A fan for 39 years now. First album I ever listened from Maiden was Piece of Mind, back in 83. The day I listened to them for the first time was the day my life changed completely. I remember when Behind the Iron Curtain VHS was released and it was a thrill. They were at their peak. What a fantastic band. 39 years later here I am, ready for the next 39 years. Up the fuckin´ Irons !!!
Just look at how young they were during this period, they were constantly touring during this time, once number of the beast was released they were on a roller coaster never descending for years. Tour, studio, rehearsal, tour! Amazing band .
Vor 40 Jahren als das Album heraus kam war ich total geflasht.Absolut überragend. Hätte nie gedacht, das das Album die ersten beiden nochmals übertrifft zumal der Sänger ausgetauscht wurde.
It feels like he "messed up" the first half and just bailed on it all together and improvised into that killer rendition. Even when they "miss" it just turns into a new version of the song.
People just lose their minds at maidens music, it's sooo emotional and great, I lost my mind in 2016 when I saw them at the Tacoma dome, everyone there was losing their minds. Just a phenomenal experience. Adrian smith wrote 22 acacia avenue when he was 18 years old, just amazing.

Great song and amazing to maiden playing there. Not many bands have done what they've achieved during there tours. Bruce does look tired that night though. Bless them all. Fucking love the maiden machine. Xxx
Man the polish know how to attend a gig lol that guy really enjoying himself at the 4.30 Mark is priceless. Got to see iron maiden in Sheffield England last year it was amazing but I would have loved for them to have played this song as it's one of my favourites.
That solo sounded awesome as Dave's solos always do , I noticed a little was improvised from the actual solo on the album but it still sounded excellent
***** Adrian has a more creative kind of soul. He invents great rhythms, lyrics and melodies. Dave on the other hand has mastered the art of legatto, adding his blues knowledge to it. Dave always made the show while Adrian was the brain behind everything :)
Used to like Dave when first getting into Maiden as a teen, but now I prefer Adrian. Both great guitarists. Love Dave's legato style but prefer Adrian's solos and playing overall. Also, the outro solo to this song is too good!
@@danielgonzaleztejedor9486 Yes I knew they did...I actually have chatted with a guy that used to work at the Lado shop during this time and said that Adrian Dave n Steve were super nice fellows when they came in to give their specs. Live behind the iron curtain. The video features footage of the band on the road in Eastern Europe in 1984, performing concerts in Poland, Hungary, and Yugoslavia as part of the World Slavery Tou
@@ianpotts3819 man that is cool. If you ever watch "Heavy Metal Parkkng Lot" I was at that concert. It was a Judas Priest concert at the Capital Centre just outside of DC. Man those days were the best!
wow cool video ! I wish they would've released a full European version of live after death,,,,side 4 is much better performances than the long beach stuff :)
True. But the recording at Long Beach was very unlucky, because they filmed two of the four shows they played, and both were filmed when Bruce got ill. But if you listen to the CD-version (from the two other shows) Bruce sound like a god! Espacially on "Hallowed Be Thy Name" which he hadn't performed on that level since Beast over Hammersmith :o
Да, Брюс тут явно не в голосе. Скорее всего поляки не пожалели хлеб- соль- бухло. Но Мюррей явно в форме, молодчага, впрочем как и Харрис, который по сей день на высоте!!!!!

Ianspiegel His voice is not at its best here. Constant touring and crude eighties monitoring equipment forced him to sing at the very top of his lungs every night in order to hear himself and obviously that took a toll on his voice, which was at its worst during the Seventh Son tour in 1988. Also, the band recorded and toured pretty much non-stop the whole decade, so naturally some nights the band may be less enthusiastic than others. I still thought it was a good performance, Adrian's solo is spot on!
Yeah, I know their schedules were absolutely brutal back then! Still, the fact that he made it through that hectic era, and came back sounding as powerful as he does now is a true testament to how much of a pro he is.
But these dates were still early in the World Slavery Tour. He almost reached a decision to quit the band at the end of it, but that was in min 1985. This was in 1984. It's probably due to the audience being different than what he was used to at the time, besides, I don't think the eastern bloc had been exposed to much rock music at that time either.
