- For a while now I have pondered the question of what's next for Universal Orlando Resort and in the thought process of that, I started to wonder what is next for Universal as a whole. So in today's video, I wanted to spitball what I believe could possibly be in the plans for Universal Destinations & Experiences and what I think could form together a very solid "Universal Decade"
A small side note for you as well, all of the information discussed in this video are either already announced, rumors that have circulated the internet or Ideas that I have come up with. I truly hope you enjoy this video & that you consider subscribing for more content just like this.

First we update ET to be up to modern standards. Keep the animatronics and the funny stuff but just make sure it all works as best as it can. Then, we slowly add that updated ET ride to every park. Then, we start to plant trees around it to create a mini ET land. Then, let those trees grow until they cover every land in every park. That’s my decade. ET Decade 💯

I’m thinking SpongeBob takes over Toon Lagoon. Easy to retheme Ripsaw to a SpongeBob boating school attraction, soundstage does abridged version of SpongeBob musical, comic strip cafe becomes Krusty Krab, and popeye’s ship is Sandy’s treedome with barges being some sort of goo lagoon attraction.
So funny enough on my original draft I had SpongeBob going in toon lagoon, but I opted to put Warner brothers any animation on there to keep the “toon lagoon” feel
@@LoshTV I can see that! I just see SpongeBob as the bigger draw for the younger audience. WB has good cartoons but truly second tier compared to SpongeBob’s appeal to millennials and GenZ. Either way, great video!

I cannot tell you how excited we are in the UK for Universal’s theme park in Bedford. It’s so exciting.

I have lived in London and know the weather. It feels like late Fall throughout most of the year with a lot of rain. I am wondering if they would make it an Indoor Park. Would love to see them explore British IP's and culture like a Doctor Who attraction, James Bond, British Rock music, Monty Python,... Could have a Spamalot musical stage show, Andrew loyd Webber spectacular... and of course more Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

It grinded my gears slightly when he called it Universal London, because it's like Americans can' look beyond the big cities
I think Universal is missing out if they don't ever make a Pokemon-themed area of a larger park (not just a single ride). There is so much lore and world-building in the games that multiple generations have grown up playing, all of which are very marketable.
I will truly be devastated if they close Revenge of the Mummy. Like full on tears.
Mummy is such a solid attraction honestly, it hurt me to close it in Hollywood, but I felt like they needed a new attraction

@@brennacollins6000YES! I’ve totally proposed that replacement for Marvel as well. Rename the land: Sonic Adventure. Theme the land to Green Hill(s), Hulk becomes Sonic Coaster (with gold rings on or near the track, sounds and all), Storm Xccelerator becomes TailSpin, a spinning flat ride, Dr. Doom becomes Dr. Robotnik, and Spider-Man becomes a 3D Sonic ride with Knuckles and Robotnic.

I Like all of your ideas but there's one I have a problem with that nobody is talking about, near universal is six flags magic mountain that contains an entire section that contains Loney tunes theming, my suggestion is if they are merging with warner bros then they own discovery which owns the very popular show battlebots. It wouldn't be very hard to make a simulator ride going around the battlebots arena fighting multiple iconic robots with a underdog partner (Glitch, Ghost raptor, Icewave) And I think multiple theming spots would be god with battlebots themeing.
But all your other ideas were great! especially the Hollywood one's, sooner or later they are going to learn that theme parks make more stable money than movies and with the recent failures of the multiple movies the money coming from the theme parks are paying for those movies and by 2028 they are going to ditch movies and go all in on a theme park like universal Orlando
Yeah I was thinking of six flags as well. Maybe they can strike an agreement to use looney tunes equally?

As for the second gate at Beijing speculation, it's unlikely that Nintendo would be a part of it. They were initially going to put nintendo there, but didn't because they found out it wasn't popular in the country. So its more likely there would be something else chosen.

