You are now my favorite chef, you are the best. I’ve been cooking for over 50 years, a culinary school graduate and restauranteur and I thought I could cook, well I know better now. Tried the red beans and rice with sausage and ham hocks and put it with the mustard have muthafrickin cornbread and damn near died !!!!!!! I had to add a jar of sweet tea followed by a shot peach shine and I died and went to heaven . I slapped everybody in the damn house 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like that lower sodium Cajun seasoning. You can ad more flavor, without having a stroke. I stopped using my old favorite, you get enough on it to see it, and you mess around and get it too salty.
Damn that looks good man. I was raised on white beans with ham hocks and corn bread. Take the big chunk of cornbread, put butter all over it. Then pour beans, ham and juice alllllllll over it. Heaven in a bowl. Thanks for the great video good sir. 👍
I made this recipe tonight. Only thing I did differently was browned the meat in bacon grease and added celery. It was freaking amazing! Made the MF’cornbread too but had a few beers and forgot to add honey. It still tasted good.
Usually cook my red beans first then our brown rice separate for a couple of hours before we start with the meat. Cook our corn bread in a cast iron skillet. Plenty of Cajun Hot Sauce. Yours look good.
I like Cajun and Creole. But I remember my grandpa use to cook pinto beans and hammocks in on of those large terracotta jars. Right on the stove. It would cook all day long until those beans an hammocks were tender and falling of the bone. 😋😋😋😋😋 God it was go. Though I don't remember if he served it with rice 🤔
Here in South Mississippi we put smoked deer sausage in our red beans, and white beans. It's alot better than that ham hock. I only use those when I'm out of deer sausage.
You cook exactly like I do, only thing missing w/me is I don’t cook outside I’d love that, I’m disabled now so it would be too hard to maneuver around outside like you do. Ooo Wee that looks damned good!
Man y’all better show this man some love, he going up on da Tube just watch. He said u got to have that MF cornbread 😂😂I clicked da subscribe button. I’m out here Trucking; so I love my country Folks
Good day to thee, esteemed gentleman. Thou hast stirred within me a craving for cornbread. Amidst these tumultuous days, it proves a delightful diversion to relish a modest repast accompanied by cornbread.
What part of Louisiana did yall move from and what may yall decide to move from Louisiana to Arkansas? I'm from Louisiana myself and live in Texas now and I sure do miss living in louisiana
I just like the idea of red beans and rice. Your cornbread looks so good. I just don't care for hotsauce. I really hadn't thought to put sausage in it. Have to try it. Summer sausage or smoked sausage or polish sausage?
I can't wait to try making this, I'm in Australia and I've been cooking almost my whole life but I've never had red beans and rice OR that mf cornbread. I'll make sure when I make it, I come back here and let you know how I did!

I'd love to see how you season your cast iron... No matter how good mine seems to be, onions happen to destroy the seasoning every time.
I love your videos I just wish they were more longer and complete but over all I would love to see more and more videos from you
