Whenever I see people rally these cars my first thought is: "Rear-wheel, I4, seems like not the most optimal setup for off-roading." Then I remember that a good chunk of the Group B cars were just that. So naturally I kinda want to make my little N/A a rally beast like this. Cheers!
944 has the transmission at the rear axle (Transaxle) plus a large fast back storage area loaded for adventure camping and such would give it good traction.
Beautiful rig!! And very real compliments to your father's sense of class and skill...really loving those seats especially. Mind if I ask what the company name is? And any idea what that would cost to have done? I'm definitely interested if it's affordable?
If you're not purest, you could always put a Holden LS-3 in there!😉 The transaxle can easily handle it and the weight isn't much more (roughly 13.5 kilos more than the original turbo engine), so you're still very close to 50/50 balance. Lots of people in the states do it with the GM LS-1's and LS-3's.
He just talks VERY fast compared to most english speakers, friendly tip...just go to the settings for the video and for playback speed choose .75 instead of 1x and you'll be able to understand every word perfectly and much more easily. His brain works fast, a sign of intelligence, but yes, it can be a little hard to understand the occasional word or phrase.
it's so good. and those seats!

Looks awesome. My dream car. Seems like it still performs really well in terms of handling with the lift!

Perfectly understandable to anyone with a decent education. I take it you must be from the US?
