It can be quick or take some time, but either way it's so worth the effort to build up trust and confidence. Neglect is definitely up there as one of the worst. I don't think they wanted 3 dogs. They wanted one dog, but when that dog ended up being glued to mom, the boy who the dog was supposed to be a companion for, was sad. To make the boy happy, the dad got the two other dogs for him to play with - why he got two and not just one, no idea. To me, it looked like the wife was actually enjoying being loved by Juni B while Juni B hated her husband. She did nothing to stop that behavior and even enforced it (maybe unwillingly, but still...) . Also, I think she smiled more at the beginning of the episode when her poodle still hated her husband. At the end she even said she was happy her husband was happy. That means, she totally evaded the actual question. She's NOT happy with the situation. She loved being Juni Bs entire world and she got very jealous when her husband managed to form a closer bond with the dog. At the very end when she was seen training the terriers, she still referred to them as "these dogs", not by their names. For her, Apple and Zuzu, are still those nameless dogs outside her husband got as a consolation. I don't think she ever wanted them and i don't think she seriously wants anything to do with them. If Juni B wouldn't have been that aggressive, I'm pretty sure no trainer whould have ever entrered their house and nothing would have changed. Even with that behaviour, it took them 3 years to get a trainer. My educated guess: it was mainly the husbands doing and the fact that Juni B was biting the son. The mom was happy the way things were.
Even before I got my staffy I watched these videos for a long time, they really do help and whenever I had a problem with my staff when she was younger I’d just review the videos and now she’s trained up by me, a 13 year old
The kids now are having fun with the dogs because they have a good trainer teaching them. It melts my 💜 to see them as a family with no barrier between boys vs girls
I’m so happy it turned out this way. The mom looked like she was going to need to adjust to sharing Juni B but that’s ok too. As long as everyone is happy and all the doggos are safe and loved.
I’m surprised Victoria didn’t address Spencer shooting rubber bands at Junie. I feel bad for the babies outside. Edit: it looks like she actually did by telling him to have more patience.
She may have off camera as well. He looked so embarrassed and like he might cry. They don’t always put segments in order, but he look very embarrassed.
Here in the neighbourhood is a young boy always anoying my dog, trowing rocks, stones sticks, and than he went to claim by his parents, that my dog wanted to bite him. This was going so far that i had even to bring the boy with his parents to justice. After that, never any problem.
This was one of my favorite episodes. I love the dad and how committed he was to turning things around. I love the transformation of their dogs, especially Junie B. Love Victoria!!
Me too! I rarely find myself watching full episodes nowadays bc my schedule is so busy (trying to finish up my PhD in animal behaviour ☺️). I’ll often watch a few minutes and maybe skip to the end. I started watching because I have an adopted toy poodle too and he looks like he could be Junie B’s twin brother, it kinda freaked me out for a sec lol. But I got very invested and kept watching because the family, especially the kids, seem so kind and really wanted to help their animals. Really wish there were more people like this in the world!
There will be brand new ones in the near future. During the next month if you have a problem with your dog, take video and send it and an explanation to Victoria and the show. For address look at her post from the last week or two. The older videos Need to be seen to remind people and be seen by others that haven’t seen them. Please keep in mind like people of all ages need to keep up all through their lives educating themselves. Dogs need the same! Go give your dog lots of love and keep in mind they need some training all their lives. It’s good for both of you. It’s more bonding between you.
Can she come to Canada? I have a neighbour who could really use some advice/training when it comes to dogs. She got this big rambunctious lab mix who keeps getting out of her yard but he’s not a bad dog just young and needs an owner who knows what they’re doing.
Used to have a dog we got when he was 10 months old. Obedience trained, temperament tested but he absolutely hated my dad. Only thing we can think of is my dad had a strong English accent and it’s possible the dog had a very bad experience with an Englishman in the first 10 months of his life.
I actually cried watching this video. My dog is also traumatized and rescue. He was never that bad because we read a ton when he arrived, but is really sad to see traumatized dogs
This was such a heart warming episode seeing the guys really put in the gentle time to win over Joonie-bee. All three dogs were so smart and eager to learn! All everyone needed was to learn how to communicate to each other. What a sweet little family.
Men taking rejection personally...That's probably what Juny is afraid of. Glad Victoria brought in an empathy lesson. They should have gotten a trainer earlier. It's so amazing why people in general are so afraid of the question "why" and avoid it.
I like this family. I LOVE how this entire family is invested in creating a familiar bond between themselves and all 3 pets. They appear to truly want to make their pets a part of their family. You can tell they're good people. The family's transparency, honesty about issues for all 3 dogs, the crippling contributions from each family member, willingness to take accountability & receptiveness to change/coaching.....speaks VOLUMES! Not to mention how both children have an Impressive degree of compassion, understanding and perception; Great head on their shoulders.
