Agreed. I see too many people mock others for theorizing. It's possibly discouraging others from sharing their theories. This whole fandom has been built on theorizing. How are we going to figure anything out about the story if we don't throw out different possibilities.

there something sad and alarming when a video that do the most healthy theorycrafting method ever have to put multiples warning for the fans to not put down another theorycrafter because they discuss a theory. (being critical of a theory, while respecting the person who made said one.)
but I think it's because content creators/fans don't seem to understand that, or mistook theorycrafting with putting their reputation on the lines.
theorycrafring ARE trial and error, this is normal and healthy to make mistakes. because you then know what don't work.
and I think as long as reputations will be mixed in the discution of a theory, it won't get better.

Another really interesting "outside of the box" thing to take note is the mention of the robots being 20+ years old, despite the timeline of the first game being "1993", and 20 years ago at that point would be 73. I definitely don't agree that the person on the couch is Michael, if the orange character is Afton. It makes more sense if the person that ran away was Michael. This would be after Evan (the crying child) dies.
I like your idea, though, because it continues the pattern from the other minigames: Afton's crimes, like you said.
I think the name "later **that** night" is too significant to say it's just a random night. It has to relate to Charlie's murder, or the fruity maze girl's.

William never cared about Crying Child. If he did, he would've stopped the bite from happening or at least tell Michael that bullying is wrong. It doesn't make sense for William to have plenty of time to put cameras all over the house, yet somehow no time to find a proper babysitter.

@@asuperrandomguy8266 the simple answer is the pain the bullying causes. William's scientific philosophy is pain and fear allow the soul to be moved to another body. 'the spirit follows the flesh and the pain.' this means he's using the boy in his experiments and explains his Lacksadaisy attitude to parenting in Fnaf 4. He had an opportunity to save his son on the third night after helping a worker into a spring lock costume. He ignores the boy's presence. The cameras are to make sure he's suffering in a manner useful to William. William ONLY shows concern when the bullying kills the crying child BEFORE William's experiment is concluded which is why he uses Michael as an experiment in the main gameplay of fnaf 4. To teach him a lesson and to experiment with sorrow and guilt.

I feel like this is a valid interpretation of Midnight Motorist, my main issue is just. Why are we being shown it?
Puppet minigame is important because puppet
Fruity Maze is the first MCI victim, Susie (and is also a lot more of a background element in a minigame that would otherwise exist)
Later That Night, under this theory, would just be a random murder since every other death we know of was at a restaurant. A murder that was never expanded on in a game that was mostly wrapping up loose ends otherwise. And this is a minigame specifically created as a secret bonus route when the MCI minigame was more so just a background element in a previously existing game. It's a weird higher level of effort for an incident we otherwise know nothing about and doesn't line up with any of William's usual MO

@@ScapeVEVO Foxy’s minigame shows specifically that the kids are away from the group and unhappy, that’s the repeating theme before the scare when he walks in on all the bodies. The children were killed in quick succession, not together- that’s part of what makes it imo the most unsettling- it was quick and efficient and so *recent*.
From the murders we have stories for, Afton is shown use the kids’ isolation to his advantage. we see him take an opportunity with Charlie’s murder, we see it’s his strategy to lure Susie, and it’s the protocol he literally programs into Baby for her stomach hand shenanigans.
As much as I hate the idea of Agony and Remnant the same way I hate midichlorians from Star Wars, I feel like much of the tragedy of FNAF’s victims is in their often incidental loneliness immediately before their murders.

THANK. YOU. This is what's made the most sense to me from the get-go; all three minigames have a common and horrifying thread of showing how Afton did what he did.
This is also precisely the reason this game (Pizzeria Sim as a whole) is the scariest in the series to me. Sure, jump scares, experiments, remnant, that's all interesting, but the actual chills in this one comes from that deep adult fear of something happening to one of your kids, whether they're "your" kid as your child, friend or relative's child, student, mentee, etc. Remnant doesn't exist, but people like William do, that's horrifying, and these games are surprisingly effective at showing it without being graphic.

