Ta Peine is in fact translated into Your Sorrow rather than Your Pain.
This is a song here about sharing the sorrow of a companion in order to fragment it and dissolve it.
I gave the english translation in another comment.
This is the first song of an upcoming album devoted to the HEALING theme.
The video was recorded in Sicilia where Lara now lives: her mother family is from there and Gabriel, her husband, that you see for the first time here in one of her music videos, is sicilian.
They moved from Quebec to Sicilia when Gabriel became to be really homesick. The song is most likely talking about him.
The song, and the whole album being released, are a co-creation between Slimane and Lara. Slimane is massive in France as a singer and songwriter and will be the french contestant to Eurovision 2024.
Eric this is gonna sound crazy because I am as big a Lara fanatic as you, but I actually love the delivery and emotion of this song when she sang it live! Don't get me wrong, I love the song as it is, but live seems so much more intense. Don't you think?

The song grows on you. Eventually. (I didn't particularly like it the first several times.) It's not about the singer's pain, but the pain of the man she loves & her standing with him. I believe.
I had the same experience. I wasn't sure I cared for it very much the first time I heard it. But after a few more times it burrowed into my soul.
