ATTENTION ALL! Mortske’s video with the dualing datsuns won’t be up until next Monday! The merch website will be down for a week to allow us to catch up on orders! We are behind from our wedding week! The audio on the camera messed up on this video and I cleaned it up the best I could! Also there’s a editing issue in there where the audio don’t match the video for a few seconds, somewhere around the towing the propane trailer out mark! Sorry about that! Hope y’all enjoy!
For people that are curious: The Mighty Mo G1000 was a late 60's tractor. It was powered by a MM 6 cylinder engine. 8.3L 6 cyl engine, well past the 500 cubic inch mark. Rated around 100 drawbar HP. Obviously, being a 6-10 ton tractor(depends on weights) HP is not really measured for it like you would a car. Redline is probably somewhere around 1900 RPM. This one they have is pretty rare. They made a smidge over 7000 of the G1000 over 4-5 years, most were diesel, most were not wheatland. Lots of people would ditch the cab because it is a tin noisebox, but that has made factory cabs super rare too. This tractor in good form will freeking CHUG like a train. Mighty Mo diesles roll black smoke enough to make any cummins/duramax millenial wet their pants. I doubt the LP version will, but it will still chug like a son of a b. When this tractor was built, White(made trucks) had owned them and Oliver, and Cockshutt(mostly Canada). After this tractor, they combined this engine with Olivers transmission and made a G1050 and G1350. There weren't hardly any painted yellow though. I am familiar with these because I grew up with and now own my Grandpa's(then my Dad's, and now mine) '65 MM U302. Tractors like this can sit for 40 years and fire up with an afternoons work, provided they weren't parked because of a breakdown. There's no computers to fail.
Hey Airman😅 as a 23 year USAF veteran and spending hours on B-52’s, I want to thank you for your service and thank you for the great content you put out on RUclips.
Buddy that’s one of the best videos yet. You and Mortske work pretty good together. I really enjoy seeing your dad in the videos. I bet he is excited to see it run again, grandpa is smiling right now seeing you and your dad bring it back to life.
See now ol' Mortsky was singin' this song on his channel about how he has a skid steer that is so superior to the Towrolla. Now you got a Minneapolis Moline for your stubborn machine moving tasks. Great stuff Puddin.
Millennial Farmer and Vice Grip Garage would both appreciate this project. I use a gun cleaning set for areas like the coil connection on the cap. The different size brass brushes with varying lengths of rods work perfectly.
Your pops showing you how to drive that ole girl was priceless brother. Love it!!! God bless you and your family. And thanks a ton Mortske for playin along. Love your channel too bud.
I like the friendship you and Mortske have developed, but I admire the relationship you have with your Dad. I had a good relationship with my Dad, moved back to where he lived, to help him, and got to spend his last five years with him. Aside from Jesus, family means the most.
Todd his pops was standing behind the seat leaning over the propane tank. Not a chance in hell they would have fit with him sitting on his dads lap lol
That tractor is awesome you really made your dad's day getting that thing running can't wait to see what else you have in store for us keep on rocking!!!
Gotta say I ain’t a RUclipsr or a mechanic. I don’t know engines and I don’t know editing. But I do know you are one pretty skilled man when it comes to engines and dang funny to watch. Keep up your good work brother I love to see it.
When I was in high school (late 80s) I worked on a hay farm. They had 2 tractors: a Massey-Ferguson and a Minneapolis-Moline. The "Ol' Mole" was the bigger tractor and wasn't used every day. More like heavy jobs, or when the Massey was on injured reserve.
Propane is the easiest to get started after sitting. But man sure burns it up to farm with. We have a few old Molines around the farm. The tractors used for pulling are propane powered. Love the calibration. Hit the 👍🏻 for each when y’all post them.
You've got the propane hooked up to the liquid fill valve, if you flip the propane cylinder upside down it'll fill the tank on the tractor because like it is the the tractor is running off the cylinder and that's why it's freezing up
Sit it higher than the tractor tank then open the relief valve on the tractor tank and it'll flow in. When the relief valve blows a constant white cloud the tractor tank is full
When I was young Amish boy I worked on amish farm . WE had a square fender MM to run thrashing machine it was great tractor with a lot of power! Brings back a lot of good memories!!
O yeah this is going to be awesome. I’ve been waiting on this all day. Just smash that like button on the way in folks, these two together is going to be hilarious 👍😎✌️
I had an early 60's Minneapolis Moline M670. It was about a 70 HP tractor. I paid $800 for it, kept it for 15 years, used it all the time, that thing just kept going non-stop. Other than routine oil change, i had to buy a front steering tire for it. Like i said, i used it all the time, never had an issue with it. It had about 5,000 hours on it. I sold it for $8,000😆😆
This is your best video!! I love the teamwork of you and Mortske, together! You guys crack me up !! Plus, this tractor, G1000 is from my hometown of Moline, Illinois and was made from 1965 to 1969. I remember visiting the john deere factory, International harvester farmall factory and the US ARMY Rock Island Arsenal, where the tanks were made, when I was a kid during the Vietnam war, 1968- 1969 on open house days, it was for family and friends to tour factories and entire grounds with my brothers,
Most collaborations are honestly disappointing, but this was great. You guys are very natural together and complement one another. Your dad is great too. Very entertaining video!!
When using a 20 lb. Grill tank to fill another tank, you need to turn the 20 lb. Tank upside down. The 20 lb. Tank feeds the grill from the top of the tank. To get the liquid propane out of the grill tank the tractor needs the grill tank upside down.
Another thing that works, though slower, is to make sure the 20 lber is warmer than the tractor tank. Problem of course is the little guy will cool as the liquid goes to vapor so it needs a heat source. The propane will migrate to the cooler tank and condense there. This is how I fill my 20 lb tanks from my 200 gal generator tank. Sit the little guys in ice water for a while and you can hear the gas flowing from one to the other. A couple hours and you have plenty in the 20 lber to grill for some time.
My uncle had 1967 G1000 row crop version that was a propane burner. It was at a consignment auction in the mid 80s. It started and ran real good but no one would bid on it because it was propane. He bid $1000 and it was his,, was pretty cheap horsepower
New to your channel but Your saying I heard in the first video I watched of yours. “Sitting on your ass will not finish a project” inspired me to go out and buy my own old project. Last week I grabbed 1951 4 door shoebox. And also started a channel to show the progress. Ordered parts from Shoebox central thanks to the video of you riding to the show and helping them setup early. Great content keep up the good work.
Well done Puddin :) , Mortske Repair :) & Puddin Dad Jim :) that so cool how long sat around on feild for and got started up also tune and fix she winner! My one Morris got M&M tractors on his farm all in great shape to and have tell about this video check it too also watch it!
Jimmy looks like a worthy opponent for my old ass to arm wrestle. You other guys, not so much. I acty fan a Chevy 350 on propane for some years before propane lost the price advantage. I can tell you that the engine wear on the Pistons was almost non existent, but valves in those days were a little soft for propane