Junie B, that’s a cute name. I was really upset at the rubber band thing but I can see he’s upset over feeling rejected. One of my best friends, when we were roommates at uni, she found an abandoned dog. After she got him all cleaned up and checked out medically, we noticed that he didnt like men 👀 👀 we think he might have been forced into dog fighting or bred for dog fighting because he’s a full bred American bully. She had to go through a lot to guide him through his emotional trauma, poor thing.
We have adopted a dog without a name 3 days ago. She spent 2 years without being talked to. I even thought she might had been deaf. 2yo not having a name, not knowing any words like walkies, sit... She wasn't even looking for us when we were talking to her, because she didn't know any communication. In 48hrs she learnt her name with us, she learnt sit and come on (she learnt these words in 2 languages as we are bilingual). She started to observe us and spend time with us more and more because all she had been doing was sitting on her bed or sleeping before. She was exactly like Apple & Zuzu and she is such a loving girl. Now we are working at her fear triggered aggression towards dogs. These people just for doga and made them homeless. Terrible.

I notice something that isn’t mentioned. The mother and daughter are possessive of Junie Bee 🐝 and hold her protectively. That will cause a dog 🐩 see others as a threat. Anyway they had success, it seems.
16:55 That's what is called empathy, one of the most important elements of emotional intelligence, and Victoria is teaching those kids that. So as we can see, empathy is not just only for humans, but for any living creature; empathy is also about respect. If schools at all leves around the world teach emotional intelligence and self-esteem instead of preparing us for getting a job first, this mankind would be totally different.
The mother had enjoyed the fact that she loved and trusted only her! Now the dog is adjusting to dad, it is disappointing to her. I think mom could use sum attention too!😊😊😊
Cesar Millan was completely right when he said (multiple times) that dogs-and cats- living in USA are totally spoiled and mistreated by their owners. Living stressed, rarely take them for a walk, incorrectly feed, and the list goes on and on. Poor dogs and cats, no wonder why they have behavioral issues, it's all because their owners have theirs and transmit those to the dogs/cats.
One of the few families I actually thought were generally good but unfortunately clueless about what to do with the dogs. Glad they got help and it was nice to see how willing they all were to work on training and sticking to the rules.
Woman: I mean do we need to get rid of junie b…… Husband: well now hold on that’s quite the stretch. If your first reaction when there’s an issue with an animal.. is “maybe we should get rid of them” just don’t get animals.
My poodle's favorite person in the world was my dad. Like her #1. Then i came next, then my mom & then my sister. She never really liked kids tho. She loved my aunt but loathed my uncle. My uncle loves dogs to death tho. He's rescued 13 dogs in the past 30 years. His rottweiler bit him in the face when they were playing around. He got stitches but he never loved him any less for it. I got my poodle when I was 11. She passed away 2 weeks after i turned 26, in January. Poodles are little rascals with amazing personalities. She broke my family's heart when she left us. It felt like I lost my little sibling but we spent her last holiday season with her. She even got to go for the Pumpkin patch for the first time. So, not so many regrets.
@@rottieshepcalibre9156 I've got a question. Why was Victoria teaching them about the personal bubble when it was her fear of men that was the problem? Unless I missed something, she was fine with females being in her space and the works, so I don't see how the personal bubble lesson was of any relevance in this particular case.
Who lets their kids fire elastic bands at the dog? They should not be allowed to have animals, let alone children. The boy is an absolute disgrace - they should be ashamed.
So angering that they keep Apple n Zuzu only outside, but let Junie B inside all the time. How dare you. That is so cruel to those puppies and they are going to hate your mini poodle.
Little dogs are famous for being possessive and using their person as their protection. So if the “person” doesn’t take control they do. So always push them off when they growl etc to person or another animal near them. They don’t get to be with their person when misbehaving not using them as a crutch to be bad.
Regardless of the mom's jealousy.. A progress is a progress. She was just super attached w/ Juni, that's it. And it's like letting Juni bond w/ someone else now. She already had thiz idea that it's just HER for Juni. It's like letting your child be free and be open to other ppl that's the feeling. Im pretty sure even w/ slight jealousy she's happy that peace is now achieved in their home.
I can’t believe peoples first thoughts when they FIRST get a dog - puppy, usually, they don’t think to train them; they just coddle them. sure, dogs DO need attention, lots of it - but they do need training, too. thats one of the most important things for normally *ANY* house pet! TRAIN YOUR PETS. Cats, birds - ANY house pet can be trained. My first thoughts when I get a new pet would be, “Attention and training is what this animal needs,” i usually train as soon as i can! Training can prevent SO many things from happening.