This was something I only recently came up with, but I think the 'point' of Midnight Motorist was to hint at how the crying child became so afraid of the pizzaria. I don't have a full fledged theory about it, but I do think that him going to 'that place again' on what seems to be the night of one of William's murders could lead to the crying child seeing something he shouldn't and being scarred by it. As the son of one of the owners, he would have access to more areas of the pizzaria than most kids and could therefore stumble in on his father in the spring bonnie suit. This then leads to the lines "Remember what you saw." "You know what will happen if he catches you."

That theory of "yellow guy is afton" always pissed me off. "It's afton, the kid is Michael, the house layout is the same. The car is the same."
Ignoring all of the other parts.
The yellow man is an abusive alcoholic father and the kid lived in a neglectful house where the most consideration he got was from someone basically going "go easy on him he's had a rough day." And his main place of escape was Freddy's.
Like with the girl Afton targets vulnerable kids and kids within the local area. He sees this kid being abused or knows how the father is sneaks over at night when the dad isn't at home and the other guardian is busy watching TV to care. They break the window to get the kid out and together they return to the pizzeria or wherever.
He's the perfect victim, "kid ran away from his abusive family. Don't blame him."

If I was a betting man, and leaning into the theory that the minigames show Afton's crimes, I think the 'secret grave' is just that, it's the grave of one of Afton's victims that he didn't stuff into an animatronic. For that matter I don't think he actually stuffed any child corpses into the animatronics, I think that's a little fan misunderstanding which was cleared up when we see the Puppet STUFF the souls of the murdered children into the suits. The only one that was quite literally stuffed was likely Charlotte which is shortly before William targets the daughter of Henry as a form of revenge, who we also know was not stuffed but rather had the animatronic near her when she died.
Whoever is in the grave must be one of those victims, I think the child who was lured away was the kid that became Bonnie and the one that is buried is the last one, Cassidy.
The grave isn't just a secret, it's the grave OF a secret, the one who inhabits Golden Freddy.

The minigame's from the perspective of William driving home drunk after the death of his youngest son. The person at Junior's is Henry telling William that he's not allowed in; I believe this was confirmed via audio from another game. The person who escapes through the window is Michael, and the grave would then be where the youngest brother was buried.
Essentially, the youngest brother dies earlier that day which we see in a Fnaf 4 minigame, Michael grieves all day and decides to break out (likely after seeing an animatronic possessed by his brother), William arrives at Junior's drunk and emotionally compromised and is turned away by his business partner and then proceeds to drive home only to find his wife trying to dissociate watching TV and his remaining son having broken out through a window, and ending with William deciding to head to the unmarked grave to try and find Michael.
Every other theory I've seen has made very little sense and isn't supported by anything in the games; only having support from certified non-canon (to the main universe) books. This one by I forget who is much more grounded and is supported by an audio tape I believe from Sister Location but I could be wrong on which game, as well as the house being illustrated as the same one from Fnaf 4.

