Awesome! Im currently holding 200 english bbs and about 100 japanese bbs. Also lots of other product. Pokemon investing is fun! Makes me feel like i have my own card shop.
Great collection and gains! The mad thing is if the collection increased by just 26% a year (which isn’t unreasonable) you’d be a millionaire in 10 years. Best of luck with it! Be interesting to see updates every now and again on the progress.
i’m sorry if you answered this in the first video (i have not watched) but how did you start investing in pokemon, and how much did you start with? i’d love to start investing in some pokemon myself
I love this question. Wondering if I should make a video to answer it, but for now I’ll say that it was coincidental. Wife wanted to go to Costco, I saw some Pokémon card tins, bought it to open and feel the nostalgia. Then Pokémon 151 dropped, I opened packs and then started researching prices and then found out about sealed products and how they go up over time. Bought some random things at first but I’d recommend buying at least one of every booster box that comes out and a Pokémon center etb of each set of you can afford it. As you research and start to learn more about the market, you may feel more comfortable with getting fancy and deploying larger amounts
@ thank you i really appreciate it! and i think a video on this topic would be a great idea, im sure there are a lot of people like me wondering the same thing!
im at about 48k in sealed which is about 68k cad im not a whale but to any other investors just starting just start set a budget up every month and get something even if you cant always get the best deal consistency is key in 3 to 5 years from now when your investments are 2x 3x or 4x where there at you wont care about the 10 to 30 bucks you save looking for deals you will just be happy you bought and took action , remember the best time to buy is yesterday
The amount of time and money its gonna be to sell all those singles and boxes when you do decide to sell 😬. Especially with how expensive shipping has gotten for things like etbs and booster boxes
@piratekinginvestments i usually do a collection purge about once a year and the past few years ive been consolidating into bigger items. Im doing my purge right now since the prices have been going crazy. In the last month ive sold about 70 items totaling about 7.5k usd. The time its taken for me go through my collection, look up prices to see if its worth selling, listing, packaging, going to the post office is maddening and comparatively speaking 70 items isnt a lot. Ive been doing this for 8 years so ive learned how to do things quickly and efficiently. I have a label maker and all my shipping supplies for whatever item im looking to ship. Shipping cost and shipping supplies have gotten so expensive compared to last year. The only part of selling right now that has been worth it is how fast things are selling. Ive been around long enough to know when its time to sell and its right now. This "bull market" will eventually cool down and prices will come down as well. Along with the practically instant liquidity of this market. It will be interesting to see what happens end of january and tax season when bills and taxes are due
How are you insuring this much in physical products if something goes wrong?
that's the neat part , he doesn't

Scrap that, 24.7% gains a year your 110k would be just over a million end balance. Mad to think about!
There was a 151 Booster Bundle Restock in the US Center yesterday 😲
Great pickup

where are the booster box cases? that's where the gains are at 🎉🎉 also you cant trust values 100% on these apps. Always gotta double check
I know it’s not 100% accurate because prices are always changing but it is using latest eBay solds as a guide

I agree and time in the market will save you from most “bad” Pokémon investments, especially with sealed product

We’ll see. I’ll document that too when it’s time
