Dang, Kaguya's French in English is actually fairly good. She nails the r's really well

C'est très souvent l'italien dans ce genre de config. Dans les séries, films et anime, les (cours, persos, dialogue en) français deviennent généralement des italiens (elle a l'avantage de ne pas être une langue aussi importante que l'anglais, et l'imagerie des français et des italiens par les non européens sont un peu similaires -séducteurs, férus de mode, et de nourriture, etc- et langue "assez proche")
Bah après il y aurait un problème de cohérence car ont voit Miyuki qui sort un livre où il y a le drapeau français et où c'est écrit Paris

So sad, there is no russian dub, french is important for russian. Its country with most biggest culture influence in russia.
They have a lot of words from french, on holydays with kids cosplaying - you will see a loooooot of childer cosplaying Musketers, they had a lot of films about French, and in 18-19 centry french was most popular launguage in russia (all nobelity speak french using russian as l2 launguage, all of goverment people speak almost only french) and during civil war in Russia many russian just ran to France because of it, so in France there a lot of people with russian names writed wrong and with wrong pronouciation))0

@@megapulsar9244 pour jojo, il me semble que c'est parce que Netflix est à l'origine de la production de la saison 5, et ils ont commandé une VF. Ils en profitent pour doubler toute la série. Pour love is War et date a Live, je pense que c'est parce que l'anime est très populaire a l'international mais manque d'un succès national, et donc ils commandent une vf pour la sortie des dernières saisons, doublés en priorité, avant de s'atteler au doublage des saisons précédentes

Aaron Dismuke, le doubleur américain de Shirogane, est clairement celui qui fait le plus d'effort pour parler français, je trouve, mais je ne trouve pas que sa voix colle très bien au personnage, même si c'est pas horrible...
Si y a une VF un jour, ce que j'espère de tout cœur, le plus judicieux serait d'adapter la blague en changeant la nationalité des français, les rendre espagnols, par exemple, mais étant donné qu'on voit carrément Chika tenir un drapeau français dans l'anime, il faudrait carrément changer ça, c'est compliqué...!

En tout cas je me demande vraiment pourquoi un animé qui a aussi bien marché n'as pas de VF. Certainement un problème avec les japonais mais quand même... Après je préfère attendre et avoir une VF incroyable plutôt que d'avoir une vielle VB horrible. Mais ça fait bientôt 3 ans j'espère juste que c'est pas ATA qui obtient les droits^^. Je pense que ceux qui produisent les meilleurs VF c'est Kana je suis rarement déçu avec eux.

As a French, I just can't help but cringe at all those VAs (well I mean especially the Spanish and Portuguese ones) having to speak French. But, in kindness, I'm sure that all of them did the best they could. I suppose it wouldn't have been any easier with most other languages out there. So, respect for all versions.

It was my first video in multilanguages, I should have been more informed, and I understand that this kind of errors can be annoying, I myself am annoyed when others confuse the French versions and the French Canadian versions in this genre of videos, as French.
From now on, I do my best to avoid these kinds of mistakes!

@@Diacocere304 man, it's ok, as a brasilian, I understant that is hard to know the diferences between 2 accents of the same lenguages. But if you want a tip, the brazilian portuguese is more "silabical", we talk aways the vogals, and the portuguese of portugal is more like the french, like in "fenetre", in the french spoken it's like "fnetre". In brazilian portuguese we speak "fe-ne-tre". Something like that.
Another tip: the major part of the versions Dubbed in portuguese are from Brazil, because here we have more "tradition" in Dub than Portugal, so, with this, you know that the chance of a Dub being brazilian is biggest than being european.

I did, and they messed it up in a really weird way
They found two solutions to the problem:
1. Changing the subject, it's not about speaking another language, but talking about European politics (which still makes with the book about Paris, Shirogane is seen carrying in his pocket)
2. Keeping the subject about Shirogane not speaking a certain language, but changing the language from French to Esperanto (which is coherent with the fact that they are talking about European politic since Esperanto was made to be international and uses many Latin roots for its words)
But by using both solutions at once, they managed to make it sometimes a bit difficult to follow, and sometimes they didn't use any of the solutions making the scene lack any sense.
For example, in the japanese dub, a French student insults Shirogane in French, but he doesn't understand a thing because he does not speak French very well and answers with simple words pretending to agree to what is said to him, then Kaguya insults the student insulting Shirogane in French because it's the only language that student understands. Which makes sense.
But in the French dub, the supposedly foreign student is tasked in French to insult Shirogane, and when she does we don't really know if she does it in French or Esperanto since her speach is quieter than the narrator's, and Shirogane is supposed not to understand her, even though she's not talking about international politic, so she's probably talking in Esperanto even though she was spoken to in French previously, and Shirogane answers in French to agree with her, and she doesn't understand why he's agreeing with her even though she's insulting him, then Kaguya arrives and insult her in French (even though the foreign student was presumably speaking Esperanto), then say she's switching to Esperanto so the foreign student could understand better the insults, and insults her in Esperanto. And after that scene, when Kaguya apologises for the bad words she used, Shirogane says he didn't understand a single thing, even though he's supposed to have understood the part when she was talking French since this is the French dub in whch every character speaks French natively...
To think the Brazilian dub would keep the ShiroGAAAne intonation...
(That's Portugal's flag, by the way, completely different from Brazilian Portuguese)
