If you can belive this.. I was a commercial underwater welder and I got a bad case bend. The workman's company played me around for three years, sending me to three different md's. They all wrote the same thing. Give him a tracked wc as he lives on a farm. They spent 41k on on wc that won't go through any mud
They got stuck every time they drove it. So nothing surprises me anymore.

These promo's crack me up. Very few disabled people get a chair with these abilities so they can go 4 wheeling/ off-roading. When you rely on a machine for every day you simply dont take these kinds of chances. Not unless you can afford to buy 2 or 3 by yourself.

I understand that there are chairs capable of it. However, W-Chairs are in groups 1 through 4. Insurance usually wont allow group 3 or 4. The chairs that insurance generally allow are primarily for indoor use. The other aspect is that many people cant afford to purchase an advanced W-Chair out of pocket. If I'm wrong on this please do correct me. I want to know how to get a chair from Bounder or similar ! :-)
Why would people pay more for an off road wheelchair if they don't plan on using it on terrain a regular chair can not traverse?
I know someone who has 4x4 chair in addition to their usual wheelchair & regularly take it out into the countryside & take photographs of places I could only dream to get to.

An individual would have to pay for it or raise the money through charities, etc. Most insurance won't pay for it. Also, there can be a huge difference between someone who is DISABLED vs someone who is handicapped. Handicapped people are often much more active, may hold a job, get out more compared to disabled people. Hey, if you have $30,000 or more to buy these chairs and you think its money well spent, go for it. Now if you had to choose... should I buy a house or the fancy wheelchair, should I buy a house or a fancy wheelchair. Your priorities may change. Of course, you could use the fancy wheelchair to haul all your belongings and simply live in the woods. No offense intended. I think we simply have different perspectives.

Unless you phrased your initial comment poorly?
Yes the person I know who has a 4x4 chair got it through a charity, she is on the end of life register & is making the most of what time she has left.
You misunderstand, I was not talking about myself & my personal circumstances, I was talking about those whom could use & purchase an off road wheelchair.
Why do you assume I am relating all off road wheelchairs to me & my personal situation? That would be odd.
I live in the UK & we don't use the word 'handicapped' I am assuming you mean what level a disabled person can function at? I admire those who are paraplegic but can play basketball or who are missing an arm but can surf, my friend with cerebral palsy would love to be able to do either of those things.
Personally I am too ill & disabled to work, I do not own a house, I am having to live with my parents who are my full time carers. I couldn't afford to buy an electric wheelchair suitable for my needs but my mother & I raised funds & got the help from a charity & I have just got a new electric wheelchair so now I can leave my house. Before this, apart from trips to the hospital on a stretcher, I had been bed bound for 4 years. An off road wheelchair would not be suitable for me & my medical conditions but should I decide to go & live in the woods, left to it I would be unable to fend for myself & die.

Ну не очень корректно уже - Россия ближе к Китаю чем большинство иностранцев. Нужно только найти дилера который делает доставку из Китая -- примерно такого -- www.parcl.com/ -- и попытаться решить с ним основные вопросы для использования оптовых цен. То есть большинство фабрик и заводов продают на условиях 1. Купи больше одной, 2. Забери в порту доставки. То что и должен порешать для вас дилер. Удачи.
