how much I've spent on this hobby. 😬
Drain the tank. The corals will be fine. Kinda like low tide. When the water is low enough where they can only swim on their side, grab a net and scoop them up.
I think by removing the eggcrate you disrupted their territories, give them some time to figure out their new turf. As long as your fish are very healthy and week fed and free of parasites etc then all should be fine.
We need more acropora channels like yours to satisfy the us, the stickheads! Keep up with the videos!
Thanks Mark. 🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video.
Get a second nori clip and feed at both sides of the tank. Seems like the aggression is slowly lowering which is a good sign
Thanks buddy. 🙏 You're totally correct, it's been even better the last few days. Hoping things are looking up from here. 🤞
Can you show what your aquascaping looks like before the corals went in? I love the open space behind and underneath them all!
What coral is that at 2:26 bottom right corner?
Thanks for checking out the video Kenneth. 🙏 bottom right is the teal dragon that is common here. Behind it is the forest fire digi. 👍
Liked your video man. Gday from Sydney Australia!
Thanks mate! 🙏 Cheers. 😀
Lovely aquarium Lovely corals and Lovely fish 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for checking out the video and the kind words Steve! 🙏😀
I know this is an older vid now but I wanted to ask what coral is at 7:54, it's blue and looks like some kind of smooth skin Acro absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks for checking out the video Matt. 👍
That is a Hawkins Echinata. Unfortunately I lost it during my near crash. 😔

I'll look into iron. Makes sense to dose it considering its coming in as n.n on the fauna marin icp tests. Thanks Mikey. 😀
Are you using a skimmer?
Hi Naufal. I was but I turned it off. I never used to run one until I installed this one in January. Ive been thinking about removing it.
@@TheReeferYT And do you use chemical filtration? Such as rowaphos and activated carbon.
@@naufalhanifr5567 I use granular activated carbon. Nothing else. Do you think I should remove the carbon?
Very awesome corals but if i must say...turn your lighting down some and get nitrates up......but awesome tank!!
Thanks Homegrown! 🙏 I'm in the process of getting my nitrates up~ 🤞😀
Looking really healthy! Good advice!
Thanks for checking out the video Kush. 🙏 I appreciate it. 😀
What fish stock do you have?
Hi Spooky. I've got:
2x yellow tangs
1x sailfin tang
1x yellow eye kole tang
1x tomini tang
1x flame hawkish
2x lyretail anthias
2x talbot damsels
Thanks for checking out the video. 🙏
2 yellow tangs in a 140? I hear sirens coming...

use a stide of acrilic they don't see it go down in de water. then you can trap him in de corner and net him out

You need a lot more nutrien to get some bether collors.
It looks great but a lot of them are so pale.
You can Just dose po4 and no3 + or more fish.

@@TheReeferYT Maybe try moving some of your scape more?