I always thought that the person on the couch was Henry and that the child that broke out of the house was Michael. The grave outside is for the crying child. William Afton being the yellow-orange guy makes sense because isn't the "purple guy" only purple because he's usually in shadows? Michael is only purple later on because his body began to rot.
Maybe the story is that William was supposed to watch over Charlie while Henry watched over Michael. However, William was depressed and drunk after the death of his youngest son so when he saw Charlie he killed her. Henry was unaware of this which is why he's still at the Afton's house babysitting. When you think about it isn't it strange that Charlie's father wasn't at the restaurant when she was locked out? Usually, parents keep an eye out for their children unless they trusted a close friend or family to do their job for them. Maybe Henry asked William to babysit Charlie and then take her home since her mother was there. I also say that because I'm pretty sure the file name for the person watching the TV is called a man. Since it's called later that night it's probably later the same night of Charlie's death.
Now as for Michael breaking out of the house and what animatronic he saw I don't know. But I highly doubt that the child is dead since William says "He will be sorry when he comes back." Michael isn't dead and shouldn't be dead anytime soon. Most likely William ends up tracking him down and then moves his room to the FNaF 4 room. That's why the room has so many cameras in it and why in Sister Location you can see that it's still in the FNaF 4 house. After Michael's stunt of breaking the window and running away, he was moved to a room where he would always be monitored. I think that's also why the nightmare animatronics are there. Think about it- the crying child's room only had 1 door and yet the FNaF 4 room has 2. That wasn't the crying child's room. I believe that the minigames and gameplay in FNaF 4 aren't from the same pov. The mini games with the crying child are from his perspective but the main gameplay is Michael. Rather they're how William is punishing Michael after what he did to his younger brother.
JRs if I remember correctly is called a restaurant so it's probably the old location mentioned in FNaF 2. Charlie was probably killed at Fredbear's which is why it closed down. A child died inside and outside the establishment and Charlie's death couldn't be portrayed as an accident.
In the FNaF 2 minigame version of her passing the building is incredibly small so it's probably the original location. After her death, the Security Puppet was moved to JRs.
The reason why William can't go into JRs is that the death of the crying child lead to a criminal investigation. Since he's being investigated he can't go inside the building. That may be why the MCI incident happens. To spite the security he kills 5 children in JRs and stuffed them in the suits. By the time that happens the puppet was already there which is why the Give Gifts Give Life mini-game occurs.

I looked up a video of the Toy Chica UCN cutscenes because Afton (Toy Chica) flat out states his methods of luring the kids away in them, and a house is talked about during the Puppet (Charlie) cutscene. William remarks about going to her house, and if she didn't answer the door he would use a window or the chimney to get her attention.
I bring this up because I'm not sure if it was supposed to help solve Midnight Motorist, or retcon it, especially as the Toy Chica cutscene seems to clash with the FNaF 2 and Security Puppet mini games in terms what those show. Although, you could go with the outlandish idea of Afton getting the kids to lock the door and debiliate the puppet in order for him to murder Charlie, after luring her to the pizzaria, without anyone knowing.

I have a big problem the concept that the fnaf6 minigames depicting william's victim and that is the inconsistency of how they show it. Both security puppet and fruity maze are pretty clear with what they are trying to tell us. Security puppet is about Charlie's death and possesion of the puppet and Fruity maze is about Sussie's death and the beginning of the MCI.
Now MM is not as direct with the lore it gives us. Unlike the other two you have go outside of the main minigame to access the important section. This means that the second part of MM most be of high importance. But who of William victims is so important to warrent this secrecy? It can't be Cassidy, the runnaway kid is referred as 'HIM'. I don't think could be one of the other MCI kids, they were clearly killed at Freddy's.
If I've to speculate I think the minigame is connected to Elizabeth. Security Puppet is the origin of the Puppet which in PS is inside Lefty, Fruity Maze is connected to William Afton as it was the first time he killed wearing the spring bonnie suit which he is now trapped in. And because we already have Sister Location and it really isn't a trap soul Molten Freddy doesn't have a minigame. Which leaves us with Elizabeth a character that probably does deserve the secrecy and ambiguity of the MM.

To give you some help since I own a copy of the twisted ones, the hole would have to be made of three overlapping square holes to be where a twisted one buried itself for the day. This was uncovered by the main cast in connection with Twisted Freddy's multiple appearances in the book as he left this bizarre patterned hole set in several locations only to emerge from them later. The wolf however seems to hide in forestry and hates it's purpose of abduction so perhaps the wolf made a friend to spite it's maker. It is weird though how yellow man KNOWS that the runaway will return, given there's no proof they maybe able to.