I'm glad that I wasn't the only one noticing it... The mother was definitely enabling the dog's behavior and didn't want anything to do with the "other" dogs.. And I think this hasn't change.. It was clear that she was jealous of her husband by the tone in her voice and her look and by saying at some point: "you think you could walk her without me??".. No comment... But I wonder how can a mother not feel sorry for her son getting rejected and bitten by the dog that was supposed to be for him..?? The poor kids almost cried when he was describing Victoria about the situation. I don't agree with the father taking 2 more dogs to make his son feel better but at least he was thoughtful and did something...
Everyone is dogpiling on Joe as if it wouldn’t hurt to get a pet and have them hate you. For 3 years he’s watched his snobby wife baby Junnie and her hate him. Joe doe’s obviously have a temper but a lot of people do, losing your cool isn’t the problem it’s how you go about it that is he was visibly frustrated and angry but learned to back down.

Even before I got my staffy I watched these videos for a long time, they really do help and whenever I had a problem with my staff when she was younger I’d just review the videos and now she’s trained up by me, a 13 year old
seeing dogs that are neglected heal and dogs with trauma heal literally make me so happy
I had a little poodle just like her, a long time ago. Her name is GEM. She was adorable little Teacup poodle.. I loved her so much.
The kids now are having fun with the dogs because they have a good trainer teaching them. It melts my 💜 to see them as a family with no barrier between boys vs girls
Her tail wagging at the end is so adorable 🥰
Victoria is fixing the entire family. Great job!
She did it in a very nice way.
@@JMBBrasil she’s amazing with kids
@@JMBBrasil Yeah, she said “ I get why you’re resentful, but you’re not helping.” That’s pretty direct and fair.
Look at that little nugget asleep in his arms at the end! She's gonna be a daddies girl for sure!
Those kids are so well spoken!
Here in the neighbourhood is a young boy always anoying my dog, trowing rocks, stones sticks, and than he went to claim by his parents, that my dog wanted to bite him. This was going so far that i had even to bring the boy with his parents to justice. After that, never any problem.
Dogs are more inteligent than most people think.🥰
The wife loved that the dog keeps the husband at bay. I can totally see this behavior going on.
That's what I thought, too. It's a divorce waiting to happen. Like how she smirks whenever he talks is a massive red flag.
This was one of my favorite episodes. I love the dad and how committed he was to turning things around. I love the transformation of their dogs, especially Junie B. Love Victoria!!
I have watched a ton of these and this family are among the few that actually listen and applied the techniques shown to them by Victoria
I really enjoyed this episode because the family was so sweet and everyone worked to make the dog training work. Great job!
Wow..Just seeing Junie B lay on the daddy relaxed and comfortable warms my heart! God Bless them all!!! :)
Used to have a dog we got when he was 10 months old. Obedience trained, temperament tested but he absolutely hated my dad. Only thing we can think of is my dad had a strong English accent and it’s possible the dog had a very bad experience with an Englishman in the first 10 months of his life.
Could've also just been a fear with unfamiliarity. New things are scary to dogs and English accents are strong.
Are you British though?
Poor Apple and Zuzu…
The 3 dogs are so cute. I hope they all work in developing good relationships with them.
These parents are amazing. They have AMAZING kids.
Terrible.
Thank you for explaining how to treat dogs the way they want to be treated to give them and us the best relationship for both.
I wonder what this man’s temper is like when the cameras aren’t on him.
Ugh, that snarky little smile.
The foster family really should not have allowed Junie B to go to this house.
Well at least she has a permanent home.
@@MillennialMountainMama - she could have gone to a better suited family 3 yrs ago tho
It works now it’s better the good has grown comfortable with both sexes than going to a female house to not solve the issue 😊
@@cynthia1477 itz nit always the way we want sometimes itz ment to be maybe difficult but yet beautiful when time passes, same with humans when they r in a relationship they mayy have alottt of troubles and that shd not be a reason for them to back off and find some body else until unless itz out offf the limit byt silly thing shdent be a problem and shd try to solve the problem so with the dog
Is it just me or Victoria is like super nanny but for dogs?
That's not just you. Victoria got the idea for this program when she watched Supernanny.
Oh ok
Victoria: reprimand the dog.
