I make something similar but to cut the sweetness from the jam/honey, I sprinkle minced jalapeños on top. I know it sounds weird, but the flavor of sweet and spicy is amazing.
Beautiful presentation and so simple to assemble. I wanted to make a puff pastry version, but store is out. Found your recipe, wish I would not have cut up my Plant City FL strawberries yesterday! I have Maple Bacon Onion Jam. Like the added almonds and touch of salt. Plan on baking in my cast iron skillet. thanks

I just refrigerate it and usually try to get through any leftovers within a day or two! :)
