  • FNAF has many Unsolved Mysteries, such as the secrets shown within the Midnight Motorist minigame, including one of the most confusing pieces of lore in Five Nights at Freddy's. Who is the Orange Guy? What is the mound, is it a grave, and if so who's in it? Who is the Green Guy? What is JR's? This is the Unsolved Mystery of Midnight Motorist.

    This is the first video in a brand new Hyper Droid Five Nights at Freddy's series, called FNAF: Unsolved Mysteries - a series where I attempt to answer (or at least provide all the information I can give for) FNAF's biggest Unsolved Mysteries without wasting any time. This video goes through a lot of the main questions that came from the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator / FNAF 6 Minigame: Midnight Motorist, such as: "When does this take place in the FNAF Timeline?", "What is FNAF JR's?" and much more. This also kind of could be "What is Purple Guy's Motives? / What is William Afton's Motives? / Why did William Afton Murder?". This is Season 1, Episode 1.
    Five Nights at Freddy's is an indie video game series and media franchise created by Scott Cawthon, later adapted by Steel Wool Studios and Illumix. It has further grown to big platforms such as Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo with Console Ports, also reaching all Mobile platforms and all Computer platforms. The video game series currently has 10 games, FNAF, FNAF 2, FNAF 3, FNAF 4, FNAF 5/Sister Location, FNAF 6/Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, FNAF: Ultimate Custom Night (FNAF: UCN), FNAF VR: Help Wanted, FNAF AR: Special Delivery and FNAF: Security Breach. The franchise also spans out across multiple series' of books (Main Book Series, Freddy Files, The Ultimate Guide, Fazbear Frights and Tales From The Pizzaplex) and merchandise (FNAF POPs, FNAF Plushies and some FNAF Board Games), with a FNAF Movie coming soon. This is a game theory about the Five Nights at Freddy's Unsolved Mystery / FNAF Unsolved Mystery of Midnight Motorist.

    Do you have any FNAF: Unsolved Mysteries that you'd wanna know more about?

    ALSO CORRECTION: Grave CANNOT be Elizabeth's, she dies after Charlie's already dead, not before, so my bad for that error, I confused my original dumb timeline with the one with a load of research and stuff, my bad! It would be either Mrs. Afton's or where William hid Charlie's body, nothing else really makes too much sense Timeline-wise

And it really doesn’t make sense for a kids arcade restaurant to be open at midnight if the name of the game is true or for it to have a bouncer outside. I think the drunkenness and William just being a psychopath makes sense. I think that this along with what the squimpus tapes said I know non canon but taking his anger out of Michael by killing other kids because it would be too obvious to kill his remaining kid after the crying child was crushed.
    In essence his motive is him being drunk and a psychopath where murder is a way for him to get his anger out. But also murder allows him to kill people like Michael so he has the relief of killing people like his son but not killing him directly

    I always thought the mini game was trying to say the following:
    William, struck with grief over either his wife or Elizabeth, turns to alcohol to try and ease his problems.
    When the bar Jr’s cuts him off, saying he’s had too much to drink, William goes out driving.
    His driving is reckless and dangerous, exactly like how you drive in the mini-game itself. That night when Charlie gets locked out, she does what all children do, run out into the street, where she’s hit and killed by drunk driver William.
    William panics, hides her body in the alley, and speeds off. However, it’s this encounter that activated his dormant desire to kill. William, who was looking for an escape from the loss he’d suffered, first tried alcohol, but by accident found that he could get a better high from murder.
    He drives home, behavior erratic from what’d he’d just done, yells at his kids and then goes to find where the crying child went.
    Canonically I don’t think he went back to Jr’s, I just think the dialogue option there is supposed to tell the viewer William had been there earlier.
    PLUS, it makes no sense for Jr’s to be a pizzeria, what children’s pizzeria is open at midnight?

  • @frenchiesottises8193
    @frenchiesottises8193 Год назад +2

    The minigame feels so out of place that, yeah, this could literally be the game that gives us William's motive behind all the murders.
    The biggest question that people ask when stuff like this happens is why, and William is no exception to that rule. People just play along with it now cause we never had a clear answer. William being drunk and finding a new way to vent his anger actually makes a lot of sense.
    Also, something, something, it's not the first time Scott's implemented weird clues in order to tell us something we either didn't get or got wrong and they've felt out of place. Makes sense this game is just another example of that.

