I have learned a lot on your channel keep it up with the great work. I also learned that people from Georgia never replace the smoke detector batteries 😂
I can appreciate this video. I stay in a mobile home and have the same exact setup. Also new to the trade only been working for a year in a couple months after trade school
Those are such a pain. I wish they just had a notch in that panel that the coil sits on so you wouldn’t have to run the line set and drain up into that hole. Some of the newer ones do.
Hey Curtis, this isn't me armchair quarterbacking. I'd really like to know, or maybe if we have some professional pipefitters in here. I've noticed you generally put your swags up. Makes for an easy braze, but back when I was in school, we were told to put the swags down so the condensate rolled over the bell and down so it didn't sit on the braze. Have you ever heard of that, is it just not necessary, or is there anything in the codes that addresses it?
one thing I would suggest is to stop using soap bubbles from a spray bottle. It was designed to do the hairpins on a coil to soak the area then use the dauber on the wetted tubes. Leaks are missed all the time when you depend on a spray bottle. You'll also note the soap solution will last 6 times longer (using less) and not leave a big soapy mess. even micro leaks can be seen with the dauber when its held in place on the joint. You should only need 40-50 PSI to show a leak. When you find one, don't dump the nitrogen till you bubble test the other joints while its still pressurized. The final pressure test shouldn't require more than 150 PSI, unless your leak checking with your hearing. The brazing shield / blankets, are also made by Lynn Co, same guys that make the Kwool furnace refractory material. Its aluminum on one side and white refractory on the other. This makes it easy to shape around wires or pipes. I've had the black stuff pop a hole thru, although not the white stuff. I always spray down the area with a water bottle and have a fire extinguisher a few feet behind me just in case. A senior tech taught me this in the 90's while brazing on a Carrier dehumidifier and the insulation had some oil residue on it and it flashed over the whole unit in a second. The extinguisher was a CO2 and quickly put it out but it was scary how fast it flashed over the whole unit. I learned its never easy to find a fire extinguisher when you need one.
Thanks for the video I enjoyed the uncut video to see the issues you had and how you fixed them. I do however have a question why didnt you fix your sensing bulb or does it not have to be fixed into the suction line?
I never seen you secure thermobulb which will cause low superheat and higher than normal suction pressure but great job and got the exact same coil going in Moble home this weekend. Old one is capillary set up for R22 and they have 410 heatpump and new coil to change this weekend
Hi we have a 920 sq ft double wide, built in 1999 with R22 HVAC unit. It’s an INTERTHERM. Vaporizer iced up and was wondering if we could just replace the top a/c unit on the furnace and the outside unit. Any feed back is appreciated.
Just when we thought you were already too Busy and you mention you have a Spanish Speaking Channel. First time I’ve heard someone having 2nd Channel. 👍
okay, i have a question. If both Evaporator lines have connectors, can't you just undo those to replace a unit? Then connect, have service man test and fill?
I need to do this. I can afford the unit but not labor. I have questions. 😢

Do you leave all the leaves and stuff that builds up under the units, a small blower would sort this out and make the units clear of combustible stuff, just a housekeeping thought.😊
Thats nice the way you put the filter drier out instead of having it inside , im gonna try doing it that way from now on instead of struggling with putting the new one inside again 🫡💯🔥

Thanks for a very detailed video!!
Excellent job Curtis 👍
Thanks 👍
That looks like the coil I changed last week unbelievable identical ❤ nice job 😊
Nice job Curtis, Happy Easter, do go easy with the chocolate Easter Eggs 😉 Au
AND we have another battery deficient smoke detector!

Thank you Curtis, the knowledge is invaluable.
Glad it was helpful
Sure do enjoy your videos. Thanks for the early treat!
Glad you like them!

Great as always, thank you Sir
Very welcome
Nice work Curtis. Happy Easter to you and your wife.
Thanks! You too!
great work 🔥
Thanks 🔥
@@HVACGUYyou charge in the liquid line when system is completely off correct?
The battery copper cutters would work a treat to cut out that vapour line at the coil
Need to change the flint in your striker 😊😊 good job buddy and happy Easter 😊
Thanks
No forgiveness required Curtis...Happy Easter good man..😁
must be a shortage of 9v batterys in your area 🤣 every video beep beep 🤣
No, just a shortage of willingness to help oneself.
@@HVACGUY i enjoy your videos im hoping to join the hvac trade as a retirement job
How can they stand it? Especially when sleeping!! Argghhh people, get off your butts and accomplish something simple!!

Why is it when we find a leak, we still pump half a bottle of leak detector on the leaking joint😂

Nice 👍🏼 job as always.
Thanks again!
Great videos 😊
Thanks
Good video tech
Thanks
Excelent video Mr Curties with mistakes n all !
What veto bag you using for holding your torch kit with? I like that and want to do something similar.
Think that’s the mb4b
I'd like to know why you switched the dryer from the inside to the outside of the condenser
Much easier to service and change
I agree in part, driers are to be installed just prior to the TXV "inside" they also don't rust there.
I'm surprised he doesn't use the new crimp instead of actually having to solder connect
the zoom lock fittings are crazy expensive
Isopropyl alcohol to clean out that sensor !
BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....ETC... HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH
I had to speed up the video.
41:33 - Out loud: “Who put that thing on there so tight?!” Under his breath: “Uh, I did.”
What model torches do you have? Id like to know if my Victor torches would fit in a backpack like that? Is the bag your using the mb4b?
Yes, I think that was originally uniweld. In the backpack is just the oxy/acetylene tanks

Question why do you not use Harris flux ?
Curtis, is it better with a txv or piston
Txv is more efficient. But more problematic
Piston is Best in Rental properties. Less calls though.
What is that Chirping bird that follows you around, it's in every video.
