Thank you for the video and you have to think there are so many strong female actors & characters in TV series, movies, comics, graphic novels and even video games.
Over looked/under rated b@d @$$ actress is Milla Jochovich, of Resident Evil franchise, Fifth Element, Saint Joan of Arc. She always played awesome female characters with no agenda. It was an opportunity missed when The Expendables did not have her as part of their cast!
I personally think Sarah Connor is the best female character in any action film/series. She starts as just a girl, living through a terrible ordeal being hunted by a machine sent to kill her, and she struggles, she's not strong yet, she wasn't ready for this, and there's some real humanity in that. Later, in T2, society has deemed her insane, but she knows what happened, and is preparing every day for it, using clever tricks to escape so she can get back to her son and save humanity. She has determination, compassion and drive, and it comes from love, which hits us all in the feels. Despite training all that time so she can keep her son safe, she CRUMBLES when she sees the Terminator approaching, because she knows what a horrific enemy it is. That shows us what the stakes are. She trained to be the ultimate badass and she still is nothing compared to that killing machine, but she still tries to fight an even more advanced model to protect her child. What they've done with Sarah Connor is basically take all the things we associate with femininity, like motherhood, protectiveness, compassion, and they turned them into motivations for her to become a warrior, because that's what her son needs her to be. It's excellent character writing.
The statement you made about Hollywood doesn't use beautiful people anymore got me to thinking. It has been almost a decade since we have seen drop dead gorgeous women on the silver screen. I wonder if that'll ever come back?
Not sure if you heard of KINGDOM, a comic (manga) based on the unification of Japan. It is by Hara Yasuhisa and sold over 100 million copies. There is a strong connection to leadership. There are plenty of badass ladies in here, probably the famous one being Yan Dunghe (yotanwa). There's also 2 live action movies.
Look up aunkai body mechanics on alignment of the center of gravity on your body as well as Adam Chan in Hsing Yi on how to to create tension on the elasticity on the tendons and using it like a rubberband on strikes and swords. It's time u study internal strength and make vids on it too.
Don't really care about this neomarxist nonsense of 'what is the best female this or that'. All I care about is good storytelling and great characters.