    There was a footprint outside, it was raining and the present one in the house is watching tv. Then the only possibility is there was someone from the outside breaking in the inside. This debunks the Crying child theory going outside.
    Why?
    There are no glasses outside the broken window. This is a normal clue on detective shows like Detective conan. If the force for breaking the glass came from the inside, (Crying child going out to escape theory), then there should be shattered glass outside. There was none so it's possible that someone broke from outside to inside and the shattered glasses are in that room.

    I heard a similar theory to yours with the only difference being that instead of the footprints being Springbonnie's, they were actually Shadow Freddy's, who went to BV's room and lured him to see Charlotte's body. Due to the "what is seen in shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child", BV thought that Shadow Freddy was Fredbear in the shadows and when he saw Charlotte's body, he became scared of the animatronics, hence why he's so terrified in fnaf 4.

      @Sally Trip not necessarily. Something of note is that the Orange Guy ignores the footprints. If he’s able to see his sons footprints from that far away, why wouldn’t he notice the animal footprints closer? Not 100% sure what the evidence for this is, I just know that one of the pieces of evidence that he brought up in a separate video was based on the theory that Eleanor is in the games and that in the games Eleanor is a version of Elizabeth. He then noted that in FF Eleanor was an entity called The Shadow similar to Shadow Freddy and used that as evidence that they were connected.

    So... way back when, Mat Pat put out a theory about Orange Guy not being William Afton, but being Henry... which would completely upend a lot of stuff that has been assumed about the other characters... but which I think can actually still work. Unless there's some definitive evidence that I've not seen, I don't think anything in the games directly contradicts the possibility of Orange Guy being Henry, and Mike and Crying Child being Henry's sons. I know people point to the cut scene at the end of Sister Location as proof that Springtrap is the "Father" that Mike is addressing... but that's only an inference.
    I dunno, to me, including Midnight Motorist makes a lot more sense if it's supposed to tell us something. And what really bothers me about the idea of Orange Guy being William Afton is that that *wouldn't* really tell us anything. We don't really gain new information from it. Whereas if the intent was to say "No! You've got it wrong! Crying Child ISN'T Purple Guy's son!", then it would make more sense as an inclusion. Showing his father as the *opposite* colour of Purple Guy would make a lot more sense too, if it was supposed to signal that he's a different character. Whereas showing the same character in a different way only creates more confusion.

    This is probably a stretch, but I think JR’s is a parallel to Jeff’s Pizza in Into The Pit. Jeff’s Pizza used to be a Freddy’s location but was rebranded and taken over, years after the original establishment was shut down. I’d imagine JR’s is in a similar vein in that it was once a Freddy’s location but was bought out, downsized, and rebranded under a new name and owner. What’s strange is, how could there be footprints from William dressing up in a spring lock suit when he was too busy getting drunk and murdering Charlie. Also if he used the suit the only way footprints could show up, is if it was raining, and everyone knows springlock suits DON’T do moisture. While I definitely think ur right on most of everything, there is still puzzle pieces that don’t fit.

    I kinda like the theory on Jr’s and the green guy, maybe jr’s is just a bar that William would go to get drunk probably because of the guilt he felt for what happened to Elizabeth, he probably caused a commotion inside the bar and was kicked out so in his drunken state he got angry and drove back to Fredbear’s diner where he saw Charlie ( Henry’s daughter) alone outside and so in his anger decided to kill her, probably because he was jealous at Henry since Henry had a good life with his wife and daughter while William had no wife probably cause she left him or passed away, so William decided to take something from Henry so he would feel the same pain he felt. After killing Charlie he drove back home only to find out his son ran off to Fredbear’s family diner
    Now that I think of it William is a straight up Psychopath

  • @charlierashi100
    @charlierashi100 Год назад +1

    The problem with this theory is that the grave doesn’t add up.
    We know that Elizabeth Afton dies because Baby was programmed by William (Purple Guy) to kill children. We also know that Charlie, Henry’s daughter, died before any of the others. So if this is based the same day as Charlie’s death (William’s first murder), why would Baby already be programmed to kill children? It only really makes sense that William got a taste for killing after his first victim (Charlie), so he programmed Baby to kill for him, which means Elizabeth must die after Charlie, so therefore she can’t be in that grave.
    So we suppose that it’s Mrs Afton in the grave. Why would William be trying to scare Crying Child away from Fredbear’s if none of his children have died due to the animatronics yet? Also, it’s heavily implied that Mrs Afton posses Ballora, so she couldn’t be in that grave if she does.

