Checking in from Jaguar Land… VAST improvement in sound!!! I’ll give them grace in the drilling; I know they’re still trying to sort it out, but they’ve got a lot of ground to build on. Dr. Bonds is doing a great job with these young musicians!!
I like to see all HBCU bands do well. This is a vast improvement of what they last had. A work in progress! Their numbers have increased. So it appears they have plans. If they dont improve, it'll be a shame. I enjoy seeing every band do good so people can debate legit on who's the best. All in fun and the spirit of competition. We'll see what happens with Valley.
1st time listening to this band. 16 snares and 7 dmajors!??? okay. I was expecting more from a band this size but I guess bigger doesn't always mean better.
Obviously you know nothing about MVSU so you shouldn't comment. The school literally had less than 100 members across the board for many years. They now, for the first time in a very long time, have 300 plus members. So it will take time to build. I'm proud to see the progress, and I'm a JSU
Valley Sounds Good!! Looking Forward To Seeing This Program Excel in The SWC, Although the Drill needs More Work and Focusr! Loved The King George “Keep On Rolling” Arrangement!!
They actually sound great… they just need to tighten up on the marching and drills. Please trash that “Can We Talk” arrangement…. It’s way to high schoolish….Hopefully they get it together because the bands on their schedule starting from FAMU and on will show no mercy on and off the field!
Seem like this show was a little too difficult for y’all. The energy dropped at points. Keep it consistent Valley. Don’t be afraid to dumb it down just a little. I see a lot of potential.
Oh nah the drum majors not being in the right spots in the beginning during the drills and being confused is a no no no. Drum Majors set the tone for the field show. Definitely got to get that together. Other than that. The band definitely sounds good, glad to see Valley finally have some size
@@ixel_4xactually said the same thing. Drum majors are not disciplined at all. It looks bad especially when the band is sounding good. Look at the pep rally. They were all in front of the band talking. It’s like what are y’all doing. The band looks and sounds great though
@@russellsmith8300facts. And it’s not like I’m hating, god forbid I’m not. This band gives me Talladega vibes. The huge snare line, nearly 10 bass drums and etc. I just personally feel like the way the drum majors screwed up makes me feel like this field show was put together the day before if they can’t remember what spots they’re supposed to transition to during the drill especially if they didn’t move anymore during most of the performance, how hard is it to remember an assign number on the field that you’re gonna be standing at for 7-8mins 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Why are your Drum Majors not involved in the show, they are standing on the sideline like traffic cones. Vast improvement 👏, it is a process and its called growing pains...
This was not good drilling, MVSU was off center, not hitting lines and the line weren't straight at all. I am sure things will improve. Drumline is too loud on the field it drowns out trumpets.
Lol here we go with another dummy talk about the trumpets it's not about the trumpets y'all kill me with that BS I take it that you're from Baton Rouge smh
And this band had a higher score then FAMU at the National Battle of the Band in Texas? That let you know that who ever were the judges do not know true musical quality. They sound like mess and the arrangements are bad. Big do not mean you are going to be good. You have to know how to manage that size and musicality.
They need to find their own sound. All them tubas and they don't sound solid. Trumpets you can't hear at all, the rest of the band playing chord melodies and still can't hear the lead. Drum section, I'm glad yall have grown but too much on the field, drowning the band. That still was not good. But if they continue, and get better they may have a shot.

When they get their ish together, they are gonna be a problem... in a good way. I'm so proud of this program.
Exactly!
The influence of The legend Dr Gregg’s will never go away such the likes of the great one Dr Foster ❤

Thank you for the footage !!
The announcer is going crazy
Nice to see Valley back to its former numbers!!!!! Although their take on SU’s drill was a bit daunting, to say the least. Go Valley!!!

Turn the base drums with the drum surface to the audience. You can hear them better!!
D@mn they look and sound so much better now that when the were in Houston!

All that band and they are just standing there!!!
Go Valley!! My second favorite SWAC school. JSU being the first. Go Tigers!
🤣🤣VALLEY CAME A LONG WAY!! They so COUNTRY BUT I LOVE IT 💚💚💚
🤣🤣🤣
They country just like Dega
@@dripsipp Honestly I'd listen to Dega and Valley before Alcorn... 🤣🤣🤣
Bonds im mad you used 2018 dega drill, you could’ve made some fresh . Still know you getting used to it tho, you got this.
Question..Where does Dega get there everything from..lol
Great Show Devils
Great job MVSU!!!! Im no band afficiando like some of the commenters, but i was entertained.

JSU still the best band in the land. Good job Valley!
Jsu always find a way to interject themselves in every conversation when nobody talking to them or about them. Every video JSU is this or that.smh
None of y'all was around last year, now yall all on us😮
Maybe ya'll improved and people are watching now MAYBE
Bruh, none of Y’ALL was there last year either and it shows in the lines. Looking forward to this program growing but it’s not time to brag yet lol

Why they got 50 drum majors ?
16 snare drummers
Why they got so many drum majors...
And 16 snares, like WHY??
big band. why does jackson have five?
@@lovealwayswins1218didnt jackson have damn near 16 like a year or 2 ago.
Do not bring attention to straight lines if you cannot hold them straight. Spread the band out and keep the instruments pointed towards the crowd.
4:18 Ain't no way you're in college band and can't march on the right foot Mr. Cymbal player!!😂😂😂
Everybody should not make fields lol
Put that left foot down on the drum beat.
Bonds needs to find his own style. He has Valley looking and trying to sound like a mixture of Southern and Dega.
