All the best with the show, lads. I'll be in to see you on the weekend. You'd better get revising if you want to get into the country next time: Q- Which Scottish town was most recently occupied by an invading English force? A- St Andrew's, during Freshers' week. Q- What was created in Dundee and has entertained generations of Scottish children? A- Grand Theft Auto Q- Which of the following were invented in Scotland... "All of them" A- I hadn't finished, but correct. Q- Which endangered species has been preserved in a multi-million pound enclosure in Edinburgh? A- The Scottish Conservative party Q-- Which question has caused the most conflict in recent Scottish history? A- What are you looking at? Enjoy the fringe, and no, I don't want a flyer.
The Scottish didn't invent everything. We Aussies invented wifi, car radios, push mowers and pacemakers. Pretty much everything else is Scottish though, including the concept of capitalism.
I‘m on holiday in Scotland (sadly only until tomorrow), and one thing I’ve noticed is how friendly everyone is. You feel right at home! I like it a lot here
@@ericpraline Everywhere like where? Are you an ethnic Yank native USian of USA America? If so I could understand that then, but if you're a Frenchman, then France must be a very unfriendly country or wherever you come from to think Scots are overly 'friendly' everywhere, most actual real Scots don't live in the touristy areas, Scots number about 600,000 in Edinburgh but during the Fringe this doubles to more than a million when the foreigners come to fund the economy during the month of August most years before they go back home or where they originally came from, so during that time, most foreigners who visit Scotland don't really see a lot of Scots or the real Scotland and if they did see some Scots, they barely understand them anyway, but they see the dressed up touristy Scotland with all the stereotypes, with bells and whistles attached etc. Scotland is mostly a decent country in some ways but in others not so much, but for what it is good at, there is a reason for that, because it's not a cosmopolitan community like London, it retains much of its self, tradition and people etc. If it was cosmopolitan, it would end up being another London full of foreigners and/or segregated communities for the children of all foreigners.
@@steveburnside3242 I‘m Swiss, and while people are friendly here, too (albeit somewhat reserved), and my experiences with abroad (Europe only, so far) have been good-especially the French open up if they see that you’re actually trying to communicate in their language-, but it was a different kind of ‚friendliness‘, if I may, that we encountered in Scotland. We visited Edinburgh (just before the Fringe, and even then the many touristy shops and the „authentic“ folklore were somewhat annoying. Also, we went to Glasgow and stayed in Perth for a bit. (What I’m impressed about is that even in supermarkets people were really friendly and helpful despite having every right not to after a long day. I’ve encountered staff before who just say ‚there‘ roughly and point because apparently you’ve interrupted a vital task and you’re not worth their time.)

All the best with the show, lads. I'll be in to see you on the weekend. You'd better get revising if you want to get into the country next time:
Q- Which Scottish town was most recently occupied by an invading English force?
A- St Andrew's, during Freshers' week.
Q- What was created in Dundee and has entertained generations of Scottish children?
A- Grand Theft Auto
Q- Which of the following were invented in Scotland...
"All of them"
A- I hadn't finished, but correct.
Q- Which endangered species has been preserved in a multi-million pound enclosure in Edinburgh?
A- The Scottish Conservative party
Q-- Which question has caused the most conflict in recent Scottish history?
A- What are you looking at?
Enjoy the fringe, and no, I don't want a flyer.
hahahahahahaha!!
Don't give up the day job just yet 🙈😬
Scottish conservative party 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
The Scottish didn't invent everything. We Aussies invented wifi, car radios, push mowers and pacemakers. Pretty much everything else is Scottish though, including the concept of capitalism.
-What do you call one Scot?
A scot
-What do you call two Scots?
A pair
-What do you call three or more Scots?
A civil war
You three absolutely bring a smile to my day! Love your talent, every time!
I am a Scotsman and I endorse this video👍🏼
As a Scotland fan, I'd suggest you guys to check out a Scottish comedy show called "Still Game". You'll be pissin' yerself
I‘m on holiday in Scotland (sadly only until tomorrow), and one thing I’ve noticed is how friendly everyone is. You feel right at home! I like it a lot here
That's not how it really is, that's just the touristy parts of Edinburgh, that foreigners go to.
@@steveburnside3242 we were elsewhere, too
@@ericpraline Everywhere like where?
This made me even more excited for my holidays and for your show 🥳👏👏 Thanks for all the tipps, lads! That'll help us be allowed out of the airport in no time!
Enjoy the shows 🙌
Enjoy your holiday Nicole!
@@foilarmsandhog thank you! See you soon 😊
I love the characters' coordinated outfits 😄
All the best for your new show!
Omg I didn't even notice 😂 thank you ^^
you missed "what goes down as the worst date in Scottish history?"... 1966... we never hear the f-in' end of it!
my brother introduced me to you lot and you didnt disappoint me in any of your sketches.. excellent research and spot on delivery .. love it guys ..
Stayed awake to watch this..always looking forward to your weekly videos. Hope you guys know, you are simply the best! ❤️
Ah nice one! Sleep well
Once had to travel to Aberdeen during Fringe. Had drive through the night because every room eas book from Carlyle to...well, Aberdeen.
So, yeah...
At least yee came to a diplomatic answer on the big Whiskey question 🤣 And the jab at Frankie Boyle as well!
Thanks for the sketch, funny how you incorporated the Fringe at the end! And I loved seeing your venue in the outro, too. Good luck (not that you need it)!
