The repeating router has a Run status and it is connected to the main router, I did everything verbatim on your description, the same channel are both routers (I see a repeating router is connected to a primary router) and yet there is no Internet access of the repeating router!! What's wrong???

Hello thanks for the video but same problem: no internet connexion at the end of the procedure. Any ideas where it can come from ? The repeater has the same channel as the AP and i followed the whole video. Thanks

Hi, I just tried this and it works *great*. Thank you so much for this work. I have two little questions. FIrst, the light on the router stays orange even though the internet works perfectly. Second, I notice that the Mac address (BSSID) that comes in through 'update' and the only one which works, ending -0C is slightly different than the Mac address I get from the command line command arp /a which ends -06. Is it normal for the LED to stay orange and never turn blue? And why does the working Mac address differ from the one coming in from the arp command? So confused!

Hello.. I've followed the procedure and it works indeed.. But the main issue is when I restart my main modem, my extender goes disconnected and did not connect again.. It says couldn't get the ip. I am not using static ip. Can you advise any solution to avoid this issue? So that when I restat my primary modem, my converted router extender should connect again automatically.
Hi. When you restart your main modem it likely changes the transmission channel and your repeater stops working until you configure it again. Try setting the channel in the main router from "auto" to one of the less crowded as shown by the repeater scanner.

Could you please help me with that: when I go to Wireless mode the field Wireless network name is empty and when I try to change it I get an error: "Please input SSID2!" and nothing happens. Also when I click survey button and then click connect to my WiFi network, the parameters of my network are not being transferred to wireless settings window. I've already tried to reset the router to default settings and updated firmware from the official cite. My model is WR941ND. Thanks!
did everything u said but it doesn't work for me idk even the last step WDS status it says RUN but i can't connect to the new network
If you disable DHCP last, you don't have to mess with network address in windows.

Hey man it worked for a few minutes, but when I switched it off and took it downstairs, to use it as repeater and after turning it on, i tried connecting my mother's mobile and it said couldn't obtain ip.
Tried connecting my laptop which ai used to connect it and it said no internet available. Tried connecting my own mobile and it's not even able to connect to it.
i have the same problem did you find a solution?

I have followed the steps you have taught and now I can use my TP-Link router as a repeater. But I am encountering one issue, when the host router restarts then TP-Link router (Repeater) loses its connection with the host router. After that, all the configuration needs to be done again. What's the solution for that ?

@@hammyy86The issue is with the Channel. You must set the channel manually on both the routers and not leave the Channel on 'Auto" on any of the router. Try and let me know.