We had a 50s model Minneapolis Moline on propane also. Damn fine tractor. It was a workhorse. Also had an early 60s International Harvester tractor. We used them exclusively until the mid 80s when we upgraded to newer IH tractors.

Grew up with the previous model to that MM, the GVI or G6 Model. Basically the same tractor but diesel and no sweet Meade cab on it. They are amazing tractors and will pull until the last lug on the engine. Anyone who's ever ran one in the field will know what I mean. Awesome vid and Colab with "MORT" LOL.
propane is built in ac for the summer we had an old one just like this in the summer under heavy use the tank would frost up to the propane line and keep the cab a little cool with a fan
Well done guys all your video's are good but this was the best one yet . What a good watch. Next one Puddin you got to go to Mortske place and do one their with him. Can't wait to see what Mortske puts up with the Datson's.

That’s all I can do unless you want halfass videos and me to not spend time with my family. I see neither as an option.

504 cubic inches. Mine has a HD800 . THE vista g1000 is alot more desirable.
I will state the obvious....They don't make them like that anymore.
Thank you for the info. Very interesting 👌
Thank you for the information, I was curious
HP doesn't matter for something like this. How much torque does it have?
Just snorted out my drink at "how does jimmy fit in there? he teleports." 🤣 so glad you guys did this collab. Thanks to both of you.
"Don't say crank too loud or the neighbors might be coming over" lol I died at that.
