Im very sorry that you bought these right off rip, but that was the actual mistake. I bought 3 boosterboxes for 180 € TOTAL & im sure that they will blow up in 5-10 years The yen dropped, they got reprinted, all those are facts that influenced the price. Pokémon is kinda like a stock market, as im sure you know, but buying the set when its the most hyped, the most rare to get and than making a whole video about why its bad to invest in japanese cards with a major warning in the titel is just not sitting right with me, when you just bought the product in a very very bad moment lmao

Japanese is a different market agreed, I would say it’s more for collectors than “investing”, for example when the pokemon company noticed S&V clay burst was going to the sky they reprinted it, they managed to bring the price straight back down again this is because of Japanese culture, they don’t believe children who collect should be paying more than retail for anything just because of the current market situation, and from a collector view point I love it. Hence why I only collect their cards

The moment they stop reprinting this set the price will skyrocket. The first master ball set, 151 nostalgia and god packs. This set has it all. Just because you dont understand a market doesn't mean they're a bad investment.

I've been doing this for a few years - English for sealed, Japanese for ripping. Period. Rip the Japanese and submit for grading, hold those cards, but keep English sealed and never rip bc you're going to get 10% of the value back

Living in Japan, so will be buying some boxes and sitting on them for a few years. Once the print run finishes for good, THEY WILL GO UP. It’s just fact! Can’t buy it any more, prices rise. 👍

I was pretty fine with all you said on your videos, but this time i couldn't agree less with your opinion. I entered the hobby some years ago, and ordered bunch of japanese S&M Displays for like 40$ ranges. If I wouldn't have open these i would've made big big returns, just look at prices of miracle twin, remix bout, Dream League or Tag All Star, let alone Tag Team GX (which was the original Team Up counterpart)... SwSh changed this game a lil bit in terms of way more printings of these sets, but if you got your hands on Blue Sky Stream or Eevee heroes, also most of the other sets, you would still be at 100-600% gains. I think you are biased because of your 151 dilemma, me for comparison I ordered one MSRP Box from the center, sold it for 190, waited for the reprint and bought 3 boxes for 65 each, now waiting some years and these will quadruple without any doubt, even if there will be another reprint. It all depends on the right entry Point and smart moves. You coukd've preordered Battle partners some days ago plus getting an poplular promo card which will pay for the whole order itself. Japanese market will have his comeback just like the Fusion Strike 90$ boxes, SV Displays for 30-40$, just absolute riskyless moves to buy imo.

Eevee Heros was $55 at release. If you are "Investing" when the set is already $400 you are gonna have a bad time. Just horrible advise in this video. Looking at Investing in just a 6 Month to 1 Year window is horrible. You don't understand the Japanese market.

If you’re not buying Japanese products at 5-10x retail value, your risk or potential losses would be significantly less. I exclusively invest in Japanese, but I get all my sealed product at retail. I also think that the lower entry point is great for those new to the space or with smaller bank rolls.

I did subscribe. #86. I see you are pretty new and a fellow Canadian. I have been collecting for 50 years. Just sports at first but started into Pokemon and non sports about 10 years ago. My collection is somewhat similar to yours. Since i was a collector long before an investor I like ripping as well. A long time ago after a couple failed attempts to build a sealed collection i decided that everytime i purchased something i forced myself to keep at least half of it sealed and leave it that way. Now i keep almost everything sealed. Partially because its more valuable and partially because there is less sorting and organizing. Right now is a great time to be in the hobby as you cant really lose at the moment. No matter what you purchase, Pokemon at least, its going up. Its impossible not to be making money. I dont invest in sports much anymore because its too expensive and its very volatile. Most sports peoducts will not make you money but with Pokemon every single booster box ever made has increased in value. Its al.ost like you cant miss.

Watched about 10 to 15 minutes but cant stand it anymore. I admit you have some decent stuff but its driving me nuts how you have no organization, rhyme or reason. It just bounces all over the place. Its like all your stuff was thrown into a giant washing machine and mixed for an hour then it just starts randomly spitting stuff out and thats the order its presented to us. Its totally ridiculous and for me unwatchable. I cant imagine what your collection as a whole looks like. If i can give you some advice. Organize, organize, organize. Likely you have done none and now it seems undoable. Try organizing as you go so you dont fall behind but this is the most unorganized out of control collection I have ever seen. I may come back and check you out again later but for now Im out. Get it together man. You have some nice stuff but stop buying and just throwing it into the pile. Take some time to organize and present your stuff more professionally. As is I wouldnt consider buying anything from you. If i didnt know any better I would swear you won the lottery and just started spending. Bringing everything home. Opening some of it and throwing everything into a closet without sorting or organizing anything. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

im at about 48k in sealed which is about 68k cad im not a whale but to any other investors just starting just start set a budget up every month and get something even if you cant always get the best deal consistency is key in 3 to 5 years from now when your investments are 2x 3x or 4x where there at you wont care about the 10 to 30 bucks you save looking for deals you will just be happy you bought and took action , remember the best time to buy is yesterday

Great collection and gains! The mad thing is if the collection increased by just 26% a year (which isn’t unreasonable) you’d be a millionaire in 10 years. Best of luck with it! Be interesting to see updates every now and again on the progress.
