The flying tiger , the only answer in the air at pearl harbor ,where 2 P40's successfully confronting hundreds of Japanese attack air craft . One of the most commonly used planes world wide by many different countries during WW2 . Claiming a great number of victories . A true work horse of the war an American history ! Don't forget although a little underpowered (it's mid 30s engine was shyte) the P40 was the mainstay in China too. An often overlooked workhorse fighter.
Great to see you guys build and fly this great warbird....my father was in the American Volunteer Group (AVG) Flying Tigers. Flew hundreds of hours in this plane (P-40B).. I hope you will have another P-40 flight and salute the AVG. I salute you guys for being friendly, happy and promoters of RC flying. Great job.

I had a plastic model version of the P-40 when I was a kid. This will be fun to see the maiden flight. A BIG SALUTE to the PETRINCIC BROTHERS AVIATION!
Dear buddies, I got this plane and just got it when you posted this video.I got 6 flights on it and it is spot on in flying no trimming needed on a 6S 4500 30C. 6.30 minutes flying time.Just had a couple of issues: one main wing scew could not be aligned and scewed into drilled fuselage hole. Main retractable gears did not work properly, but fixed with online support fom french distributor and chinese manufacture. Raccomendation reinforce tail of fuselage when glueing with carbon rods or BBQ sticks. No gyro needed, it lands like a doll, so easy. I started do execute some airbrush job on it and complete cockpit, seeking for a pilot figure.
What a fantastic plane... i know my brother would love to fly that beast. Such history... absolutely beautiful...

@@hughjohnston I cant. I dont fell three fingers and the hand hurts all the time. And its even more crazy before and during rain. And once its below 10 degress celzijus the hand gets so cold that its all blue pretty quick and hurts like hell. I will see in the next few months what will happen. But dont worry. Things will be better at the end. Cheers

Hi Capt. Robert & Blaz, today I will again get my P-40 flying over the Swiss Alps (hihihi). Will go for some more loopings and try cuban8 maneuvers. I will keep you posted. The ESC 60 Amp is for me as well as all of us so far a ???, but so far had no issue. Keep fingers crossed. Keep safe guys

Hi, Petrincic brothers. The P-40 is one of my favorite airplanes. Although it was overshadowed by planes later in the war, it was there at the beginning. It helped China fight the Japanese. It is a handsome looking plane. Not as beautiful as the P-51, but good enough to wear shark's teeth! Thanks for sharing! I will be waiting for the maiden! Stay healthy!

Do yourself a favor my friends and put a 80-100 amp esc. I would hate to see that beautiful bird in the air and the esc fail. There's no way a 60amp esc is big enough for a 2m plane. Just my opinion. Great video and beautiful plane as always. Looking forward to the maiden with this one. Ohhh yeeeaaaahhhhh.
I would go to 6.v onboard battery too.

6S give you less Amp's so 60amp esc is probably okay.
You can test it yourself on the gound You maybe only get 45A at max with 6S and that 290kv engine.

When I was growing up the bookkeeper at my Dad's business flew a P40 in the Pacific Theater, he would tell me stories from the war from time to time, very interesting.
It must have been pretty interesting to listen to him my friend. I can imagine.