Ah thanks so much!
Aww how lovely!
Where are you from freeindeed? (by that of course I mean, when is your next FAH gig?) 😃
@@SamFAHntha I'm in the US (California), so my next gig is in November 😊
The whiskey answer should be included in Diplomats training worldwide
Ich auch, für dich!!! 😃😊❤️
@@SamFAHntha ❤️
Still can't believe i met you guys at one of your shows in April, and when Hog smacked me on the head with my notepad after asking for a signaturem🤣🤣🤣
haha he tends to do that
😂😂😂
Coming to see u guys at the fringe! Mad excited!!
Ahhhh that's AWESOME Kath!!! Have the bestest time!!! 🥳😊
The reply from immigration officer after each answer was the best compared to other officers in other videos
It's been a minute since yall showed up in my feed. Not disappointed one bit. Good luck at the festival lads
Your command of the Scottish accent is second to none!
Those questions! Those answers! The look or your faces when the first question is asked the second time is a killer!
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
You can just imagine the interviewers anger face
This is brilliant.
I can't believe this, I'm litrally driving round the edge of Edinburgh whilst the fringe is happening... always wanted to go and see you lads there... but we couldn't find anywhere to camp!!! Or park for that matter... have a great time lads!!!
Whaaa? Oh no!! Rent a car and park on someone's lawn if you have to!!! 😂
@@SamFAHntha it's so close... but yet so far... I dred to think what a nightmare driving round Edinburgh would be like anyways
Brilliant, and nice twist with the plug for the show.
Oh lads, this makes me look forward to coming to Edinburgh even more - I promise to do my best to get Miri's necessary isolation to be done/finished asap!!
Hope to see you both as soon as possible!
@@Gemma.618 Looking forward to seeing youse too!
You can do it J
Such a pity it's taking you longer now! I hope you'll get here in E. soon!
Arms, are there any accents you haven't already nailed? I keep wondering if the next country sketch can even come close to the previous one, and you put out an even better, more funny one. 😂♥️
Good luck for the Fringe!
I fairly murdered the italian one in fairness, but the canadian one is the one i'm most proud of!
Spanish immigration maybe?
@@foilarmsandhog As a Canadian, I agree, your 🇨🇦 accent is exceptional👌🏼👏🏻😄
Let him try a Latvian or Estonian accent 😀 Those are very specific, with very clearly pronounced consonants and an unusual melody to it that is hard to nail, a bit like Swedish but different 😃
@@foilarmsandhog naw, you did fairly well with the italian accent, all things considered!
Another masterpiece :)! Loved the accent and the facial expressions Foil was making trying to understand it :) Thank you for the laugh as always .
Oh! So THAT‘S why Foil had the gormless expression! I‘d wondered😂
I love these guys. 😂😂😂 I'm so glad I was guided to your channel. Sending love from Los Angeles, California.🙏🏿💖
Scottish here, that moment when you answer the questions with the same answers! Can confirm accurate video 😂
As always a great sketch 👏 But poor Travis, they're a great band!
That Scottish accent wasn’t too bad too be fair, I feel as though you could occasionally hear it slipping in to Irish but all around not bad
Saw Hogwash last night, cracking show lads
Cheers Pal
Got to love how in every sketch, they look at one another at the start.
Also, the monster part is specifically because of what he said on Mock The Week, wasn't it?
Looking forward to seeing Hogwash in person next Friday! Wanted to see you in Portsmouth in 2020 but COVID hit :/
I would love to see "Getting pass Mexican immigration" sketch!!! So many material for a 10 minutes sketch for sure!
I llike how they pay close attention to every question asked. These guys really like to visit Scotland
Lovely to meet you last night after your amazing first show last night! This sketch fits so well. Brilliant Frankie Boyle joke there! 😂 xx
Thanks Mija! You can thank Hog for that particular joke
- Which nation invented whisk(e)y?
- ... not England.
- I'll accept that.
This is my fave immigration sketch yet!!!! I laughed so hard and genuinely wondered how they were gonna get out of tge Whiskey question 🤣🤣🤣 The acting was so good! And I loved that Arms had a real character in this one, lol. When he said Fring was the biggest pain in the arse I 1000% believed him! 🤣🤣🤣 Have fun in Edinburgh lads!
We watched your show last night. We had a great time! My wife loved the luggages sketch.
1: The whiskey answer was absolute comedy gold.
2: As a former citizen of Edinburgh, my lord is that true. I loved the city to bits, except for the festival months... *shudders*
That would be...whisky.
Thanks for letting me know about your shows at Fringe. I am going next week.
Proud to be Italian and thus having contributed to Scotland's greatest victory !
I'm booked to come and see you later in the month. Can't wait!
…it must have been painful to answer the whiskey question!😂
I hope you had a great start of the Fringe festival! I am so looking forward to seeing your new show next week!🤩
Anything to get in!
@@foilarmsandhog if the immigration officer had read the subtitle he'd have had a different reaction! Think you showed your true colours there lads.
I think I'd have answered "depends on how you spell it."
The bit about the Old Firm being boxing almost killed me.😂
Hi Arms, best of luck with all the fringe shows. So sad I can't be there but I'm sure you'll be absolutely amazing! I have another would you rather question for ya, would you rather speak fluently in 16 languages or be able to communicate with animals? Thanks in advance
Ah animals! for sure!!
Requesting another would you rather question for him next week please 😁🥺