The only desth that happens is Charlotte, turning into the puppet, this was unintentional
The guy on the couch is the only other actual staff member that later influences phoneguy in the games, he was the greetet and janitor
Him is William, Henry does not know his daughter is dead and was still out looking for her.
J.R.s was Fredwards foodhole before Charlotte went missing and was sold in a firesale. Henry can't go in as it's no longer his, the police found no evidence and J.R.s is in the midst of mass refurbishing, hence all the cars and it being open at night. The nightguard here influences Fredwards 1, its why be canonically dies, in the games, loosely made inuniverse by Scunt Cunthorne.
SMH. Henry locked William in the room and locked the springs so he couldn't leave the suit. The smallfootprints are the puppet following William. It does not like rain and so is on its tendrils on the ground and holding an umbrella
Also no. Children souls do not infect robots. This is an arcade game in Fredwards PLC, that has stand up machines with all of the main games but long lines and a VR cabinet

Though if they didn't refer to the child as a him then the mound could have been Susie's dead dog buried there and the mini game could been how she got lured to the pizza place.

I think you were on to something as we know springlocks act as animatronics and suits. It could be that Afton actually sent out the animatronic version of SpringBonnie to kidnap this kid. Now in the twisted novel especially in the visual (or graphic always get those confused) it is shown that the way the twisted animatronics kidnapped people was by stuffing them inside their springlock suits. We see this in the books that later when Charlie let her self-get kidnapped the robot then buried itself. Now we could have something like this happening that halfway through the walk to Freddy's the SpringBonnie suit noticed to begin to rain it then scooped up the kid inside of itself and buried itself under that mound of dirt we see. When walking over that area. Basically, if this is correct that child is still alive when we arrive home.
Sidenote in the novels they are just holes but it was shown that in the novels a foxy twisted animatronic still attacked Charlie during the day. Meaning under the right circumstances they can still attack during the day and night.

  • @RivkahSong
    @RivkahSong Год назад

I like your theory that Afton was the one who left the prints by the window in his Spring Bonnie suit, though I have a different theory on the mound of dirt. Like you said, Afton couldn't have been in the rain in the suit, as the springlocks would fail. So what if he lures and knocks out or kills the kid BEFORE it started raining (it wasn't raining while yellow guy is driving on the freeway) so when it started he took off the suit and quickly mounded up some dirt and leaf debris on top of it to hide it since he couldn't have carried both the suit AND the kid's body out of the woods at the same time. He was probably planning on coming back to get it later.
And this could tie back to FNAF 2, since if he DID bury the suit overnight while it rained, the streaks of mud on it might have been what clued Phone Guy in that someone had being using the suit to the lure the missing kids.

  • @DynamiteRaven
    @DynamiteRaven Год назад

I find it interesting that everyone assumes the person who left through the window was a child, though I imagine that is largely due to the "this is my house" rant sounding like an angry father. But if you look at 5:24 in this video you can clearly see that the print size/stride match the adult sprite. Maybe it's not a kidnapping, maybe it's an escape.
    Here's my crazy theory:
    - "Mustard man" is Henry. This is the snake and the kittens scenario, from Candy Cadet. Afton has already killed once but Henry can't bring himself to turn in his friend, even if the victim was his own daughter. Maybe Afton managed to spin some convincing lie, claimed it was an accident, or guilt-tripped Henry about the '83 bite somehow being his fault.
    - The secret grave is Charlotte's, buried near Henry's house so he can visit her as we do in the minigame.
    - Henry has been driven to drink by this, to the point he's being turned away.
    - In an effort to protect other kids and shield his friend, Henry has forced Afton to come live with him so he can keep an eye on him. And keep his door open to show he isn't up to something.
    - The figure in the chair is Henry's wife who has been watching Afton on some pretense she was told, being sympathetic to him because she doesn't know the truth.
    - The three-toed print is from the Spring Bonnie suit in animatronic mode, come to collect its wearer. (Much like we call Glamrock Freddy in SB) It breaks the window so he can leave in secret and Afton then walks off beside it, waiting until later to change it into suit mode as it has begun to rain.
    - "That place" is Afton's new mad scientist lab where he has begun to study his unintentional creation, with Henry being too upset by his daughter's death to realize the importance of what happened to the puppet. Maybe Afton sees a way to a better life for his own brain-damaged son, maybe he sees an avenue to eternal life for himself, or maybe he is mad science-ing for mad science's sake, who knows. He just needs a few more test subjects...
    - The timeline would then go: Puppet minigame leads to Midnight Motorist leads to Fruity Maze. (Or: An act of malice leads to a sinister discovery leads to a cold-blooded attack of opportunity.)
But hey, that's just a theory. A gaaaaame-- Okay, I'll see myself out.