One question m: Since Universal is gonna merge with WB in your Universal Decade, this mean they get the rights to Cartoon Network and its shows (PPG, Adventure Time, etc) wonder how this gonna affect their relationship with Nickelodeon since SpongeBob is heavily featured here and I don’t think they are willing to share space with their main competitor in a theme park.
At best, they could open a clone of the CN hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in Hollywood.
Plus, if it weren’t for WBD shutting down Rooster Teeth earlier this month, we could have a RWBY themed land in Epic Universe.
Oh yeah that would make sense, I wonder if they could just come to an agreement on certain sections being used throughout the park, like both are used throughout the park but none of them collide

Not only that we can also get Dc and Looney tunes into the park. I can see Looney Tunes taking over Simpsons and Dc taking over the Marvel area

If I were in charge of Universal Destinations and experiences, I would want to create a second Hollywood theme park that has similar areas from Orlando and other international theme parks (Hollywood, New York, San Francisco), and add lands such as Diagon Alley, a Monsters land (similar but different from Dark Universe), and Donkey Kong Country. I would also retheme the Hilton and Sheraton hotels to be new original resorts that are unique but go under one conjoined concept (like endless summer and Stella nova & terra Luna); Hilton will be themed to Southern California, while Sheraton will be themed to Hollywood and film-making. All of these would open in summer 2028, in time for the Olympic Games in LA.
I think Universal in Europe will focus on the UK (Bedford) rather than Spain (aka PortAventura World) regarding the big IP's.

What do you mean by modern retelling of Spielberg movies? Remakes? Or just new attractions and lands based on Jaws, Back to the Future and other Spielberg stuff?
Essentially new versions of the former attractions like jaws & back to the future. With some new things sprinkled in as well like the goonies.

I honestly could see Universal getting a cruise ship in the next 10 years.
Bikini Bottom (SpongeBob SquarePants themed land) would be so cool to see in Epic Universe! Maybe the land can be tied with the rest of the land, the entrance portal can be a machine that Plankton and Karen built to open portals to other worlds to escape once he steals the Krabby Patty formula.
I think a certain area can be themed to Glove World where you can ride the Fiery Fist o’ Pain! There can be 2 other flat rides themed to the Glove World aesthetic. The second big attraction can be a dark ride that uses a trackless ride system where you board the Patty Wagon to help SpongeBob and his friends get back the Krabby Patty formula from Plankton and Karen throughout various famous locations in Bikini Bottom like Goo Lagoon, Rock Bottom, etc. The entrance to the ride/queue will take place inside of the Chum Bucket. It should feature animatronics and screens/ projection mapping.
SpongeBob’s house as well as Patrick’s and Squidwards can be places to meet the characters. Sandy’s Tree dome can be a play area as well as a meeting area for Sandy. Of course the main food location will be the Krusty Krab where you can order Krabby Patties. Like all the lands there will be various gift shops but the main one will be the Barg’N Mart.
It seems that each land will have some sort of interactive element so I think a jellyfish net would be neat and can be used on various Jellyfish scattered across the land. The final boss of sorts can be the King Jellyfish

I have a good idea, USJ updates their Jaws ride (Because honestly if Jaws has any chance of appearing in a Universal Park ever again, Japan needs to update the ride so Jaws has a better chance).
And what would Disney do during this decade? Build 2 new rides. Both take 5 years each (one of them is just a kid coaster) this doesn't seem right but think about how slow disney has been in building things in parks lately
Some predictions you made seem plausible. But I still don’t think Nintendo IP’s will become prominent in Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure, I think they’ll have their own new lands in Epic Universe. I think Universal needs to go back and create new attractions based off of classic IP’s.
I think that’s where the new park can come in, at least for Nintendo, but I also view Nintendo as the new Harry Potter as they may want to sprinkle it into all of the parks

Nah it's already heavily rumored by theme park insider who has a great track record thay pokemon and zelda are going to studios and islands respectively.
It makes no more sense to keep them together than it does with keeping dreamworks properties together which clearly Universal isn't considered dragons is at Epic and rest are at studios

18:38 I would rather have Nickelodeon build their own outdoor theme parks in Southern CA and the Orlando area, which should be even bigger than both of the current Nickelodeon Universe parks combined. Both parks should be themed to different Nickelodeon and Nick Jr shows including SpongeBob.

AHHH I did, I mentioned a couple of hotels, but I never have detailed descriptions of them
Turn Toon Lagoon into a Shonen Jump area featuring Naruto and One Piece. I know everyone wants SpongeBob or some other large American family property but I’m more for still somewhat keeping the park to still being about classical storytelling. The Legend of Zelda still fits into that concept because of the fact that the entire franchise is based around the different games being different “Legends”. SpongeBob, Scooby Doo, and Hannah Barbera don’t have a place in Islands of Adventure and also most of the Hannah Barbera properties apart from Scooby Doo aren’t really well known with the current generation of children. Shonen Jump however is recognized internationally and is still very relevant and popular with properties like Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen all being a part of the magazine.
Sound like a lot of Japan would be jealous with that idea.

