As an Avs fan I always respected iggy, then he came to play for us. Feel bad we couldn’t help him realize his Stanley cup dreams but a guy that you think of leadership he was one of those top guys with from his era that you say he helped guide young hockey players how to act. He deserves to be with the greats.
i enjoyed watching Iginla, one of those guys that could truly do it all, tough as nails, fearless leader. He was automatic 30+ goals a year for over a decade. Guy also had a cannon of a shot, wrist, snap, slap.

It was unreal man. Beyond electrifying! It felt like the entire city was friends with each other! Everyone was in flames gear. They'd be across the street and run over to give you a high five, talk some hockey, and seriously wish you all the best. No matter who you were, or if they'd of even looked at you twice a couple months ago. And even in the end, after we 'lost' the finals. We had a bigger parade than Tampa! Because we all just felt like with what we'd seen, and been a part of, we had won. Figuratively and literally!
