Absolutely gorgeous, towards the end it looked like a big slab of chocolate that you were turning ... waiting for the finish ... oh yes, a truly stunning piece 👍
Tried to hollow out my first bowl yesterday with a spindle gouge...it didn't go very well. I just learned one needs a bowl gouge. Any recommendations for a first purchase? Thanks!
I'm not sure if I'm the best person to ask, as I only have one, and I've never tried other brands, but I use a Robert Sorby 10mm or 3/8". This one came with my first lathe, and I've liked it from the start. Hope this helps
My oh my, that's huge ! And really came out well. Oof, imagine the tree that came from ! Keep 'em coming. Take care. -Mike
It was definitely a huge tree, and I have more!
A lovely looking piece of walnut. Well done Heather
Thanks Brent 😊
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Nicely done, and no flying.
I was definitely holding my breath through the outboard turning, that's for sure 🫨
Truly a beautiful piece, Heather! Even prettier than it looked last might!
Thanks Billy! It all depends on the light!😁
Wow! When you applied the tung oil and the grain exploded, what a fantastic view. You did a great job on this piece.
Thanks Doug! It definitely popped with the tung oil! I think this is going to be my main "go to" finish from now on
Beautiful, Heather
A nice addition to your kitchen gear! 😎
Thanks Leo, but I'll probably put it up for sale
That looks great. Nice turning.
Thank you so much ❤️

That's impressive. Nice video(something I've been struggling with) Oiling was the icing on the cake.