Interesting take, though I think there are more connections between Afton and mustard man than you think, namely the implied relationship between midnight motorist and security puppet. It's not a lot but we see that when Charlie is killed outside it is dark, it is raining and there are car tire tracks next to her body which really didn't have to be there unless it was to make a point. We then see the purple car speeding away on a rainy night in midnight motorist, with the following scene being labled "later that night" in the code. Lastly I think it's Michael Afton in the living room watching his immortal and the restless and because of his text and shirt colour. Is this proof? No, I wouldn't say so, but I do think these point to it being Afton and why people made that connection.
IMO Afton has already killed some kids which is why the security puppet is installed, why he's turned away from a junior fnaf location (phone guy says employees are being investigated and can't come to work at one point), why he has to kill Charlie outside and why there are wanted posters in the alleyway because someone probably has a vague description of the murder suspect but not enough to actually know Afton is the murderer. He's angry at Henry for questioning/kicking him from the company so he kills Charlie in 1983 and we see that the crying child is alive still (but dies later that year) and that he has broken his window - that's why in FnaF 4 he's been moved to a room without a window and is being surveild. Anyway that's why I personally thinks it's William Afton.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

The problem is that her supposed big brother refered her as a he but she's a girl so it's not Suzie or Charlie because the victim is a boy so Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy are possible but it's probably Cassidy because he's the one you shouldn't have killed, also Cassidy from UCN has no gender confirmed so i think it's Cassidy

I don't think it's that solid to say that the link to orange guy being Afton is weak. In addition to the purple car, there's the fact that the shape of the house resembles the FNAF4 menu house shape.
I do think that if orange guy is Afton, there's no way gray person is Michael. It makes NO sense for Michael to tell his father to do anything, and would the same guy who says about one child "He'll be sorry when he gets back." would let his other child tell him what to do without making THEM sorry for stepping out of line?
I don't think so. Gotta be the wife. Only a wife would have the standing required to tell an angry man that they live with what to do. Even then, it's weird that he doesn't respond. Who knows, this minigame is a mess and a half.

I commented on some of the implications of FuhNaff's theory, and i'm going to do it again here
I think this could be the abduction of Susie (the missing child who inhabits chica), thus explaining the grave as the dog's grave that was then desecrated by afton to fill Mangle. There's still no explanation for the rain, but being "Later that Night" from Fruity maze, which appears before it by 1 slot on the catalog, also solves some issues.

The footprints are visible because it rained and turned mostly to mud, and the footprints would only form if something was walking around during or after the rain. but, it's still raining when orange/yellow guy finds the footprints. Unless anyone wants to argue that I don't know how dirt/mud works perhaps?

Depending on how deep the pocket is its not unreasonable that the footprints would still be there for some time even when it's still raining. And if it's an animatronic then the feet would be pretty heavy or even if it's Ol Willy having to stand there for a while as his feet sink.

I know this is much before its time but what if it was Gregory? Glamrock freddy has 3 toes and round feet, plus, following Gregory’s timeline, it would make sense for yellow guy to say he “went off to that place again; being the Pizzaplex. As for the grave, im not sure. Iw as thinking the locked box with the “real” dead gregory (assuming he’s a robot) but im not sure. Not sure how plausible it is but hey its something.

