Season Two - Episode Seven: "Negro y Azul"
    Episode Description:
When Walt and Jesse decided to expand into new territory, Jesse's recent behavior causes suspicion and puts the operation at risk. In order to get her mind off things and find her own identity, Schuyler looks for new career options which lead her to a familiar face. Meanwhile, Hank is finding it hard to find footing with his new colleagues and things heat up between Jesse and his new landlord Jane.
    Episode Overview:
Tracking Jesse down at the duplex he’s renting, Walt finds he is in no mood to do anything but hide out and get high following his involvement in the murder of the drug addict who stole from him and his crew. While Walt is inclined to work on his own for now, he reconsiders after Badger, Skinny Pete and Combo reveal that Spooge’s death has made Jesse a folk hero in the narco-underworld. Meanwhile, Hank’s transfer to the high-stakes world of the DEA office in El Paso threatens to expose his shortcomings as it intensifies his anxieties about the job. And as Skyler’s worries about money grow, she is hired to work for Ted Beneke, who she once threatened to sue for sexual harassment.
Though he’s reluctant to take on any rival dealers, news of his reputation as a take-no-prisoners drug lord leads Jesse to sign on to a plan to corner Albuquerque’s crystal meth market. As his health worsens, Walt learns of Skyler’s going back to work even as she is getting close to having their baby. Meanwhile, Hank’s world is turned upside down when a DEA raid turns into a deadly ambush that claims the lives of an informant and several agents.
On her first day back on the job, Skyler is troubled to learn that Ted, the executive whose groping led her to quit several years ago, has recently separated from his wife. Emboldened by his tough guy reputation, Jesse meets with Skinny Pete, Badger and Combo to lay out his plans for expanding their army of dealers. Finally, after Walt warns him that they are going to have to set their sights for the expanded operation even higher, Jesse lands in a sexual relationship with his landlord, Jane.

They should put them, because for those of us who speak Spanish, it is very difficult for us to understand what they say. Almost all the actors in the series can't speak Spanish. Most of the dialogues in Spanish are incomprehensible and with an accent worse than that of a 3-year-old boy who only his parents understand.

Because first of all, "Latinos" are Italians, Spaniards, French, Portuguese, Romanians, Andorrans, half of Belgians ... my comment is aimed at the fact that the majority of second or third generation Latin Americans in the USA, hardly speak Spanish. Those of us who have Spanish as our first language find it difficult to understand it because 1) Terrible and incomplete pronunciation of words.
      2) literal translations of phrases or words from English to Spanish that do not make sense in Spanish.
      3) grammar mistakes
      4) accent.
Obviously if I watch a Chinese program, I will understand something despite not being Asian (note the irony, as if all Asians speak Mandarin / Cantonese and your "Latino" had to speak Spanish.)

I love how the writers did with this plot line. They really made Texas, the location, some sort of villain. They first make you uncomfortable with Hank’s charms not working and all of his colleagues speaking Spanish. Then they show Tortuga’s death that even Hank couldn’t stomach watching while all of his colleagues are watching like it’s Tuesday. Lastly, Tortuga’s head explodes and scares even Hank’s colleagues. Before this scene, Hank seemed like the best DEA agent who is fearless, smart, charismatic and almost flawless. It really reveals how dangerous Texas is.

unfortunately, both breaking bad and better call saul have some terrible spanish-speaking actors. some of them clearly know it quite well to some extent like danny trejo or whoever plays don eladio, whereas giancarlo esposito doesnt speak a word of spanish. the same for michael mando (nacho varga) in better call saul. he obviuosly is not a spanish speaker. these latter 2 are speaking it without understanding it, unless someone tells them what that means. also, in addition to the bad spanish-speaking in the cast, there's the bad spanish scripting. grammar and semantic mistakes in spanish are recurrent to some extent in both gilligan's series.