    ALSO we see in the fnaf 4 mini game that fredbear’s is pretty close to the Afton house, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume the location is fredbear’s

    * In regards to the footprints: I feel like would have to be a Shadow Animatronic. Those footprints are still fresh visible in pouring rain and we know for a fact that Animatronics, especially springlock suits like Spring Bonnie, do not do well while wet, so it couldn't have been anyone but those 2. It couldn't have been William since he just got home from killing Charlotte, and there's only one set of footprints where the rest just vanished.
    * One theory I saw on reddit that seems really simple to explain William being orange: If he just killed Charlottle, his suit would be messy and he had to change clothes. It's such a simple answer but I had never thought of it that way
    * To me, the grave belonging to Mrs. Afton makes the most sense. Look at it this way: if that was Elizabeth's grave, that would mean William made child remnant funtime kidnappers before everything else started. He would have to know possession existed at that point.
    * As far as an Unsolved mysteries episode., I'd like to see one about 'Immortal And The Restless'. There could be a lot people could grab from that series!

    The opposite color to orange on the wheel is blue not purple. For purple it would be yellow. These are known as their complementary colors. Even with this wheel used as an example the arrow starts at yellow/lime not orange.
    JR's defiantly is a bar though. Bars typically have flashing signs and someone standing guard outside. I mean have yall ever seen security for a kids restaurant standing outside? Not only that but I always got the vibe that this game was taking place at night.

    I like the idea of jr's being a bar and the guy at the door being a bouncer, that's really accurate and honestly I think that's what Scott was going for. But I don't think William just started killing kids after getting drunk one night and killing Charlie. As we don't see Elizabeth in midnight motorist and we see a mound of dirt, it's possible that Elizabeth has already died and Afton buried her remains. And as the funtimes were programmed to kill kids, which is how Elizabeth died, this means at this point Afton was already killing kids/planning to kill them and probably just killed Charlie out of spite for Elizabeth dying. I think like MatPat theorized, William was always just an awful person who just killed for the fun of it like lots of serial killers do.

  • @jeremiahthornton7938
    @jeremiahthornton7938 Год назад

    Concerning the way Scott wrote the story, we may never know, not unless he tells us. That's good, but also very bad. I say this because he makes things too complicated. The story is like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces that don't fit to each other. It's clunky and disorganized, mostly because there is no clear order.
    Sorry for the rambling. I'll get to the point right away. I think Take Cake To The Children or Midnight Motorist did not happen after the Bite of '83, but before. The wildflowers and lush grass suggest the FNaF4 minigames take place in spring. Charlie died on Halloween. It could be the Halloween of that year, but I doubt it. The animatronics were acting up before the Crying Child died. And if Will already murdered Charlotte, it would explain why the "numerous and simultaneous springlock failures" happened. It also explains why Fredbear was able chomp the Crying Child's head, which no normal animatronic jaws can do. Will was behind it all. He may have started killing way before this, but who knows?

    What if they're from another pizza place or sister location and their likeness and/or their names were reused for familiarity? As if the fazbear company used them after aquiring the company through a buyout or maybe that company instead bought out fazbear after the fire?
    Because one thing I never understood is the pizzaplex itself. Who built the pizzaplex? It can't be vanny/vanessa as she wouldn't need to be hired if she already owned the place.
    But the chilling thing is, monty gator has appeared in fnaf in the past games. In the "happiest day ever" minigame there is a kid with a green mask that looks like monty and a purple mask that looks like the foxy one but with a shorter snout; like a wolf. It can't be mr hippo or happy frog as both masks clearly have some kind of muzzle (comparing to the foxy mask) and the purple one also shows teeth on the top, not the bottom.
    Could it be that monty and roxanne were around a lot longer than we knew? Could they be from JR's? It would explain why chika is also there with them along with freddy, instead of foxy and bonnie.

    Also the person in the chair is probably not Michael as he was not an adult while the crying child was alive. And as a teen he did not care about his brother so he wouldn't have said "leave him alone he's had a rough day"
    I belive the person in the chair could be Ms.Afton and the kid could be a very young Michael.
    The problem with my theory is if it's the same night he killed charlie it could be much later in the timeline instead of when Michael was young.
    But if it's the crying child then we would know that Charlie died WAY before the missing childrens incident (we already knew it happend before but this places it ATLEAST 2 years prior) since the crying child died in 1983 and the missing childrens incident happend in 1985