I think having two lands based around a Nintendo property in one park can make it pretty overcrowded unless it’s some sort of expansion. Also Pikmin sadly isn’t one of Nintendo’s most well known properties. However I think that considering the way universal is expanding it’d be really cool to see them build a park themed around animals and nature in films/entertainment which could be a perfect place for Pikmin to exist.

Parades for pretty much all of Universal’s characters doesn’t really make sense considering basically none of their movies are musicals like Disney’s stuff so it’s kinda weird seeing dancers and characters trying to be that in Universal (clarification->)*Orlando, not sure about the other parks*.
I mean it depends on the property, have you seen some of the international universal parades ?

More Nintendo is what I am hoping for. Zelda attraction instead of the lost continent. A Pokémon snap ride, an f zero attraction ( could be Universal's answer to Tron). A Metroid attraction, A Luigi's Mansion's attraction, Bayonetta, Star Fox, Xenoblade,....
Also would love a Lord of the Rings land, a Japanese anime inspired land, a Studio Ghibli land featuring a Spirited Away attraction. Bring back attractions like Jaws, Terminator, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future ( improved versions of all). A land based on the Final Fantasy games and Horizon Forbidden West,.. The Matrix is a cool franchise as well. DC Universe,...
I feel like Nintendo realistically has the name power to carry its own theme park!!

Put Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera as an expansion, Keep Dudley Do-Right, Popeye and Bluto, and the rest of the land the same for 10000 years to come please, every year, just do the temporary winter closures then reopen the rides as the same theming! I hope to the sake of God and heaven that Universal will never change Toon Lagoon! That land is sacred and is a timeless classic land like never before! My family even loves it too, along side with Harry Potter! So please don’t change Toon Lagoon ever, only expansions, but that’s it! Keep Toon Lagoon like ET forever and also keep MIB too! It’s also our favorite ride along side Popeye and Dudley Do-Right, when you said that about Dudley and Popeye rides, I wanted to cry even more than a baby! 😭😭😭, so keep Toon Lagoon forever! Or else I never come back to Universal Orlando EVER! So keep Toon Lagoon please!!!! 🥺🥺🥺
I’ll do you one better, let’s completely update the attractions at toon lagoon: new ride vehicles, fix some of the effects that don’t work anymore & bring back a show to the toon lagoon theatre

Comcast/Universal are going to get so much back in investments from just Epic universe alone I can only imagine. I’m NOT a fan of just cloning whole lands… I think you’d get SO MANY people who’ve been to the USA parks trying to go to the ones in other countries IF they have something special to offer. If you have the same Nintendo Land in 4 parks worldwide, that eliminates it as a reason for those travelers to go
With Universal getting Warner brothers I feel like you missed a major opportunity to include characters from DC and the monster verse DC is probably one of the most well-known comic book companies in the world with probably the two most iconic superheroes of all time being Batman and Superman. With the new DC universe coming to Cinemas I feel like universal would jump on the opportunity to use these characters in our theme park instantly. for the monster verse it's the second biggest cinematic universe in cinemas as of right now and with the characters, King Kong, and Godzilla both on the rise as of late this is a huge miss opportunity to replace the Kong ride to this and also to expand it to something more than just a random ride stuck in islands of adventure, also I understand the character of Godzilla is not owned by Warner Brothers, but the creators of Godzilla Toho are trying to expand the character to amusement parks as of late, and I Just feel like this is a waste of an opportunity
The 2020s will be to Universal what the 1980s were to the Lakers

We don’t want Nintendo in IOA, that area should be split in half with extra for Harry Potter which is by far the busiest section in the park and Seuss landing. Plus, epic universe has a dedicated Nintendo land so let’s not duplicate and cross pollenate the lands.
Fast and Furious needs killing, and makes sense for a second ride for Harry Potter, it desperately needs it.
Timelines are all too long. As soon as epic open, huge developments need to start happening in the other two parks, IOA first and then Studios, this takes us nicely to the end of Simpson’s in 2027