What gets me is, the child left a trtail of footprints but the animatronic only left two prints. I don't think the animatronic could break the window without leaving tracks, so I don't think the animatronic broke the window. The child would not have broken their own window unless...yellow guy locked the child inside their room. At the same time, it makes no sense for the child to see a motionless animatronic outside their window and proceed to bust out their window and run right past it. It also doesn't make any sense for there to be no animatronic footprints following behind the child's footprints. I can't think of any other explanation other than the animatronic was motionless outside for a long time and someone physically picked it up and moved it to and from that spot.

My issue with this is whereas the Funaff theory is trying to tie everything together; this theory instead states that barley anything is relevant and has no real meaning. Jr's is just a random bar, the person on the sofa is irrelevant, and the child and the yellow guy have no greater meaning unlike the other characters we see in these minigames

It can’t be spring Bonnie though cause of the rain as we know spring lock animatronics will lock the user if it gets wet and I don’t think the kid was being lured to be killed because yellow guy mentions he’s sneaking off to that place meaning he’s been to certain place before which is so weird idk could be William was wearing glitchtrap suit if it’s actually ever existed since we don’t know if it was ever real or just something created in the game

But it has to be William. Same vehicle as the fnaf 2 mini game. The game is called later that night and what would be the point.
Also the mci victim house doesn't make sense because it's assumed that the mci is a freddy location incident, if someone was taken from thier home then it's just children going missing with no relation to freddys

  • @jordanbrandon81

Hard to say. But it could be after the FNAF 3 fire. Maybe after Springtrap is near killed he wanders off and finds a child. Maybe luring them and killing them to harvest Remnant and 'recharge' himself. Sort of like Pennywise feeding on a child. He either lures him out or breaks in. The child then runs outside and away but we don't see signs of pursuit. So hard to tell. The pile of dirt could be said child after the murder. Unknown to orange man.
This is going off the Afton animatronic idea here.

Okay, I like this one. This is a Midnight Motorist theory I can get behind.
I don’t mean to sound mean, but I never understood why people are willing to believe Yellow Guy is supposed to be the same guy who has consistently been depicted with a purple silhouette and otherwise been associated with the color purple. Even in his cameo in _FNAF4,_ where (at the time of release at least) he didn’t have anything (immediately apparent) to do with the main story, you know it’s him because he’s a purple silhouette with white pupils on dark eyes, while all the other characters in the Atari cutscenes are pretty detailed by FNAF standards. (I’m convinced the main reason Michael is allowed to be “Literally-Purple Guy” is because he’s not a silhouette - he’s still wearing clothes.) That, and, while I absolutely believe William was an awful father, we’ve never been given any indication of him being a violent drunk. It just seemed like a really counterintuitive theory base to me.
My only issue with your theory - and I’m just saying this for the sake of being thorough - is that it seems odd to me for William to stand outside someone’s house in his Spring Bonnie suit, especially going so far as to break the kid’s window (there’s no glass on the ground. It had to have been broken from outside) just to lure him to a murder spot. I know he’s very committed to his fursona, but wearing a FazEnt staff-exclusive costume outside company property? Even if he is the cofounder, I’m not sure people would see that and not think it’s weird.
Then again, Will doesn’t really have much of a history with subtlety. I promise I do like your theory. (It kinda would be nice to know what “that place” is, but Lord knows there’s no solving everything in this series, so oh well 🤷‍♀️)

Supposing this theory is correct, it would make sense to assume the grave is the resting grounds for yellow guy's wife. There is no presence of a mother in the house where there are 2 children, which is odd in and of itself, but it would also explain yellow guy's alcoholism.
Only problem with the theory is, why would it be significant to mention this child? It just doesn't seem to have a purpose to be in the game.

The one were we see spring bonny behind the reflection of the girl
