I lost my parents and was reading mom's journals; a lot of her writings were about her and dad's adventures through a place called seaport village, so I looked it up. Mom said it was her and dad's most favorite place in the whole world through the 80's 90's to 2006. Thank you for the tour.
I first visited Seaport Village as a kid in 87. I went back in 2010 and the nostalgia was real! I went back again in 2012 and I will be going back again next month while in town to catch a game. I'm very excited to get back there for the first time in over a decade!
I watched a couple vlogs for San Diego and yours is my favorite. I'm visiting San Diego in Nov and your vlog helped me narrow down where I want to go and explore. I've always enjoyed your other videos whether it's other cities, states, or countries. Helped me out so much, so I'm glad that every time I have to research on a place I want to travel to, I get a lot of great tips and guidance from you! I'm also staying at the Marriott Marquis there and it just seems like the most convenient location to explore different things for a short trip. Thanks!
Just across the parking lot is Hyett Hotel you pointed out. The elevator takes you to the top where there is an observation area with windows giving one of the best views of the bay. There is a bar area up there to the side of the viewing area, The hotel is OK for people and their kids to do a sneak peak. The view is to die for!
I actually went shopping in Seaport Village about 15 years ago. The place had very few stores at the time. Nice to see how much it has changed for the better. Great video!
Welcome to San Diego ! We always bring family and friends from out of town to Seaport Village. It’s beautiful at night right now with all the holiday lights . Happy holidays 🌲
I grew up going to Seaport Village all the time with my family, it’s such a great place! It looks like they’ve made some changes so I need to check it out! Thanks for the tour!
This video made my day! I heard rumors Seaport Village was closing down, being sold for the land. Glad to hear the place is getting "new blood" and building back better. My favorite shop is the hat store, every type of hat one could think of, LOL and many you would have never thought of even with a wild imagination.
Seaport Village has absolutely evolved over the years. The facades of the buildings are much more fresh-looking. I have grown up going to Seaport Village and whenever I would go to Seaport Village, I would always combine it with a trip up to the observation deck in the Manchester Grand Hyatt
I absolutely love San Diego’s Seaport Village; it has a great vibe to it. Those street vendors, on the other hand, have to go, they make the place look cheap. I agree, Mr. Moto’s NYC style pizza is wonderful. Those 3 hotels add a touch of luxury to the overall scenery. As far as I’m concerned, the Seaport Village and its surroundings offer the very best attractions in San Diego. If you have only a few hours to spend in San Diego hit the Seaport Village. An excellent job, as usual, Chris.
Amazing video Chris! Such good memories that you brought rushing back for me, I was fortunate to be in SD in 2019, loved every moment of being in the city and had some downtime after an event to do some local walking tours, enjoyed Seaport a lot. Keep up the good work, stay safe 🟡💛
Great video, Chris! I would love it if you take your wife and daughter to the Hotel del Coronado, and make a video, showing the hotel in all Of its holiday finery! The Christmas tree there is so gorgeous! Plus, they will have the ice skating rink set up by the beach!
Hi Chris. Thanks for the walking tour. I like to go shopping at these types of areas because I sometimes find unique things that I probably wont' find at the normal shopping malls. Take care.
Look I really like Seal Beach and Long Beach a lot but I kind of starting to like San Diego too. 🙈😃San Diego seems to be a nice place to live actually. Cute small shops there. And it was nice that you mentioned some of them from your childhood. Maybe some nostalgia for you when you visit Seaport Village.☺️After watching this video I saw the video of Carlsbad. And I so wish I could live there. What a wonderful place and no crowded with people on the beaches there. I was thinking that Seal Beach and Long Beach are the only two places I wanna visit but seeing this video and other from San Diego I changing my mind. California is really beautiful. ☺️🤗🌅🌊Hope you can do more videos from and about San Diego. Just a wish.☺️
October is a good month. Sometimes SD gets what they call the "Santa Ana" winds from the east that might make a bit warm with the desert air. That often happens in the September and October months
Sad to see the Bandstand Gazebo gone and then see the bookstore with the fantastic coffee shop gone, would go weekly there and sit in that now empty spot 11:06 and enjoy coffee and watching people go by it will be sad when they demolish all of this for the new design.
L.A. person here. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been down to San Diego in about 10 years. Maybe it's about time I jump in my car and zip down there for a few days.

Seaport Village is one of the best places in San Diego, On a Sunday afternoon it is one of the best relaxing points to take a stroll and grab a snack
Glad you agree Lance!
I love San Diego. I loved Torres Pines north of the city and the sunset is amazing here.
Torrey Pines is a really great hike!

Awesome! I hope you enjoy your return visit!
It’s nice seeing Seaport Village look more lively and nice from the last time I visited.

Chunky Monkey is the first Ben and Jerry’s flavor I ever tried! Delish! Love that wooden carousel at Seaport Village, too!

Yesss I stayed in the Manchester Grand Hyatt!!!!!
Great video as always!! 🤩🤩🤩
Funny. I was there today also. :)
Neat!
Awesome job chris
Not too many crowds there, It kind of makes me think of shoreline village.
A much much bigger shoreline village
Is Anthony’s Seafood Grotto still there? I loved going there to get fish and chips as a kid.
Nope... Anthony's is gone. It's now the Miguels/Brigantine complex
tney just had comic con this weekend.
Is mid October a good time to visit SD? We are looking to go this year 😄🤞

@@YellowProductions thank you!!
Is there any suggestions for a reasonable place to stay by the ussmiday? We going in January 😊
There's a Spring Hill Suites, Residence Inn, and Wyndham all within walking distance to the USS Midway
We were there yesterday (11/27)!
Interesting video. 👍🏻

San Diego has a newspaper?
Realy luck people those who was born in SD...
San Diegan's are pretty lucky indeed :)
L.A. person here. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been down to San Diego in about 10 years. Maybe it's about time I jump in my car and zip down there for a few days.
Time for a revisit!
16:53 lmao
I wish you would have shown more of the value and less of the walkway and parking lots
