@@saya4653 Yeah, I think it was when Alfred layed out Supes for beating on Bruce and getting another member of the Bat family killed. Alfred took it personally, roided up, and folded the former Boy Scout in half like he was a piece of laundry. Among other things said, disappointment was a topic of lecture Alfred spoke of.

It’s sorta interesting how Spider-Man death lead to sorrow while Batman’s death lead to great acceptance for the Batman’s deeds and how they’ll never forget him
Probably because in death, the people of new-york get to know peter parker like the readers do. His whole life, he's trapped in the hell that is being spiderman, not being able to be fully honest with people about who he was and what he's been doing his entire life. When he dies and the secrets are finally out and about, people know who he was now. He was just a person, he wasn't a symbol, he was a man and person just like them. Imagine just how shitty people would feel knowing the the person they've been smack talking for years was this good of a person, i'd feel bad.
It's the own-thing distinctions - DC folk are revered as gods, but struggle to _be human_ Marvel folk are treated as ordinaries, but struggle to _be greater_
Spider-man is more a kin to the symbol of hope. No matter how bad things can get, things can change for the better. The death of the symbol that embodied hope left the people with hopelessness and sorrow.
i think the difference between the two is that peter didn't choose to be this, but he was given this power and felt like he was purposely given it to help people. it was sort of a gift and a curse and in the end, he really is just a kid. so of course it would lead to sorrow, he has so much to live for, but he sacrificed all his time to help the innocent instead
I think because we can all see ourselves in Peter Parker. Not everyone is a billionaire, a lawyer, a demigod...but most people have been a kid with money troubles, relationship issues and big dreams. So when Spider-Man goes down fighting, we see a part of ourselves go down, and it's a part of ourselves we all wish we could see live on. It's the part of us that wants to help others just because we can, the part of us that keeps going no matter what. If Superman is an ideal to strive towards, Spider-Man is an ideal that we can live in now. If you have any power, no matter how small, you have a responsibility to use it to help others.
Tbh I’d want to see a crossover between the amazing Spider-Man 2022 and the ultimate Spider-Man (this comic he’s discussing) where ultimate MJ witnesses Goblin Spider, and realize it was AmAzing MJ’s fault cause she betrayed her love and got with Paul leading MJ to be furious on how this MJ could betray Peter after he sacrificed almost everything for her, leading to Ultimate MJ to save this Peter hoping that she won’t him again
Basically the ultimate universe was declining in sales so they started killing characters left and right, hence Spider-Man’s death, a major turning point was ultimatum where magneto killed billions including many hero’s like Wolverine and cyclops got assassinated when giving a speech.

That slap from May was probably one of if not the most painful hits that Cap ever took. Not because of the force but because of the reason behind it.
Really, a slap from Aunt May is like Alfred saying he is disappointed in you. Shit, even Supes never recovered from that one.
@@mq5731did Alfred really said that to superman? Is it in Injustice?

That scene between Aunt May and the little girl is one of the most powerful moments in all of Spider-Man comics.

My one question is that why doesn't spideys healing factor kick in?
Why does a Spider-Man death always hit harder than it should
