Thx to the video. I'm starting to handle installation of our unused 20 stages water purification system. Wish I could know the list of filters to use and it's functions as well as where to buy it. The video is a blessing. Thx
What order are you placing filters? Are you putting sediment filter last? I was under impression carbon went last or does it matter? Thanks for the great video, very helpful
Thanks for sharing. I have changed all the filters. But the last one it keeps dripping water, even I tighten very hard but no use. What do you suggest?
sounds like the seal is missing or out of place or worn. Or the filter has not been screwed in correctly. You dont need to tighten very hard, probably your seal needs to be replaced. Only hand tight - 1/4 turn after you feel resistance.
Sorry but it's not that easy. Just spent 2 hrs trying to get one of the filters containers open after only 4 months of it being installed. Had to call a plumber to get them off. The cheap ass tool they sent along to remove them barley fits and slips off if not PERFECTLY lined up. I wish we would have never bought this system. Rust and manganese came back after only 3 weeks of use.
Thx to series of comments. Diff events and real life experiences relative to the matter added to my learning / knowledge. Thx to contributor for the time and shared exps
Steve...how did you get the filter off? Just moved into a house and one is dripping. Went to loosen it and relube it or make sure it wasn't cross threaded and I'm convinced The Incredible Hulk installed these. I pushed with everything I had and couldn't get it to budge. Thinking I'll have to call a plumber.
The petroleum in vaseline will make the o-rings stretch over time. Use silicone grease instead.
I just did this myself (have the same kit). Greetings from Durham, NC USA.
Sediment filter is always before the carbon filter

Hello, why not the cabon bloc at the end ? Also how do you center the carbon filter to be sûre it is well placed when you tighten the Big blue ?

@@ecologicaltime thanks for your reply. I checked all that you mentioned but it didn't work, still dripping. So I changed it to a new one. 🙏
Where did you get cover for filters
How to have or where to buy manual in installing 20 stages water purification system
The manual specifically says DO NOT USE VASELINE! USE SILICONE GREASE, AKA DIELECTRIC GREASE.
thanks, the supplier actually advised me to use Vasline but the manufacturer knows best
Vaseline is not recommended to use to seat the seal. It will degrade the seal faster. Use plumbers silicone grease instead.
You did not mention which part of the filter is on top and/or bottom - my filters have dissimilar tops and bottoms
Hello, does this just filter water or does it filter and condition the water (makes it softer)?
removes sediment and removes chlorine.
Does not soften. That is a separate filter.
Don't use any petroleum products on seals. I use pool filter silicone.
DONT USE VASALENE !! use silicone based lube!

problem is people tighten these too much. Its a mission to refit as you know.
