It was wonderful seeing this video and the story of how the Coke livery was revived for a modern Porsche. It was personally very special as I was fortunate enough to be the onetime owner, driver and caretaker of the Coca Cola Fabcar 935 “The Last 935” seen several times in the video. As a long time PCA member, I first met Bob Akin in 1981 when he was the guest instructor at a South Florida PCA event at the now closed Palm Beach International Raceway. That friendship and mentorship lasted until his passing in 2002 at Road Atlanta. Bob had a storied career racing Porsches in IMSA having won the 12hrs of Sebring twice - once in 1979 in a 935, and again in 1986 in a 962. Additionally, he won the IMSA GTP Championship in 1986. Bob was actively involved in the Porsche and vintage racing communities as well. Bob was the epitome of the Gentleman Driver. Thank you for honoring his memory with this homage. I was honored to know him and even more fortunate to be able to call him a friend - although he was a friend to anyone he met.

Good video and informative, but was thrown off on why it was just released when Rennsport was so long ago
