I don’t mean to be argumentative but the netting team really need to get some training. That’s possibly the worst effort of a netting you could possibly witness.
Fishing down the edge as close to the bank as you can so the fish can't get the back of the float, then you see the undercut in this pool....wow!!! ..Thanks Jamie, bit of an eye opener and a rethink.....👍
If there's carp in it the carp are doing it,they feed off the bugs an worms that they find while they wear away the edges,I've watched them doing as a kid growing up at a lake nearby, mass of carp actually chewing away at the edges
Brilliant video. So interesting to see the work involved, the fish removed and layout of the banking. Can’t wait to see it when all the water out and where / how it will be changed.
Get it all planted up with carex riparia and yellow flag iris once the banks have been rectified and undercut removed. AE fisheries can supply both species. You wont get any issues with water erosion then and both can easily be cut back in late autumn. Will look stunning 👍🏻
Love seeing the big silvers that are hidden in these lakes. Im sure someone could figure out a method to get right back under those banks. Think youd win quite a few matches before other anglers and the fish wise up.
Love these videos its amazing what you find when ponds are empty i helped my local fishery last year empty a pond crazy how many fish there is and some day's you cant even catch 1 lol will you be doing a mini series of the work they doing
Awesome video as always Jamie. Can't beleive just how dangerous those banks look when the water was lowered. Can certainly see now you lose fish with all those roots about in the margin.
Wow Jamie that's a great insight into what lies beneath just can't believe how many big perch there are in there and how many evaded you last week lol😂😂😂
@@CatchFishingChannel I had a perch out of high pool yesterday at tunnel barn farm whilst catching f1s it was over 2lb on a single red maggot over micros lol
Fascinating Jamie, thanks for sharing. Were there any eels? There were some bigs ones in Bonsai when they worked on that lake. Didn’t see any tench either?
I caught a flash of an absolutely huge fish in the net at the10:23 mark. This fish was easily five times the size of anything you told us as of yet, and no mention of it? 'Twas a light brown gigantic fish in the net.
Silverfish are your smaller fish like skimmer bream, roach, rudd, gudgeon etc. F1’s are a type of hybrid carp that are a bit smaller, normally a match fishing fish as they are easy and quick to catch with a pole. Perch are Perch 👍🏻 hope that helps somewhat.
Fab video Jamie really enjoyed it. As someone who fishes this complex a lot in winter and spring its great they are making a deeper lake. It would be great if they restocked Strip as a silvers only pond - then they could have some great silver fish matches without the fear of getting seen off by a carp which seems to happen a lot in those kind of matches. After all there's plenty of other ponds with carp in there. Beeches looks like the place to go for the next few weeks!
Either Get rid of the carp or regrade the banks lay in road fabric and put stone riprap on top of the fabric and you won’t have the problem of undercut banks.
Very interesting. Though (and granted I have no idea what Im talking about) it does seem very inefficient to pull any net through without covering the whole depth. I was actually disappointed with the low amount of fish in the first half scoop there, expected a lot more. To hear a sweep is done knowing it wasn't hitting bottom seems odd to me, must be about a 20%/sweep catch rate at best. So, for my understanding, I assume there is good reason not to just get the level low enough and drag the pond top to bottom?
If they're fixing those banks back to the width they were before they'll be needing a good few truck loads of clay. I've seen people just smash the overhangs down, plant a load of Iris and call it good, leaving the lake wider, with less and less bank to sit on as they repeat the process each time, not the best idea when it's just a thin strip separating lakes.
An interesting vid spoilt with stupid unnecessary annoying music, what ever makes you think people want to hear that noise..the vid is what people tune in for ..not the music
Why would anyone want to fish such a boring, featureless and characterless lake. May as well be fishing in a bath. What’s a silverfish, not a UK species I’ve ever heard of?
Thanks for watching everyone and watch out for my follow-up video showing how they are sculpting and stocking the lake again :)
I don’t mean to be argumentative but the netting team really need to get some training. That’s possibly the worst effort of a netting you could possibly witness.
I find things like this more interesting than the majority of carp fishing videos. Well done.
Thanks you Samuel I'll do my best to produce more like this :)
you learn something new everyday ! amazing finds 🤯 🎣
Hopefully some more great finds to follow!

How does this work looool

Haha yes I'm sure lots of lakes are like that all over the country aren't they Paul :)
Really interesting, especially the undercut banks, you would just never see that.... can't wait to see how they progress in re-sculpting the lake
Thanks Andy!

Thanks for a very interesting video. Helps to highlight the time and costs involved in managing these waters.
Thanks Andrew!
Very interesting to see what comes out of a fishing lake and can't wait to watch them repair and dig lake out. Thanks for sharing 👍✌️
Thanks Keith!
Great video Jamie very interesting watch, look forward to see how the lake develops, some fantastic silver fish
Thanks Robert!

