The Abt TT RS-R is a little beast and I'm joined by Daniel Abt to take a look around his car and go for a test drive! It's built up from the base Audi TT RS having been dialed up to 500PS and 570Nm (from the standard 400PS and 400Nm), with the design transformed via new carbon fibre components throughout and the interior swathed with Alcantara.

Tim, this was really a nice video to watch. You obviously are used to driving supercars and exotics and I would presume that you get a bit spoiled driving the best cars in the world. In this video you have a friend who has a nice sports car (not a supercar..but "just" a sports car) Your genuine enthusiasm and your complimentary feedback to your friend as well as to us is wonderful to see. Yo Shmee, its not a naturally aspiratet engine, it doesnt need revs to produce power as much as it needs exhaust gases to spool the turbo. So for the best power punch you need to be on the throttle for a second and then be at ~6k rpm. Guess your're used to drive bigger engines, but this is just 2.5liters with a turbo ;)
I don't understand the backcovers on the seats in carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is to reduce weight but you add these plates so you add weight?? Only for the look then?
Where I live (Vancouver) the TT has an image as being a women's car..Driven by office assistants, hairdressers, a girl's first car from dad It's like the German equivalent of a Miata, sure it's a decent car but a guy has to explain why he's driving it. I guess the early versions of this car helped to form that perception

I wish you could get into 20.000 to 30.000€ car ranges and check them out like: seat, WV, Opel, Mercedes, BMW... It would be nice, cause sometimes it gets boring to be watching supercars all day long. Thanks for reading.

33 mpg (12ltr/KM) is pretty decent. I get 20mpg (7Ltr/KM) from my Porsche. New engines are definitely more efficient.
