The error “Printer driver is unavailable” means that the driver installed against your printer is either not compatible or is outdated. It may also mean that the driver is corrupt and the computer fails to recognize it.
That shouldn’t be the case for Windows 10, but it certainly is for some users who tried installing printer drivers after migrating to Windows 10.

This error message keeps coming up. Have deleted and reinstalled printer multiple times. Printer works one time then reverts to same message. Any other tips to fix would be great. Thanks

You could also completely uninstall the printer off your computer. I re added my printer manually through the host ip address and found a similar driver associated with my printer or you could also download the specific one off the internet. I was able to print right away

To those who might’ve the same problem as me (especially if your printer is second-hand)
If your just setting up the printer it should have a disk where you can download the driver but since mine is second-hand i just had to search my printer version’s driver in google. If you’re unsure what driver to download, there are alot of videos on yt on how to download printer drivers online!

why can't printers just work... ran out of ink... so ordered some more, was getting ink error codes on my HP printer, turns out the cartridges would only work if you register them and subscribe to a payment plan, reorder some new ink cartridges (ones that don't require a subscription), print test page all good! now pc won't recognize my printer! so go through the faff of removing it and readding it only to now be greeted with a driver unavailable message!!
