I’d suggest you re-route your power cable as you have routed it around your inverter, especially now you have taken of the choke off that power cable which filters noise/interference.
Good Stuff! Ya beat me to it! 😉 I am still kinda waiting/considering the larger high performance Dishy for mobile use (if it ever comes down in price 🙄) It's currently available in Oz to businesses but @ $3.5k it's up there especially as the RV hardware is so cheap. Be interested to see how it goes 👍
"as the RV hardware is so cheap" Assuming you're talking about Starlink's RV hardware, it's the exact same hardware as home users get. AC voltage and all.
What I'd like to know Ty, is how you found initialising this router and setting it up without the purpose-built software/hardware pairing that is the Starlink router and mobile app? How do you configure it?
@@TyFenwick Oh! :) Thank you! I guess that the app talks to the dish hardware then, and not to the original router. Interesting! :) Can't wait to get it.
The only thing I would be weary of about this solution versus others out there, is the color of the mount. Having it be black, it might be prone to overheat your components inside the mount. Hopefully you don't have any issues in the future. I do love this all in one solution though, just gotta run a 12v power/ground line to it. will make for a clean installation.
So how does the starlink work to obtain the perfect signal if it ddoesn't have the ability to move correctly and jsut staying stationary? Doesn't make sense to me please elaborate?
With so many satellites now the motion part of the unit is not necessary. I have not lost internet over the past 2 weeks in the desert. It’s working fantastic !
its too bad you didn't show a test of the system and the WIFI, I would have a concern about the WIFI being in a metal box and behind Starlink antenna's RF interfering with the WIFI reception
Be very careful doing this, can easily mess up you dishy. Secondly, if it can't move well, you are not going to connect as much nor are you going to get best speeds. Cool build for sure, just some serious risks and downfalls of keeping it flat.
Why do people keep making these Starlink mods? It seems like Elon and Company are not listening... The piece you cut off unnecessarily was a ferrite coil used to get rid of spurious signals.
That’s a neat bit of kit! Well done mate 👍🏼
Thanks mate ! I’m stoked with it
Nice - after a seven week wait, mine arrives in Tassie next week. Looking forward to this 12v solution for my boat.
Nice work mate👍hopefully they build a version of this you can purchase good to go !
Patience of a saint bro. Well done with the dremel. I was nervous just watching it.👏🏻
😅 I was sweating cutting it haha
😂
Damn what a bloody neat install, deff going to have to run one of these on Big Blue

Bloody awesome! Keen for the video about performance.
Video coming soon mate
Thanks, that's a really good vid, and link to the product! 👍 Travel well!
Nice job, I ordered also one but no news from star mount. how long did it take for yo te receive your kit ?
Took around 6 weeks to arrive
Any over heating issues with the All in One Starlink during the time in the NT?
Nope it was great 👍🏼

how's the performance so far? in motion service? following
I have a video about performance dropping this week mate ! CLICK the bell so you don't miss it. cheers
That awesome Ty, great job mate
Thanks Jack ! Il do an update video in a month or so but it’s working sweet so far 👍🏼
I'm camped a few sites down from you with my own flat mount on my Ram!
Ohh really ??? That’s awesome !!!
Did you need to use the extra power supply or does the kit have a 12v converter built into it ?
Yeah must use everything in the kit
I reckon that converter would be 12v to 48vdc. That's the voltage the standard dishy receives from the router in a normal set-up.
hey ty, wont you get water entering the split tube and then bypassing the gland and into your canopy? cheers mate
Na mate, put the bottom part of the spilt tube facing down water runs out
Have you done a video on speeds you’re getting yet?
Stay tuned to the channel mate, just got back from our trip Il be doing a update !
Can I use the home link and use it as a mobile device in the vehicle?
No you’ll need a roaming service
Keen to see how it performs because doesn’t this remove the automatic articulation etc to point to a satellite ?
yeh that's what i thought as well.
There’s so many more starlink satellites now that it’s been working great.
What I'd like to know Ty, is how you found initialising this router and setting it up without the purpose-built software/hardware pairing that is the Starlink router and mobile app? How do you configure it?
Read instructions fully at the end. It explains how to set up your router. The app works the same I didn’t need to do anything on the starlink end.

I don’t think the black will be an issue as it has great ventilation around it with air. You can get it in white also

Curious to see if you have the same issues as Luke from drifta now has where he has ro have his truck pointing south for it to work
So far it’s been great… il do a video update in a month I think
All That RF Directly Above Your Head Should Keep You Awake on those Long Drives...😉
I hope so
starlink should sell just the board
The new generation at just that 👍🏼
Warranty is gone now😂😂
Hardwares $199 who cares 😂
@@TyFenwickyeah if you stuff it, it’s only a $199 mistake! You just have to put your address as rural! 😉

I have an update video on performance coming next week. I wanted to use it first for 6 weeks before I gathered my thoughts.

Just used it for over a month crossing Australia mate never lost internet once.
@@TyFenwick lucky here in Montana we have mountains and lots of trees. All situation.

Starlink has made a great product to meet 90% of people’s needs but some needs it applied differently.
I would be very careful, copy right.
What's copy right ?
Yeah...what he asked...what far kin copyright??????
There's no copyright issues here that I can see.
