I’m loving all the points made about RDJ. Me? I don’t like it tbr. I agree that a part of me thinks they were doing something with revealing him and the way they revealed him…coming on stage, snatching the mask off. They probably were in the meeting saying “this is going to kill! Crowd going to go nuts!”, and many did. But many were also like 😅🤨
The halo series is a good example of taking a character we all know and love, doing your own thing with it, and while not everything is horrible….it didn’t quite work, and made a lot of ppl disappointed.
I think people are lesser OK with comic book adaptations being original storylines, because there’s not very many examples of where Hollywood has gone good with an original idea, so it’s like just adapt the source material because you guys just don’t know what you’re doing otherwise. there’s minimal adaptations in film that are just..good. I do like the example of Matt Reeves, Batman, and the Knightmare Snyderverse tho.