Great video Jamie look forward to more very interesting
Lot of hard cold work managing these lakes. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, hope you had a great new year mate!
@@CatchFishingChannel Lots of fishing planned, may well get back down to Lindholme and the Trent etc. Tight lines, all the best for 2024 Jamie.
looks like there are plenty of undersized fish . the perch are very impressive . cool content
Cheers Jamie, Really interesting , Mad how far under the bank those undercuts are, Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Kris mate!
Nice one Jamie very interesting😊
Thanks Reg!

Thanks for sharing really interesting to see how many silver fish in strip
Thanks for watching!
Love these videos! It's fascinating to see what is in there and what is happening in the lake
Wow wow wow 😮
Nice opperation fellas

Love this Kind of vid
Reckon you'll be finding a couple of topkits this year. Bonsai was a bit of a let down on the lost tackle front last year.
Haha I hear that 'seats' have been the main item found mate

Yeah that's why they are rescuplting them but it's always nice to see lakes like this empty isn't it mate :)
Lost a no 6 shot there last yrs if u find it let me know 😮
Wow Jamie that's a great insight into what lies beneath just can't believe how many big perch there are in there and how many evaded you last week lol😂😂😂
Haha thanks Scott yes it did rub a bit of salt in the wounds haha ;)

No I never saw or heard of any eels but there were a couple of Tench and some Barbel mate
Hi jamie great video have u got any idea what fish is going back in and from where
Thanks Mark the owner says it's going to be a mixed lake mate

Used to love fishing strip before they opened bennys
Someone help me, what are silverfish, F1’s and what kind of perch?

@@EnGBudden Thanks dude! 👍
The lake as a whole is a lot older than 20 years. It was a huge lake partitioned off over 20 years ago.
Fab video Jamie really enjoyed it. As someone who fishes this complex a lot in winter and spring its great they are making a deeper lake. Nice one thanks Rob mate!
It would be interesting to see the whole process of fixing up the lake
Consider me subscribed!
Great watch Jamie, out of curiosity what pegs were the deepest?
Thank you and I'm not sure but I think the roadside was mate
I want to do this you our pond to see what kind of fish are in it. Unfortunately there’s too much debris on the bottom of it to pull a net through.
TRENDING!!!
🙌🙌
Wonder how much he paid for it

Carp make holes and trenches
Those nets wil pull over the trenches and holes
Thank you Jamie enjoyed That shame it wasn't a longed video,
Thanks James I'll be following it up with a video about them digging it out and restocking mate
look forward to it Jamie@@CatchFishingChannel
good vid, nice edit
Great upload! Sorry to be a bit thick, but what are F1's ? It's a term i've not heard before.
An infertile hybrid of carp and crucian carp.
Only the tree roots keeping the bank together
Haha that's why it needed doing mate makes you wonder how many other venue lakes are like that doesn't it!
@@CatchFishingChannel would say nearly all of them 👍
No wonder the perch go to a huge size in Strip given the sheer volume of small silvers there!
For a moment I thought this was the Blot Outdoors Show 🤣
Do u know what fish they are putting in
Would be the perfect place to introduce a few female pike. The baitfish sizes will improve too.
Moving the fish where ??
This makes me see that a day ticket price is a fair price !
All them silvers and bream have you thought about adding a predator to the lakes like pike
Thanks you and thanks for watching!
@@CatchFishingChannel Thank you very mutch my dear... have a nice day.... see you….
Please no more music, just use the natural sounds please.
got more fish in the pond in may garden

Yeah I can imagine people doing that for a quick fix! Knowing the team at Lindholme it will be done 100% properly :)
its commen sence, carp go under the net, they go in the mud and avoid the net
Fishing places like this is not my cup'o'tea. I fihd them depressing places but each to their oiwn.
Lyndholme
Skip to 6:37 to actually see the netting
😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
Quit a different video of this was Florida!!!
What's the point in doing this ?
I use bait bigger than those 😂
its a Pond, not lake xd
nice video, shame about the amateurish level of fish movement
Imagine buying that fishery and it's only got silvers in
It could be worse.
You could buy a fishery which only has big stupid carp in.
And now that beautiful little lake is a dead lake. It takes at least 15 years to get healty. Fools
Not another hole in the ground, frequented by those who have the audacity to call themselves anglers.
Plant some trees. Will look miles more natural. Looks soulless that place.
Cool video, but that’s a pond, not a lake.
Talking to much
An interesting vid spoilt with stupid unnecessary annoying music, what ever makes you think people want to hear that noise..the vid is what people tune in for ..not the music
Looks like boring fishing... LOL where's the crappie, bass, and bluegill? Yeah you can keep the carp haha.