The wife, in a soft voice: aH
I feel so bad for Juni b and the two dogs outside💔but mostly for apple and Zuzu getting into ignored 😢at least they got to bond with them
I notice something that isn’t mentioned. The mother and daughter are possessive of Junie Bee 🐝 and hold her protectively. That will cause a dog 🐩 see others as a threat. Anyway they had success, it seems.
It's a form of enabling her behavior which she took as acceptable since it wasn't corrected
I think mom could use sum attention too!😊😊😊
I noticed that too!
Wonderful humans, young and old, everyone responding positively to training ❤
Cesar Millan was completely right when he said (multiple times) that dogs-and cats- living in USA are totally spoiled and mistreated by their owners. Living stressed, rarely take them for a walk, incorrectly feed, and the list goes on and on. Poor dogs and cats, no wonder why they have behavioral issues, it's all because their owners have theirs and transmit those to the dogs/cats.
Great job Victoria, you helped the family and their dogs! 👍
One of the few families I actually thought were generally good but unfortunately clueless about what to do with the dogs. Glad they got help and it was nice to see how willing they all were to work on training and sticking to the rules.
Woman: I mean do we need to get rid of junie b……
Husband: well now hold on that’s quite the stretch.
If your first reaction when there’s an issue with an animal.. is “maybe we should get rid of them” just don’t get animals.
HE SAYS THEY DONT HURT MUCH..MOMS FAULT LETTING HIM TORMENT THE DOG 😢
Spencer sounds so intelligent & grown up!! I LOVE hearing him speak!
I can't believe the parents weren't called out for abusing their dogs by Victoria.
It's a dog.
@@Dan-di9jdWhat of it???
lol that's an overreaction.
It’s interesting how often it happens that rescues are more scared if men than of women. I feel really sorry for the guys, that must be frustrating 🙁
It’s not fascinating 🤨 it’s horrible. It means they were abused and traumatized by a man.
@@MillennialMountainMama that's how it goes... True ❗
Well men are scary so
@@MillennialMountainMama yeah… I didn‘t want to sound mean, so I used „fascinating“ 😅 of course it‘s horrible.
@@MillennialMountainMama even if a man didn't do something to them, men tend to be larger and potentially just seem more intimidating for a small dog.
she's so real for that
those children are so smart and well spoken
usually when dogs are scared of one gender or type of person its because they have traumatic experiences with them...
Binge watched one weekend, next thing you know I'm looking up dog trainer schools. I'd love to do it.
Work on your dog psychology. Being able to see the world thru a dogs eyes and having plenty of patience is key to dog training... good luck
Iam so happy this family is learning what they need to know 😊😊
Who lets their kids fire elastic bands at the dog? They should not be allowed to have animals, let alone children. The boy is an absolute disgrace - they should be ashamed.
waow junie B is such a smart girl!! i m suprised at how quickly she learned everything
My toy poodle hated men we first got her, but she got over it slowly.
Thanks for sharing this great job 👏 I learned so much 💜
I extremely liked this video, its very interesting to see how just with treats what you can accomplish ,I think you all did very well, 😀
I felt so bad for the other dogs with no attention🥺
Is it only me or does Abbey show already she could be one great dog or animal trainer shes a natural ! She even told mom when she was wrong wrong !!
Great job everyone keep up the good work ❤
So angering that they keep Apple n Zuzu only outside, but let Junie B inside all the time. How dare you. That is so cruel to those puppies and they are going to hate your mini poodle.
That man has the smoothest southern accent I’ve ever heard
I like how the sister is like “this is not how you are little rat”
Little dogs are famous for being possessive and using their person as their protection. So if the “person” doesn’t take control they do. So always push them off when they growl etc to person or another animal near them. They don’t get to be with their person when misbehaving not using them as a crutch to be bad.
Lovely family and great that it's now a united family.
Victoria Stilwell🤗
That boy is a menace to the dog. Who shoots anything at a dog?!
Bro that kid blushed when he said she was a "beautful worker" you can just tell
Which dog has the cleanest coat?
A shampoodle!
Why are the 2 dogs living outside and the other dog inside? don't get it!
The tiny poodle is just so precious 🤣😂❤️
This whole video was awesome! So informative! ❤️
I cant understand why anyone would want three dogs and think its not going to be a lot of work to take care of them😮
I'm glad that I wasn't the only one noticing it...
Why can’t the terriers be inside the house?
Everyone is dogpiling on Joe as if it wouldn’t hurt to get a pet and have them hate you. For 3 years he’s watched his snobby wife baby Junnie and her hate him. Joe doe’s obviously have a temper but a lot of people do, losing your cool isn’t the problem it’s how you go about it that is he was visibly frustrated and angry but learned to back down.
The poodle is so cute tho. I wanna cuddle it!
