At first, I wasn't feeling this. But then after I heard the entire song, I gotta say I really enjoyed it. I like it when a Singer can go from the cleans, to nice guttural growls so seamlessly. I'm also not typically a huge fan of "operatic" vocals, because it can make songs seem really cheesy and gimmicky, but the band contrasts it very well with good song writing, structure and a powerful production that doesn't sound too clean. First time ever hearing this band, and gotta say good shit indeed good sirs. \m/ ( ._.) \m/
Not even easy to find on Century Media's website, but here it is, preorder on CD, vinyl, shirts, etc. www.cmdistro.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=barren+earth
Love the song, love the band, but their record label sold them a bit short here. I want to buy the album now. There should be a link to pre-order it, a release date, any info at all. Century Media wtf?
Orion - Machines (realy unknown, search at soundcloud), Heart of a Coward - Hope And Hinderance, and one song of The Haarp Machine, but I don't remember which one. The speech is totally awesome, btw. ;)
Extremely perfect. Barren Earth is always the best... One of the best songs of the year so far, probably the album too.
This is a beautiful song, the melody is perfect...
Saw these guys live in Manchester with Insomnium, they are incredible and the vocalists range is impressive. Brilliant, I love it
Never forgot, always awaiting for new music.
This album and particularly this song has been groving on me. Great melodies and great building of atmosphere for the crescendo towards the end.
Guys you are awesome, even after vocalist change you are still epic!!!!
I loved the tune having the greatest intro and nice 60's& 70's vibe during the song.
Barren Earth are a very Refreshing and Stimulating Band to listen to. i really like this song right here.
This SO awesome!!!!!
Very nice song, looking forward to the new album! The new vocalist sounds really good too. :)
Holy crap!! This song is amazing... Good choice on the new vocalist. Looks like Barren Earth is as strong as ever!
Sounds really good \m/

Holy shit is about right... no other words
Good job!
Im looking forward to hear their 3 full records. Im realy like BE - specially now where Opeth is more and more softly Prog. ;-)))
I'm a bit worried that the official website just redirects to here... Is the band still going on? :/ Can't find any news
Huikeaa! tätä on odotettu. Rumpusoundit.. huhhu!
Samaa mieltä soundeista!

Jón Aldará from Hamferd has incredibly awesome clean vocals in his band but in Barren Earth's music I will miss Kotamäki's vocals
I completely agree. Hope this means Mikko is focusing on Swallow The Sun.
This is still pretty sick though.
Dirge for November
I would rather he focus on kuolemanlaakso
Jón is by far superior to pretty much any singer, even Kotamäki. Við teimum kvirru gráu by Hamferð shows properly how talented Jón is.
...the opening riff is almost a carbon copy of Her Alone.
It's probably in the same key but the melody line is way different.
Thats the forth metal song i've heard which uses the Great Dictator speech.
Can you name others?

***** cool, timo tolkki on hymn of life use this speech too, really powerful song
Such a pity...these grunts. Bye.
+Freek Wolff And noone cared =D
Holy shit that man on the right looks exactly like Jaqen H´gar from GoT :D
i knew i recognized him! xD
Everything I've ever expected from this band is simply this 3:22
