    Do you receive a new license once approved for the compact license? How do you know it’s been approved? I’m excited to start traveling!

      @@twilliams9259 so if I hold Illinois nursing license, to get compact license in Texas, do I need to go through Illinois board of nursing or Texas board of nursing? Any idea?

    Hi I currently own a home in South Georgia and am finding different answers online. I want to work in Jacksonville,FL but online it says that with both states being compact I must change my state of residency. Is it possible for me to live in Georgia and work in Florida at the same time

    Excellent video, best info. I will say and suggest WGU also for ASN to BSN. 100% online, starts when you get ready 12 months a year on the 1st of every month. Fiscally fit too. Best priced online program. WGU charges per 6 month semester not per unit. Excellent support also🥰 keep up the good news Lady👆🏽💪🏽🙇🏽‍♀🙏🏽🙋🏽‍♀

  • @adoseofdooley

    Okay, I have a few questions.
    1. Once you obtain the compact license as a LPN, do you have to do the process over once you’re a RN?
    2. Do you have to have any experience before getting the license? Could I get it as soon as I pass the NCLEX?
    3. Would the compact license be beneficial to jobs that are non travel? I live in Tennessee but I’m less than an hour away from Mississippi. The LPN program I’m striving to get accepted into is in Mississippi, I wouldn’t have a Mississippi address because I have a Tennessee one. Should I get my license transferred to Tennessee & declare that as my compact state? Idk how I would declare Mississippi as my compact state because I don’t actually live there. I really hope I’m not confusing you!

    • @ALeeTV
      @ALeeTV  5 лет назад +2

      Hey girl! Let’s see..
      1. Great question!--I only applied for my RN so I can’t speak to the LPN route but because they are two completely different licenses, I would assume that you would have to do the process over as RN once you receive that license unless you plan to travel as an LPN.
      2. Nope not a lick of experience is necessary! lol student graduates can actually apply to get their compact license when they apply for their initial state licensure.
      3. Eh, not really since it only applies when you need to travel to another compact state-you can only declare if you live in a compact state or have your address listed as so for the board of nursing.
      Did I answer your question?

      @adoseofdooley 5 лет назад +2

    • @ALeeTV
      @ALeeTV  5 лет назад +1

      C Stewart hey there! Yes, the Board of nursing will want to do their own separately when you apply.. I’ve had maybe 3 done in one year because every board or travel nursing agency wants a completely new one each time 😅

    Thank you beautiful for this great video. I do have some questions if you don’t mind. I would greatly appreciate any advice or direction. I am a Canadian rn and I have just taken and hopefully passed the Texas nclex exam (September 2022). Does this automatically mean I have compact licence ?? Or do I need to specifically register for compact licence under Texas. I eventually do want to work and live permanently in Georgia. Also… what hospitals do you recommend in Georgia… I am a neuro trauma critical care nurse in Canada. I would like to apply to hospitals with this patient population. Do you know if hospitals do green card sponsorship for international rns or should I apply through an agency? Thank you in advance for your time.

    do you have a video for reentry.. for those that did not graduate in the last 4 years since graduating or those without 500 hrs experience..

    • @ALeeTV
      @ALeeTV  2 года назад

      No I don’t but I can try to answer your question here.. I’m not sure what you mean by reentry? What are you asking?

    • @yvesprince8937
      @yvesprince8937 2 года назад +1

      one example would be a person who stepped away from being a nurse for more than 4 years for his reasons.. and when that person wants to return to the profession.. what would be the nursing reentry program.. the details of that if you know or someone you know..

    • @ALeeTV
      @ALeeTV  2 года назад

      @@yvesprince8937 to my knowledge, theres no such thing as a reentry program for nursing. Either you have an active license or you don’t. Did this said person keep their license active? Because if so it doesn’t matter how long you step away, you can still work. Now, getting a job maybe be harder since they haven’t worked in 4 years.

    • @ALeeTV
      @ALeeTV  2 года назад +1

      @@yvesprince8937 they would need to activate their license first and I’ve heard of refresher courses that nurses can take but no programs, here check out this link that goes in detail: www.trustedhealth.com/blog/10-steps-for-nurses-wanting-to-return-to-practice
