Description:
The Limited Edition Kingcraft Super Stearman is a beautifully finished and highly detailed scale model of this powerful aerobatic biplane. The Stearman is provided in an almost ready to fly format and with some specific assembly procedures to follow. Because of this, it is recommended for modelers with previous ARF assembly experience. Once built you will be rewarded with a stunning looking airplane that performs just like the full size when used with a 1200~1300W motor and 6S Lipoly battery. The detailing includes a realistic dummy engine, raised panels, authentic instrument panel, scale cockpit with pilot, detailed rigging, and dummy oleo struts, all this adds a touch of ultimate realism. Due to this being a "Limited Edition" there is only a certain number of kits available, so don't delay in acquiring one of these beautiful models to add to your collection.
Kingcraft has faithfully reproduced Susan Dacy's "Big Red" Super Stearman which is fitted with a fire-breathing supercharged 450hp Pratt and Whitney engine, this completely transformed its aerobatic capabilities over the original trainer version. The model is constructed mainly of balsa and plywood which is then finished in a high quality covering with most of the decals and trim pre-applied at the factory. Scale details such as the turtle deck, raised paneling, cowl, wheel pants, etc are made from either fiberglass sheet or fiberglass moldings. A very complete hardware pack is supplied which includes a polished aluminum spinner, main wheels, steerable tailwheel assembly, complete RC linkage set, nuts and bolts, and anything else necessary to complete the model. You will only require, glue, motor, ESC, battery, and RC equipment.
Due to the Stearman having a very short nose, a unique removable fiberglass battery tray has been designed to allow the battery to be installed as far forward as possible. This tray is held in place with a thumbscrew and removes the need for any extra ballast to obtain the correct C of G. To fit the aluminum spinner you will require a brushless motor with a reversed shaft, please see related products for the recommended Propdrive motor.

Pilot Robert, the camera was missing Captain Blaz's unnecessary zooming, so it decided to zoom on it's own. When it does that you must point it at a tractor or your watch or something else that has nothing to do with the video. That's how Captain Blaz gets the camera to behave. Beautiful Stearman!👍 We are having temperatures in the 60's in California, but I never thought you would have such a beautiful day in a Slovenian winter! What a great day to fly r/c!😃

One beautiful plane and I think with a proper motor angle and balanced prop it will fly and sound smoother. Blaz did a great job on the maiden. I was worried for a moment that his blonde hair might get in his eyes from prop wash but he handled it nicely. We love us some wido's and some brothers from Slovenia ....... Russ NC/USA

Wonderful flight and most skillful building by Capt. Blaz..A challenge for the enthusiast..not a trainer! Pilot Robert is right though. 10/10 for appearance. Better when the nitromethane beast sings up front, I reckon.. Grrr..

Nice plane. The sound of the prop when it flew over the camera was really nice.
We love it.
You might be able to balance the spinner using a prop balancer and bits of duct tape on the inside of it to get the balance, that method has worked for me and it definitely helps to have a balanced spinner - - also, the spinner should have enough clearance so that it does not touch the propeller, you might need to clearance it a bit more before balancing - - anyway - - NO MATTER! The plane is BEAUTIFUL! Great job building it and great job flying it Captain Blaz - I loved the entire maiden flight, especially how it came in so nice for the landing ! Nice camera work too Pilot Robert! Thanks for putting a big smile on my face ( :

Very nice flight. Another nice video, but I saw that the transparent plastic that the decals are on is still there. You can safely remove it and the decals sit as if they were printed on the surface.

Can I suggest at the end of the strip, a “procedure turn” is easier if you do 90° turn first, followed by 270° opposite direction turn.

This inspires me. It's embarrassing to admit that in the 1960's as a kid I flew control line and built balsa planes. I 've always love scale models from the days of magazines till now. But I've never flown RC. I've had planes and transmitters that collected dust. So now I have a new transmitter and simulator program. Just gotta figure out how to hook it all up and I may actually learn how to fly. Beautiful. I watch you guys all the time, but an extra salute goes to you and this plane.

I like the way Captain Blaz flew scale for this planes maiden. There may be a problem but the plane sounded very real on a few of those passes. I think that the plane's construction acts like a reverberator much more so than with a foam plane.

Salute Captain Robert & Captain Blaz for getting this bird in the air so quick after the unboxing. It was an excellent maiden of the Stearman. She looks great, maybe a little tail heavy. Once that vibration is eliminated she will be a 10/10 and perform some amazing aerobatics I think.

Stunningly beautiful plane! A very graceful flyer but it looked slightly tail heavy. But as Captain Blaz' post flight assessment, it could be corrected by adjusting how the engine is mounted. But hey, excellent flight nonetheless! Keep flying, Petrincic Brothers!!! 😀❤
This is the 4th time I have watched this amazing video. I can't wait to see this incredible Stearman with the downthrust adjusted (hint!) It's going to look EVEN MORE realistic with the extra directional positivity.. One of the most beautiful model aircraft I have seen in 50 years of observation..

Great video fellas! One thing I noticed...the prop is touching the spinner. That will cause vibration for sure...the blades can make contact with the backplate, but not the spinner itself.

Since take off it looks tail heavy.Add some weight in the nose. After that, if you throtle up andit climbs like crazy, add some down thrust in the motor. Quality of the model is really impressive. Congrats Cpt Blas! This time it didn't steer too much to the left!
